Kays Busy Maids

We are having the same experience MANY others are having. No response & we bought our Living Social voucher back in November 2012. We have called several dozen times & left several dozen messages way before «the voucher was to expire», that is not an excuse to blame it on «to busy to even answer a phone call». Living Social is not being any better help. This is a horrible way to run a business! If I could give them a zero or no stars, I would! Now Living Social is telling us we are to late to redeem the voucher… What?! Are you serious? We have tried to contact this company so many times in the last 7 months it is on our speed dial to try and get this resolved & there has never been a call back or anything.

Terrible! I purchased the LIving Social and have been trying to schedule my house cleaning since December. I have left countless voice mail message with no response. I just reported them to Living Social so I can get my money back. Awful customer service and terrible way to run a company. DO NOT USE KAY’S BUSY MAIDS!

Avoid at all costs. Like many others, I bought a Living Social voucher. They were a no-​show two days in a row. LS was kind enough to refund the price I paid. I wish I had done a review search before buying to save myself a headache!

As indicated in the previous reviews, the owner of this business is not the best at communication, but I was really impressed with the quality of work the cleaner was able to do in just two hours.
When I called to schedule an appointment, the woman I spoke with offered me one for the next day but then told me she would get back to me with the time. I gave her a range of times that were good for me along with my address and never heard back. I assumed it was a no-​go until a cleaner showed up at my house that afternoon. Luckily, I was home! The cleaner was friendly and professional and did a great job.
If you can handle a little vagueness regarding scheduling and communication, at least the end product is good.

Like many others, I bought a Living Social deal and have had no success in scheduling an appointment. I’ve contacted Living Social and Kay’s Busy Maid multiple times with no success. I’ll be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contacting my credit card company in the near future.

Still at zero stars. My update is that despite Living Social denying me my refund, American Express had to step in and they resolved the dispute in my favor. Not surprising Living Social is laying off tons of people with their customer service policies.

Too bad I have to put one star. I would give them a Negative five stars if I could. We were given a gift certificate for three hours of cleaning. I followed the directions on the certificate and called to redeem it. Left a voice mail … no reply … Called again… left a voicemail … no reply… I was hoping to get the house cleaned before my major surgery I was having. … but never got a reply back. Had the surgery called several times to redeem the certificate… NO REPLY AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!
Had my husband call and he let them know we would be contacting our attorney and they called back within 3 hours only to hang up on him after he answered the phone. He called them back and between the time they called and hung up and my husband calling them back they TEXTED him! He was able to speak someone that LIED to him stating my messages were getting cut off and they were not able to return the phone call. I am sorry but if you can hear your voicemail there is an option in the menu to call the person back without knowing their number. IF you were able to text my husband back without speaking with him you should have been able to look at your caller ID and CALL me back before this situation got to this level.
Long story short WE WOULD NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY TO STEP FOOT INTO OUR HOUSE!
IF you lie to me before you have even gained my trust … YOU WILL NEVER GAIN MY TRUST OR MY BUSINESS! You just lost yourselves a potential long term customer!

Dealing with this company is a TOTAL NIGHTMARE. I purchased a living social deal for the Portland Metro Area. I called three times and never got a call back. When my call finally was returned, I was called the b-​word and told to get a refund from Living Social.

I bought a Living Social deal and upon calling «Kays Busy Maids», leaving a message and receiving a call back, I was instructed to ask for a refund from Living Social and then go through them to get the same price. Shady way to skirt the system, but hey, I’m all for helping the little guy. So I scheduled a cleaning service over the phone, for one day to see how it goes and then maybe I’ll subscribe to periodic service. The only availability they said was the next day, I thought perfect, the sooner the better. I specified directions of where to clean over the phone but «Kerry» said it’d be better to write it on a note, so, do maids and phone operator not communicate? The next day comes, expecting to come home to a nice clean place… nothing was cleaned, Kays Maids was a No Show! I called them to ask what happened, no answer, no returned phone call…
What kind of business are they trying to run over there?
