Should call this place Eggs n Canned Foods. Had some friends visiting and decided to give this place a try since the airport café had a long line. Really regretted not waiting for the other place because this was a huge disappointment. First of all, we walked in and the four ladies standing at the register merely stared at us. I told them we had 4 people and received 4 blank stares. Finally one of them realized that we needed to be seated and showed us to a table. We had 2 incomplete silverware sets and when I asked for a couple spoons I got a dirty look. We ordered and our waitress brought us the complimentary Swedish pancakes. They were good, and in case you are wondering what a Swedish pancake is, it is a crêpe. I enjoyed mine until I realized there was a dead fruit fly on my plate. Yum. Didn’t realize the free pancake also came with a free bug. When my Spanish omelette came, I was disgusted to see that the«salsa» lazily spilled over my omelette was nothing more than canned diced tomatoes. And the green chilies inside the omelette were just canned chilies. And to top it off, the cheese was a slice of half melted cheese. What self respecting restaurant puts sliced cheese, canned tomatoes, and canned chilies on their omelettes. My friend compared the sour cream in her omelette to the strange squeeze sour cream you receive on Taco Bell orders. On the plus side, I did enjoy the side of fruit and the biscuit that came with the meal. Now I understand why the airport café has a line and this place has an abundance of available tables. Will not go back!

Dishonest Receptionists!!! will tell you 20-minutes wait time but actually 45-minutes pasts still no available table for us. We understand that this is a busy weekend day but still you cannot make excuses to promise something you cannot deliver. They did not even bother apologizing for«wasting and disrespecting our valuable time»!! Perhaps if this 45-minutes wait for nothing is going to be deducted from their paycheck they will understand the value of their guests time too… Will definitely stop coming to this place anymore. Not worth the wait, there is nothing super special in their menu!!!

Had breakfast here 3 days in a row. FAST service, excellent food, super clean and they have 9 servers and 9 people in the kitchen working. Impressive! Excellent! Best breakfasts in town. Highly recommend!

This is my absolute favorite breakfast place to eat at in Camarillo! Their lunches are amazing as well! sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but it is well worth it and the wait just says how awesome the food is.

The food was amazing but what’s better than the food is the superior service I received form one of the employees Justin he was beyond helpful and caring to my needs. I will go back 1000 more times for the service!

Great food… Long wait but I won’t hold it against them since it is Mothers Day. Brought my family here to eat for a Mother’s Day treat. Wouldn’t mind coming back when the crowd isn’t so crazy! My family ordered their special; Salmon Benedict and it was amazing! I tried their specialty, the Swedish pancakes… And I killed the plate! Definitely going to come back one of these days.

Don’t let the bad reviews fool you. It is exactly what the name says… mostly breakfast, some lunch too… it’s good & portions are good sized. Breakfast sometimes hits the spot for lunch! The service is friendly & the food comes out quick!

Always a pleasent and happy experience here. I always go with the chicken fried steak and eggs its bomb. Be aware on the weekends this place gets very busy in the morning from around 9 to 11 if you live local or in Ventura county you know that every breakfast place worth its salt is slammed at those times. But its Always clean, food is delicious, staff is always polite and helpful and the service is excellent.

Enjoyable breakfast and the place was packed! We ate at the counter and I had coffee and an omelet. Going through the order it sounded like too much to eat so I skipped the toast and they kindly offered sliced tomatoes instead. Very nice, and I’m a fat guy so if I’m declining included food options you know the portions are generous.

Have always loved this restaurant, we are suckers to their Swedish crepes! We often come for breakfast, but sometimes we order lunch just because we are in the mood. Today I ordered a spinach, mushrooms, bell pepper, and ham omelette. It was a lot smaller than other restaurants’, but it came with fries and toasts so there was plenty of food. Hubby had a Ruben sandwich and didn’t leave anything left for me to pick on. The service here is better than at most dinners: Food comes quick, and everyone is friendly. Not sure whether it’s a coincidence, but throughout my years of frequenting many Eggs & Things, I have never seen non-attractive waitresses and hostesses working at this chain. It’s neither good nor bad … just an observation on my part.

I tend to be a creature of habit. Once I find a spot, I stick to it and commit. That’s basically my relationship with this place. I could eat at the other locations, but I don’t. I like this place better. I’ve been coming here for years. My friend is a loyal customer and only ever comes here for breakfast. They know and love him and his family. I think 99% of the time I’ve been here was with him or his family. It’s pretty much become our second home. The service here is always great. To be honest, that has a lot to do with why we frequent this location. I think the service is actually better than the food, so in the end it’s all balanced. I’ve had probably half of the items on the menu. My personal favorites are the burrito, the house benedict(with the avocado) and the shredded pork omelette. All the omelettes are tasty, but the shredded pork is the one that I order all the time. The hot chocolate is also a personal favorite. And I don’t know what it is about their coffee, but I always have 3 – 4 cups per visit. Stay classy my friend.

A glorified IHop(nothing wrong with that) that had super fast service and great food for the price. If you are my «Yelp Friend» from Denver(where I am from) it’s just like the Egg & I. For around $ 13 I had a California Omelette, hash browns, and coffee… and everything was really good! The omellete was a huge portion and had huge chunks of avocado and they loaded up the cheese. Mi gustaaaa! Also, the wait on a Sunday morning for 3 people was only about 10 minutes. Next time I’m in the area, I would definitely come back! Note: Don’t order the swedish pancakes. Everyone gets one for free. Not just one per table, one per person! Touché, Eggs N Things, Touché!

Not sure why people rave about the Swedish pancakes. They’re OK and you get a free one anyway as a teaser, but this pace gets my recommendation because they offer simple food at decent prices. This place stays busy on the weekends and you may find yourself having to wait a little while until people clear out. Not to worry. They seem to run a tight ship around here and you may be seated in no time at all. Really just depends. Overall, the service is friendly and fast. The food is cooked fresh to order and they are very consistent. Definitely a business with their regulars and solid food.

First thought: This smells amazing. Recommendation: hold off on the Swedish pancakes. Apparently everyone gets a complimentary one no matter what. First timer here and it was not shabby! My girlfriend and I were looking for a new spot in Camarillo and found this amongst the Unilocal pages. The ratings weren’t too great, but the pictures of food looked amazing so had to still give it a shot. The menu had an easy layout to read and it didn’t have million items on it to make it complicated. We both go the breakfast burritos. Hers was shredded beef and mine was shredded pork. It seemed to be an omelette wrapped in a tortilla honestly, but it was hefty, hearty, and cooked just right. The burritos came with a choice of hash browns, or roasted potatoes and side of sour cream and salsas(mild and spicy). Also, it’s not on the menu but you can actually substitute your hash browns for curly fries. My girlfriend swore the hash brown was amazing but i thought it was okay. Cooked well but seemed to have a bit too much oil for my taste. We all ordered the white macadamia nut and coconut French toast. Definitely an interesting combo but tasted pretty good. The macadamia nut was honestly a little overbearing since the put so much of it in there, but with a little less it would’ve been perfect. The fried coconut shavings on top were a nice touch. Overall a great experience. The waitresses took a little long to take our orders and the food took a bit long, but I’ll definitely be back to try more things on the menu.

Breakfast in Camarillo with the posse before hitting the Outlets means Eggs N Things… Always a wait on weekends food is fresh, good, dependable and service is accommodating. Every patron is greeted with a complimentary crêpe topped with a fruit compote as a bit of teaser and welcome to Eggs N Things… French Toast loaded with fresh fruit with whipped butter and Maple syrup is a standbye… Banana Walnut Pancakes are light and fluffy perfectly browned and also served with Whipped butter and Maple syrup also good. The California Omelet with crispy Bacon and hash browns extra crispy was also prepared as ordered served with a bagel and cream cheese. Not to mention the side of homemade salsa. Which was really zesty and kicked it up a notch. The food is good not great nothing overly creative or exhilarating but a very good, dependable restaurant serving traditional breakfast done right. The kitchen cranks out a lot of food in a timely fashion as the restaurant is always busy. The restaurant is old school, the interior is old school most of the staff is old school. Enjoy good old fashion breakfast done right…

Very nice little mom and pop stop a lite north of LA. We were seated in less than 5 min! It was very nice to see that as soon as a table got up, the bussers were on top of their game to get the tables cleaned for the next group. Our waitress was very nice and relaxed. Not rushing any orders or running around like crazy. The place was def packed tho so she knew what she was doing. She even brought us complimentary Swedish Pancakes which were like little crepes with raspberry on top. Yummers! We barely finished those before our meals came out. Quick service! I ordered the breakfast croissant and it was delicious! The croissant was toasted a tiny bit. Enough to have a crunch but still keep its fluffiness. Avocado, tomatoes, eggs, and your choice of Bacon or ham, and ugh! So perfectly good. I was actually stuffed pretty quickly so I couldn’t finish it. Very clean, very fast service, very delicious.
