Air show lunch. One of the best wedge salads, with raisins! Friend had Tri-tip sandwich, excellent and so big took half home. Great place watch. 30 minute wait but watched show from front lawn!

A small price to pay for a day of family fun. This year we were surprised to see RedBull stunts. The pilots put on a great show. It was a time of pure enjoyment. We, as a family, treasure these moments. Thankful to all the hours that go into pulling something together like this. They have a user friendly website that tells all on prices, food, etc. Remember, bring cash! They do have ATMs on site however you will get charged for taking cash out.

It was a childhood dream come to life seeing so many vintage WWll aircraft up close and personal at the annual 2 day air show, «Wings Over Camarillo.» There is something majestic about these former terrors of the sky in their current state as relics of history, flown as a tribute and with honor for those who have served and those currently serving. Adults and children alike are drawn to these colorful, touchable and in some cases participatory aircraft. Getting to watch the warbirds fly later in the day was a real treat too but it involved a bunch of neck straining. This B-25 is available for short flight charter, 20 mins, 5 people at $ 400 each, how cool is that ! ? This DC-3 a former United Airlines fleet plane was on display. Can you imagine flying commercially in something like this back in the day? In the interest of safety nothing too crazy is happening in the skies above with the former Warbirds. Top tip is to make sure and bring your own folding chair as people line the edge of the runway(about 100 yards away) with their gear. It’s not all vintage aircraft and the Red Bull parachute team launched from the specially built RedBull helicopter is a sight to see. Vicky Benzing, A brilliant lady pilot did some incredible stunt flying in her«hotrod» of a an aerobatic plane. Aerobatic, Flying & Static Displays Vintage, Experimental, Military Family Fun and even a small Classic Cars section too. Gates open at 9 and the show starts at 12 or there about and runs until 4pm. If you buy your tickets online early they offer a 33% discount(10 bucks vs 15) so that is the way to go for sure. A sight for the eyes and ears and family friendly too. Lot’s of food stands and even a sit down restaurant are on site to handle the nom nom situation. This is a nice regional and community based air show, part living history, part Sunday Funday adventure but a great day no matter how you slice it.

15 per person seems a little steep for an air show. Then, you add it up. Kids under 12 are free. It’s 8 hours of entertainment. About 50 planes to walk by or into(old and new), old military vehicles, classic cars, kids area, food booths, beer garden, and souvenir booths. Set our chairs up early at 9:30, planes didn’t start flying until 12:30. No need to get there early, plenty of good seats to look up. Worth a try as a family or if you’re just looking for something else to do on the weekend.
