Stuart Heller, OD

I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Dr Heller. Thorough exams, knowledgeable, and friendly staff, and nice office with advanced technology. My only complaint is I wish they had more frames to choose from. Their designer selection is very modest. I’ve been there two years in a row but may try a new optometrist this year to find better frames. I hate to leave Dr Heller as he is a great Optometrist, but since I’ve worn glasses for over 30 years frames mean alot to me.

Where to begin. I first came in to Dr. Heller’s office in November 2014 for an eye exam and contact lens fitting. Everyone there was professional and nice and I had contacts for the first time.
Fast forward to October 2015, and I had an appointment to see what the deal was with my contacts bothering me lately. Once I was seen by Dr. Heller, I asked about my eye irritation. He asked if I used a peroxide solution every night, which I told him that I did not and used saline most nights and peroxide every now and again. Upon hearing this he proceeded to tell me how ridiculous that was to not use it and questioned over and over why I didn’t. So there it was, the simple answer to my problem in the form of «everybody knows that, that’s completely ridiculous.»
All that being said, I’m done going here. I don’t go to professionals for them to look at me dumbfounded when I do not have knowledge of their profession and I am paying for their expertise. It’s pretty messed up to get blasted by a guy you pay to help you.

I was referred here by my brother and sister and am very happy with Dr. Heller! He is very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and you can tell he genuinely enjoys seeing you and making your vision the best it can be.

Called on Friday had an appointment for Saturday. Easy to find office. Dr Heller is nice, friendly and easy to talk to. Clean office with an open feel and lots of natural light. Did I mention he’s open on Saturday? Every Saturday! That’s a big plus for me! Convenience is everything to me with my busy schedule. Ordered my contacts and I will pick them up in a few days.
I will definitely return for my exam next year.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hellers for over 10 years. Dr. Heller and his office staff are friendly, competent, and will go beyond to make sure you have what you need. Dr. Heller has helped me through the need (denial!) for reading glasses by use of multifocal contact lenses — FANTASTIC! I no longer have to pull out my reading glasses for the newspaper, computer screen or menus, and I can see better in the distance with my new lenses. I highly recommend Dr. Heller and his helpful staff for all visual needs.

Note: Dr. Heller has moved from their smaller location in the Trader Joe’s shopping plaza to next to Taco Bell off of Daily Dr & Las Posas.
Parking: Shared with the rest of the strip mall but is definitely a lot easier than their old location. –Begin side note– Why are Trader Joe’s parking lots so inconvenient? Do they assume that their clientele comprises of excellent drivers/​pedestrians? –End side note–
Service: Friendly all around (from the doc and staff). I haven’t been to the office when there’s been more than three customer groups so I assume that their scheduling system is efficient. Dr. Heller seems to have experience with many other Lasik patients so he passes on the knowledge. Although, be careful with the upsell of lubricating drops. I feel like I was an easy target for it.
Frame selection: Not huge but it’ll do. Consists of both prescription and nonprescription (sun)glasses. Designer sunglasses seem to be average retail price.
