Dean Amundsen, O.D.

This office is so nice! The staff is very friendly and informative. They really try to make you feel comfortable and the appearance of the office is so pretty. Dr. Amundsen is knowledgable and a very outgoing guy. My experience was awesome and so glad I found this office.
Oh and free water, tea and coffee is always nice. The equipment that they have is so high tech, it’s neat! They actually have a machine that could sense the messages that go from your optic nerve to your cortex. It’s so crazy!

The staff was friendly and dr. Seemed knowledgeable i refered a friend there and we both felt very presured into «upsales» so to speak extra test, latest greatest lense, scratch resistance this and that. I get that’s how business stays alive but products need to benefit the consumer.

I had my annual eye exam here recently. Everyone in the office is super friendly. The office is very nice, clean and modern. Dr. Amundsen is super friendly and thorough. I am picking up my glasses next week. I definitely recommend this office!

Dr. Amundsen’s office is amazing. The office is friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. Dr. Amundsen is extremely thorough and always uses the most recent technology to make sure you are getting the best exam you can. I am writing this for my husband who does not have a Unilocal acct. He recently got new glasses from Dr. Amundsen, and he is seeing the best he has ever seen.

On my first visit I was so impressed with Dr. Amundsen and his staff. They were friendly, professional, clear communicators, and had the various machines required to asses my unique eye care.
I admired their courage to address my own misunderstanding about progressive lenses. They took the time to show me the reality of the type of eye ware they recommended to undo my false perception. They wanted to ensure I understood the type of lens that would best correct my vision and fit in with my lifestyle.
I am grateful for their skilled care and can’t wait for my new pair of glasses.

We’ve been going to Dr. Amundsen for about 4 years now. The Doctor and Staff have always been great to work with. Everyone is so nice. I also take both of my young sons. They are great with kids. I am very happy with our eye care and happy to recommend his office.

Dr Amundsen has been our eye doctor for about 15 years. His office staff is friendly, he doesn’t keep you waiting and he’s informative and helpful. I would suggest that you come to this office for your eye needs. They also have a great staff to help with choosing glasses.

Dr. Amundsen and his staff are really fantastic. I’ve been seeing him for about a year regarding laser eye surgery. Dr. Amundsen referred me to a great eye surgeon who performed the surgery and Dr. Amundsen has taken great care with me in all of the follow-​up exams. I needed some pretty serious correction, so my recovery from the surgery has been slow. Dr. Amundsen has been so patient and generous with his time making sure that my vision is what it should be and also what I’d like it to be. His staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional. I recommend Dr. Amundsen to everyone who asks about an eye doctor. I also recommend that anyone considering Lasik or a similar procedure go to see Dr. Amundsen for referral to a really great eye surgeon. My husband also sees Dr. Amundsen for eyeglasses and he is always just as happy with Dr. Amundsen’s care as well as the office staff.

Dr. Amundsen has been great. I found him by luck of the draw, as he was listed as a local provider for my vision insurance, VSP. I’ve been a patient for several years now, and I have been very happy. Dr. Amundsen is very nice, patient, and willing to explain things. As is his staff! The office itself is beautiful. Dr. Amundsen has seen me through eyeglasses, and now has patiently helped me along with my first pair of contacts. Let me tell you, my eyes are not good, and it’s been a process to get contacts that fit me well. Through it all, he has been willing to work with me, and successive trial pairs of lenses.
I’d highly recommend him and his staff!
Side note: If you live in Camarillo, his office is very easily reachable via the bike path. When I have time, I enjoy riding my bike there. :-)
OH, and as a nice perk, they offer complimentary gourmet coffee there. That’s a really nice touch, although, I would say that it’d be nice if they kept an eye that it stayed hot. It’s maybe 50% of the time when I stop by, the coffee is cold, or luke-​warm. =-[. Then again, they aren’t Starbucks…

Excellent care in a modern environment. Dr. Amundsen is constantly staying abreast of new technology in his field. The staff are all very helpful and courteous. All in all, a most pleasant experience.
