I’ve recently moved back to Camarillo 3 years ago after traveling for 10 years. I would see the taco truck and its lights from the 101 and driving down Arneil Rd. I never thought much of trying the place because it looked sketchy… However, when one my buddies invited me to come along and get some tacos one evening, I didn’t think that we would come here. Hesitant at first…“yolo”…boy was I proven wrong! I really enjoyed my first experience there. This spot is my go to when I come back late in the evening after a long drive from Los Angeles or Santa Barbara. Most of the time I order tacos, but they also make quesadillas, burritos, and mulitas(which I like to order from time to time… it depends on what I’m feeling) My personal favorites are: tripas de doradita(crispy), cabeza, and carnitas with every thing. However, you can request your plate without the chili(that sucker burns) so you won’t waste food. I really like this place because I don’t have to drive far.

I drive out to Camarillo just so I can have their tacos. I hope they open an actual restaurant. Their burritos are good as well but the Asada tacos are my favorite.

Authentic Mexican Food, breakfast/lunch/dinner you can’t go wrong! It’s the bomb and a hidden gem, one of my favorite weekly go to spots! Worth the wait… Sometimes lunch is slammed but worth it.

Sometimes it is just stupid how good a taco truck can be, this is no truck though, It’s a trailer, and it is pure Mexican street food bliss!

If your in Camarillo and want tacos, this is THE place to go. Pastor, Asada, Chicken… They’re all excellent! Best part is, there open later than anything else in town!

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for the last year or so, and it’s hands down one of the best places to get tacos EVER. Their green salsa is delicious. Meats are cooked/marinated perfectly(I’ve tried the chicken, al pastor, asada, tripas, chorizo and never been disappointed). The workers are very nice. Me recuerdan a los tacos en Mexico, sin tener que ir tan lejos!

I was surprised how cheap this place is and it’s actually descent. Definitely worth going if your local and want Mexican food after 10pm when most places are closed. They have a limited menu but it’s all the basics… burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. I’ve had a better bean, cheese, and rice burrito but the carne asada taco was actually better than a lot of places. They also take credit card and sell bottle sodas. I loved the shirts the guys were wearing. next time I’ll have to get a picture.

I had an asada taco and an asada burrito. The taco was one of the best if not the best I’ve had. The burrito was great too. They have pastor, chorizo and cabeza available also. I will definitely be going back! The prices were reasonable.

I was in Camarillo already late at night, 10 pm, looking for a nice place to grab a bite to eat. Preferably not fast food. This place fit the bill for that perfectly. There was also a good amount of people there for the time of night. Its a food trailer pulled by a truck parked on the side of the road. It’s quite close to the freeway. I ordered a chicken burrito with everything except sour cream and they made it and served it up pretty quickly. I had it a little while later and I was not impressed. The chicken burrito was not very good. The rice did not taste finished. This can easily ruin even the best burritos. The green chili salsa was very good though. It had a nice heat to it. The menu is pretty simple just printed onto the window of the different entrees available with the meat options.

Authentic Mexican tacos! Glad to have a food truck in Camarillo that is open late. They offer a variation of meats & are priced reasonably. The asada & pastor are my favorites. I like the grilled onions & sliced cucumbers they put on the side.

Bomb meat! I am so happy we have a food truck in Camarillo now. They are open late and they ascent cards(.50 charge). They have burritos, tacos, quesadillas and mulas. Their asada is the best! The salsa is super spicy. We started ordering with salsa on the side because it really is spicy. They food truck is nice and clean. Fast and friendly service. This will definitely be my go to place for late night munchies.

Seemed sketchy at first because there aren’t typically any late night taco trucks in Cam but this truck is great. Nice people and bomb tacos. Get the tripas. A late go-to.

That fancy dinner that almost broke the pocket book not fill you up? Stop by this taco food truck. It’s ok don’t be scared only the freaks come out at night! Tacos $ 1.50 each Burrito $ 6 Quesidilla $ 6 Your choice of carne asada, al pastor, chicken, chorizo and tripas. Your order is taken at the front of the truck. Pick up at the back of the truck. Food is prepared pretty quick. I always take my tacos home and my tacos are never soggy! The grilled jalapeño served with the meal I love. I take a bite with each bite of my food. Spicy! The cool and refreshing cucumber slices are great when you have had too much of the green salsa. Hours: Sun-7p-11p Tues-Thurs 7p-11p Fri-Sat 7p-1a

This taco truck has been around for quite some time now. Their tacos are comparable to your typical mexican taco truck. However, the tripas are pretty amazing. This truck has great tacos at a reasonable price. I have yet to see adequate competition enter the city of camarillo, and these guys are banking off of it. That being said, this truck can still up its game. It’s very similar to what you’d expect from every taco truck. The workers are very nice, the portions are average. The flavors of the tacos are generally good, but everything does use pretty heavy oils. The quesadillas are where you get the best bang for your buck IMHO. However, if you’re not too hungry, the tacos are a great choice as well.

Pros: Only late night«traditional» taco truck in Camarillo city limits(I believe) Accepts Credit Cards Decent Tacos Cons: $ 1.50 per taco(this is highway robbery in L.A. proper) Some of the meats disappointed I finally gave this place a shot and overall, it’s good, but unfortunately, I’ve had better. Tripa — nicely crunchy, not rubbery at all. A+ Pastor — not on the spit that night and had no smoked or pineapple taste. Just tasted like marinated pork Asada — decently marinated, but a bit on the dry side Tacos came with a couple of peppers(which were good), but there’s no condiment bar nor was I offered any. Overall, a decent spot if I have late night cravings, but nothing that blows me out of the water

I’m going to leave this as a 4* review until I try their burritos. What I like about them is their simplicity. Simple menu and good quantities of good food. I had four tacos. Pollo, carne asada, al pastor and chorizo. The meat was a little dry and I honestly couldn’t tell them a part. The hot sauce it comes with is good and very hot. From what I can tell everything they serve is very effective and very reasonably priced. I will certainly go back and probably try both a quesadilla and a burrito.

Great tacos, with lots of toppings. Not too greasy. Check out their chorizo, it’s extremely tasty and full. Their other meats are solid but the chorizo always gets a great reaction. They’ve got Mexican coke and this delicious apple soda too. Every time I’ve gone there I’ve been short-changed by a taco or two on orders of 12 – 15 tacos, so count your tacos. I’m rating five stars despite that because I expect that when I bring up the missing tacos next time they’ll make up for it, and my family has been fed full despite that.

Brilliant, affordable Mexican fare. I was able to stop and check this place out from the glorious recommendation from a friend. So glad I did! If you go, be prepared to encounter a line, seeing that everyone who knows about good Mexican in Ventura county comes here regularly. The line moves swiftly, and the order is completed pretty quickly. The al pastor tacos were on point! The meat is succulent, the tortillas well prepared and served with the right type and amount of compliments. For affordable, authentic Mexican street tacos, look no further than El Caporal. Keep in mind that this food truck only shows up on certain days.
