Mediocre at best. The water tastes terrible, the food is dry. Hostess is curled up in the corner on her cell phone.

I’ve been here 3 times and it’s great. I don’t know why some ppl give it low reviews, it’s clean, quiet, never messy or super crowded, all u can eat, it’s pretty cool, u go in there put what u want in a plate and then the cook, heats up up for you, in front of you .the server personals are pretty attentive, this place would be a good spot to take a 1st time date.

Been going here since I moved to Camarillo in 2012. Never been disappointed… Great food, drink(s), and great service.

What can I say about this place? It’s your basic no frills Mongolian BBQ. Clean, adequate parking, decent customer service. I’ve noticed that since my last visit, the rice and naam that come with the meal have decreased in size by about half. Oh, well, they’ll always bring more. I’ve been coming here for years and I will continue to. It’s a family favorite, just no bells or whistles about it. AYCE for dinner, but come for the lunch prices, pack your bowl and take the leftovers home for later! Order some of that elusive Naam to go and make«Mongolian Sammies.» For that Sons of Anarchy marathon.

Tried this place since it was across from the hotel. Hot humid day outside almost 90° out. This place has no air conditioning and no fans to help cool the place especially since there is a giant hot plate/griddle the size of a table for stir frying your food. Just makes it that much more miserable and hot. Floor mats were ripped up, dirty windows/screens and the ceiling/vents above the cooking area was filthy. We put that all aside and decided to at least give the food a try. It was delicious! …and then later that evening we got food poisoning with the runs and vomiting. Ugh!

Was in town for weekend and went to this place since it was across the street from hotel. Mongolian BBQ can’t go wrong right??? Wrong, service was terrible, food well what food, most if the meat bins were empty we had to ask for them to be filled up, the egg drop soup smelled funny and was luke warm and the tea tasted stale. Staff was up front talking and appeared to be more interested in doing that. It was really warm inside and Flys were present. $ 30 dollars later and I’m disappointed without a doubt and will not go back.

The service was badge waitress have to come a couple times for soda pop… my sushi wasn’t build right it was falling apart and I taste liked it had been cooked for a while so 2 stars for sushi. Now, the Mongolian bbq you build your own place so it’s ok…

Nothing fancy… Pretty basic in terms of décor and food. I’m not sure what makes it «Mongolian» besides the fact that it’s cooked on top of a huge circular flat top… but its fun to watch them cook it. If you’ve never been, the concept is simple. It’s All You Can Eat. Fill up bowls with noodles, thinly sliced meat, canned baby corn, cilantro, green onions, yellow onions, mushrooms, spinach… whatever you want from the buffet line. There’s a good selection of ingredients to choose from, but nothing gourmet by any means. Including sauces(garlic, bbq, …). Pile it high! Perfecting your technique is part of the fun! :) They also have a sushi menu, but that’s not usually the highlight. Comes with rice and a bread pocket thing that you can stuff the meat in if you want. Soup is available. Located in Old Town Camarillo. Street parking.

Food is ok. The selection is typical for a Mongolian place but big chunks and looks all trashy. Can tell that no one walks around to clean it up. Other food types mixed in with each other. They don’t clean the grill. We stood around for at least 5 minutes before someone even came over to start cooking. Waitress definitely not enthused about helping — in any way! Lacking customer service. No smiles whatsoever.

This place is great! I had never tried Mongolian BBQ before. I tend to shy away from experimenting with new food(I’m an annoyingly picky eater). My friend talked me into giving it a shot and I loved it! It’s very difficult to complain about food that you create yourself! You pick the meat, sauce, veggies and toppings that you want, then you bring it to the cooks and VOILA!!! Yum city! I chose the chicken with spicy and BBQ sauces, added broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts and peanuts. Perfect for me. I loved every bite! It filled me up perfectly and I was still full hours later. I only took off one star for the décor. It’s not the prettiest place in town, but that’s a tiny deduction. When I’m back in Camarillo I will be dropping by again. Thanks guys!

I don’t know what it is about this place, but I have yet to find a Mongolian BBQ place where the food turns out so good. We have driven from the SFV to Camarillo just to eat here. The only bad thing is that it seems like the soap doesnt get washed all the way off from their glasses. You can taste it if you order water or soda. Doesnt matter though because the food is delish! Just make sure you use lots of sauce otherwise they will cook your food with water to keep it from going dry.

This place is so amazing! For dinner, it’s all you can eat but no to go boxes but I’ve never been past one plate. I usually come for lunch which is just I think one time around and you can get a to go box. The cooks and servers are always really nice and the place is always clean.

Love this place. First off, be aware the inside could use a makeover. I“m sure it looked great in the early 90’s, but the booth’s are tore up and it just kind of has this not quite clean feeling… so basically, the opposite feeling of chewing on Orbit gum. Now that we got that out of the way, the food is great. Not too many places around that you can get this much food for just $ 8. I recommend the«strong» option of sauces, the medium and light left the noodles just a bit too dry for my taste. I add extra garlic… and there goes my mouth watering again. On top of the large mountain of noodles/meat/veggies, they also give you wontons and bread. Word of warning: Do not schedule an intense meeting that requires large amounts of brain power and focus after this meal because you will be struck by «food coma». Conclusion: Probably not the best place to wow your date… but great place to go with the lads to get your grub on.

Decent tasting food, with plenty of selection. Waitresses not to enthusiastic about helping or checking if you need anything, we had to go find them. The one thing I would like to point out is the cooking area is very greasy dirty, before it was always clean and not all greasy, especially the cooking hood above cooking area and hallway ceiling above, going to restrooms, obviously change of management.

I like the freedom to build my own masterpiece. Always fresh healthy veggies and a wide selection. Protein choices of thinly slivered frozen chicken, pork, lamb and even artificial crab. Sauce choices are good and one can use as much or as little per your choice. The grill master puts your art work bowl on big hot grill and delivers it back to you with a steaming mound of rice, a hot pocket bread and a screaming bowl of tasty egg flower soup. Service can be a bit slow, ambience is somewhat lacking but you can’t beat the price and freshness. I am a fan.

I like this place. It doesn’t have the best service as it seems the staff is always a little stretched. But, the ingredients are always fresh & you can choose what you want cooked together, so it’s up to you too make good choices. I usually go heavy on the meat & vegetables & skip the carbs. A good choice of sauces too. The cooks do a good job, even when busy. There’s also a sushi bar but I’ve not tried that.

There are many reasons why I give this restaurant 4 Stars. First, the location is very convenient. It is right off the 101 fwy, and the nestled in the cute charming downtown area of Camarillo. An area that after eating, you are able to take a stroll and check out the different boutiques. Second, the customer service is very genuine and attentive. As stated in previous posts, customer service for my dollar can either make or break my experience. The waitresses check in with you, and make sure everything is okay, without being over bearing. Next, the food is just simply delicious. The BF and I opted for the Mongolian buffet– the concept is plain and simple. They have a buffet style area that has the different types of raw frozen meat: chicken, beef, pork, it was nice to see seafood– that was a first. Then they have different toppings you can add: noodles, and an endless array of fresh veggies. The coolest part is there sauce part of the buffet– they have different flavors you can add to your entrée which enables you to have that individual flavor. The cooks then cook your food on a huge round skillet in the middle of the restaurant… It’s fun to watch your food get cooked before you. Lastly, I will be back because price is very reasonable: lunch $ 8/person dinner: $ 12/person unlimited buffet

This Wok ‘N South location beats the others! Their selection of ingredients outnumbers the other locations for sure; That is why this place is tops on my list! I love the egg drop soup for starters. Then, I custom make my meal, using beef, chicken, LOTS of broccoli, onions, sprouts, cilantro, …oh my mouth is watering as I type! The bread here is also delish; it’s a flat pita-type bread that the kids split open and stuff with their Mongolian BBQ to eat like a burrito!
