Breakfast Cafe

I was really excited to go here. Called to make sure they were not busy was told no. Went they had a few people in line but not bad. Had to wait 30mins for my food was given half of the food I ordered two small plates. I asked for the missing food it was never given to me. Food was just ok not great. I talked to the manger he was rude and said this was becouse it was Valentine’s day. That was a the most lame excuse I have heard. It was not that busy and I did not order a lot. On top of it food was somewhat warm. It should not of taken that long to make 2 orders. I should of gotten the food I ordered. The manager never even offered to get me the missing food. What a waste of $ 20. McDonald’s would of even been better. I would not recommend this place to anyone and won’t return. I wish I could give a negative amount of stars for the service and food that I received.

I made a phone order, and it was a big order. the person that took the order was very patient, and she gave me a estimate of time till it was ready. I asked for my total, and she said you have to come in to get your total, i asked if there is a calculator nearby to give me a rough estimate. She handed the phone to someone else, and the person was not so pleasant. She tried to tell me the same thing, come in and get your total. I said, im making a phone order and I’d like my total now, i dont want to come in and it be more then what i bring with me. She sounded annoyed with my request, and this was a first experience of calling in my order and this kind of service I was served. I’ve always had wonderful service there this is a first, for me with bad service. Food is fantastic though.

Great breakfast spot to go to when you have time to just enjoy a big, delicious, morning meal. They are very generous with their portions and the prices are reasonable. We all had something different and everyone was more than satisfied with the quality and freshness. I’ve only been here twice, and each time our server was friendly and very attentive. Looking forward to our next visit!

I really liked their omelette because it has a variety of choices. In addition, I absolutely loved their orange juice. It was amazingly fresh and very pulpy.
The café is conveniently located closer to 101 highway. The café is open 7 days per week.
I’m going back there soon!

First time here. It’s severely outdated, not super clean. The service was polite, but nothing special. The food was good, not great… But damn if I didn’t love it here anyway. It’s like the diner you see in every movie from the 1970’s. I cleaned the plate of a so-​so breakfast and felt good about it! I’ll be back, not tomorrow… but someday!

This is a super quaint restaurant off the Carmen exit of the 101. There are a lot of regulars which is definitely a good thing. Very popular on weekends!
Recently has new manager but clearly he is very passionate about his job. You can tell that everyone from the cooks to be manager enjoys their jobs.
Try the freshly squeezed orange juice; it is very fresh and sweet! I also highly recommend the omelettes as well as the breakfast special.
Just some advice, you order in the front and grab a number and the waitresses will bring you your food.

Good food but not good enough for the cost. Okay but big family might be uncomfortable because table r mostly set for 4 and 2 persons

The Unilocal reviews were better than this place deserved. The guy at the counter sure seemed in a rush. Skimpy breakfast rang up to 21 bucks for two little combos with subpar coffee and salty pancakes. I don’t think I would ever come here again.

Breakfast Café always has the friendliest employees and the best homemade style meals. I always feel warmly welcomed, and their prices are great!

Great potatoes, if you’re vegetarian give them a try. Good breakfast food in general, and the owner was super nice. Me and my wife would go out of our way just to eat here.

Breakfast Café is one of those restaurants that you go to when you want everything breakfast (hence the name). They’ll have everything ranging from pancakes, eggs, sausage, to bacon, potatoes, and burgers (if your into that kind of breakfast).
I go here occasionally for lunch and the lady who takes your order (I believe she’s the owner) is an amazing host. I don’t particularly find the food here mind blowing but it does satisfy my weekly cravings for breakfast food. Although, sometimes I just get one of the burgers and forgo the whole breakfast thing haha.

Great place. Came here for lunch but ended up w the avocado omelette. Great service by the Greek owners; the food was plentiful, the avocados were thick slices. Thoroughly enjoyable

First time eating here. Great place I stopped by and got the steak and eggs breakfast plate. The price was within reason. The service was great. You walk to the counter and order to go or dine in. I chose to dine in and sat down and they brought my food to me. With all the condiments needed. I knew when ordering the steak and eggs it wouldn’t be no Ruth Chris steak but all things considered it was cooked how I asked and the eggs and potatoes I couldn’t ask for more. Also the home made salad was delicious. My over all experience made me give this place ⁵⁄₅ stars and I will be going back.

My son got his pancakes after a 15m wait, I had to ask for my order, it showed another 10m later. I had the village omelet. I ordered it without cheese but it still came with cheese. The potatoes were cold and hard. The omelette had zero flavor. The spinach was clearly canned or frozen and the mushrooms tasted like dirt. The toast had butter stains, but orange so that was weird.
I won’t be back.

The food is okay, but usually faster than going to a sit down restaurant. So, today, we decided we needed something somewhat quick with a baby in tow and on our way to run errands. However, the wait for food was nearly an hour! Definitely not worth the wait. Then, when we got the food, my eggs (an omelette) were not fully cooked, and my husband’s order was messed up too. We
will probably not be back. Especially with so many delicious breakfast choices in Camarillo since Breakfast Café is not always quicker. For a quick breakfast, I’d prefer fast food or a bagel over what we got today.
Additionally, when we asked if we can cancel our order after waiting 45 minutes, they told us we had to get back in line if we wanted to cancel. The whole restaurant was unhappy as we overheard many conversations, watched as people changed their eat in order to take out, and parts of parties leaving their party because they had to leave. A simple heads up that they were running behind would have been nice at the time of ordering.

No complaints. this is my 3^rd time here. Food is good. Always how I order it. I wasn’t super excited about my spanish omelet te it didn’t have as much flavor as I anticipated. But it was good. I’m sure I will be back.

Friendly lady who always runs the cash register and remembers why I order. I just need a lot of calories because I train so much, the breakfast burrito (w/​bacon & sausage) will definitely fill you up! I also get eggs with 2 bacon and 2 sausage with hash browns. Perfect for affordable home-​style breakfast!

This place is eh. Had the cheese omelette, it was scrambled eggs with cheese on top. Not an omelette… Potatoes had no flavor and the salsa is just puréed tomato with garlic.
She (the owner) is always under staffed probably why 75% of her tables are dirty. I’ve heard her yell at her staff pretty badly and she belittled them. Just watched her pick up dirty plates off a table and not even wipe it down for the next customer. She’s at the register handling money, hasn’t washed her hands handling food, holding silverware by the wrong side… Lost our appetite

Conveniently stopped into this place as our tire was being worked on at a nearby Tire shop…
Walked in and immediately felt the mom and pop shop vibe that I really appreciate. The lady behind the counter was very welcoming and friendly. I did see a fly flying around but tried to not think too much about it.
Our food came out from the kitchen at a decent amount of time. We sat on a table outside which was nice because the weather was just perfect today.
PLEASE review the pictures I posted of our plates to get an idea of size, portion and a simple visual.
So although the presentation of the food was good, unfortunately the food was lacking alot of flavor. I had to put alot of s&p, Tabasco and hot sauce for my scrambled eggs to have flavor. The sausages tasted like the pre-​frozen ones you can buy in bulk from Costco… Yet the French toast was pretty tasty, felt homemade so that was good. The omelet in my other picture was good, but don’t let presentation fool you… Although something looks good can’t always trust it will taste good.
Will we be back? Probably not.
