We ate dinner at Linn’s while staying in Cambria. We came for the ollieberry pie. I had tomato bisque and the caprese salad both were good. My husband had a burger and my daughter had chicken pot pie. The food was average. The service was very good. We took a small pie to go and enjoyed it in our hotel room with a glass of wine. The pie was good. Overall the restaurant is solid, clean and inviting, the food is average. There are very few options in Cambria and this is good place to go.

Having followed some fellow Unilocalers to the spot with the good pie I can say«Bravo!» The Olallieberry Pie a la mode was absolutely delicious and would not hesitate to come back. My children shared a dutch chocolate milkshake with rave reviews. My daughter gave it a thumbs up and my son being the goofball that he is said it was paradise in his mouth. Please if you are ever in the area stop by for at least dessert. Next time I’ll try lunch and save room for pie!

Great for breakfast. All the pastries are delisch. Linn’s Bin was great and unique — a pile of breakfast goodness. Not too heavy. Breakfast burrito was perfectly balanced. Pretty inexpensive and great atmosphere.

My husband and I just had dinner here and the food was delicious! I had the Ranch Rib Eye and it was tasted heavenly and was cooked to perfection! My husband enjoyed the Beef Tip Stroganoff and couldn’t have been more delighted. We really enjoyed the garlic bread with Jam, I can’t wait to pick some up tomorrow! Linn’s is definitley a restaurant we will continue to visit each time we come to Cambria… I can’t wait to try the desserts we got to go! The service was quick and friendly, we definitley felt at home!

Like many of the other reviewers have said, this is a pretty cute place in middle of Cambria. We decided to give this place a try during our one night stay here. We were seated immediately, and this place was pretty crowded for a Tuesday night(I’m guessing many locals frequent here). Our waitress was very nice and helpful, and throughout the course of our meal she checked up on us several times to get us more water/bread. We ordered the chicken pot pie and the meatloaf. This place was a little on the pricey side for $$. The average entrée is around $ 22 dollars, with some entrees(e.g. burger) going for $ 15 and others(e.g. prime rib) for $ 35. However, fear not, they are pretty generous with the serving size so you won’t have to worry about leaving hungry. The meatloaf was phenomenal, I only wish they had given me more gravy because it was so tasty. The chicken pot pie was also pretty good(only tried one bite) with moist filings and flaky crust. We were too full to order dessert afterwards, but the lemon meringue pie looked pretty good. All in all, solid meal and atmosphere for the price, definitely recommend if you are stopping by Cambria.

We stayed overnight in Cambria on our way to Hearst Castle, and for our one and only dinner in town, we decided to try Linn’s Restaurant. It looked like one of the nicer places in town, and it was pretty good aside from some odd quirks in the service. We showed up on a Friday night at around 8 pm without reservations, and although the restaurant is large, this seemed to present a difficulty. At first, the hostess looked like she was going to turn us away, but then she found a small table to squeeze us into, telling us that we were the last group she could accommodate for the night. Except that there were tables that cleared out and weren’t reseated, and tables that were empty and stayed empty, around us during the whole meal. This was in mid-December during the Cambria Xmas Market, so maybe that was part of the busy-ness? Anyway, don’t expect that you can necessarily just walk in without reservations on a weekend night, I guess. The dinner menu is classic American comfort food, the type of thing you’d get at a Marie Callender’s. Oddly, their website seems focused on the mail-order bakery and food gifts, so I don’t think you can see a menu online, but they have steaks, sandwiches and salads, cottage pies and other hearty fare. I couldn’t resist the beef stroganoff, because you hardly ever see it at restaurants. It was served over your choice of noodles or rice(noodles, obviously), and had a flavorful wine sauce, but too many mushrooms and WAY too many noodles — I left at least half. My dining companion had the meatloaf, which was topped with crunchy fried onions and served with mashed potatoes and veggies. He really liked the glaze on the meatloaf(it’s not just ketchup!) and the portion seemed pretty substantial. We shared an olallieberry cheesecake for dessert, which was tasty, if not mind-blowing(olallieberries are tart and taste similar to raspberries). Due to the drought, they only served water upon request, which seemed pretty standard throughout our trip. But they brought us water in cheesy little plastic cups, like disposable Dixie cups. Not all the tables had them, and we did order wine that came in a wine glass, so I don’t *think* it was a standard policy. Maybe they were really busy, ran out of real glasses, and had to use these while the dishwasher finished a cycle? But they never offered an explanation or replaced them, and it felt oddly tacky and didn’t fit with the rest of their atmosphere. After bringing the dessert, our server realized that the kitchen hadn’t plated it properly and hurried back over to bring us an extra cup of olallieberry preserves. There were a handful of odd slip-ups and awkward interactions that made it feel like they were trying to be «fancy» but hadn’t quite figured out how. But the place has been around for a while, so… I don’t get it. If you’d rather take dessert to go or just want a sweet snack, there’s also a bakery and gift shop off to one side of the restaurant. Along with slices of their pies and cakes and other sweets, they sell Linn’s preserves, packaged foods, decorations and other gift items. It’s mostly open when the restaurant is, but seems to close earlier. Overall, an okay place serving good American comfort food, but the service was a bit… off and made our visit less enjoyable than it could have been. 3.5 stars.

I’m not sure what to say other than absolutely, positively fantastic!!! I had an omelette with an Olallieberry Cream Muffins. Oh my. The omelette was perfection. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. It was all really well-seasoned and absolutely delectable. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The muffin I had warmed and it was delicious. I don’t think I needed the cream part, but the muffin itself and the olallieberry were incredible. I also appreciated that the muffin was not so large. On top of the absolutely fantastic food, the service was amazing. Our waiter was helpful and attentive and happy to keep our drinks topped off. He even offered to help us take some to go as we completed our meal. I am not in Cambria often, but this will be my go-to place in the future.

Great restaurant in a cute little town. Stopped here before going to Hearst Castle and waited 30 minutes for a table on a Saturday lunch. I ordered the turkey melt with a side of sweet potato fries($ 2 extra). I thought it was good and glad I upgraded to the sweet potato fries. For dessert, we had the Olalliberry pie warmed up with a side of vanilla ice cream. It was delicious and the ice cream nicely balanced out the pie. Overall this place has great service and is a little more upscale(pricing wise) than your typical café. Entrees are typically about $ 12 – 15 each for lunch and dinner is a bit more.

Super cute little place we stopped by after visiting Hearst Castle! Luckily we were able to get a table right away, but about 15 minutes later, the place was packed! 3 girls with very healthy appetites split the Chicken Pot Pie, Hearst Ranch Burger, and the Calamari. We were STUFFED and all very, very happy! No more hangry ladies! We also loved the seasoning on the french fries! Pot Pie: crust was heavenly! The rest of the pie was amazing as well and was even better when I dipped fries in it! Chicken was super tender and delicious! Burger: OMG so delicious. I could have eaten the entire burger :) The patty was juicy beyond belief and insanely flavorful! Calamari: Also super delicious! Not even one overcooked chewy piece! They were perfect every single bite! And to end our lunch, we had to try the olallieberry pie! We got it warm, but I think it would have been much better cold. Crust again was amazinggg and the berry had a really interesting, but good, flavor!

We came to have dessert while visiting Cambria. Apparently they’re known for cheesecake brownie which tasted pretty okay. Their iced white mocha tasted great, not too bitter or sweet. My friend ordered the ollalieberry pie with ice cream and it tasted great! Anyways the reason why I’m giving them 5 stars is because I lost my Ray Bans while sitting outside and one of their employees found it and returned it to me. I really appreciate the integrity at this place! Thank you so much!

We stopped by Cambria on the way to San Simeon. What a charming little town! I visited my dentist a few days before our road trip and he recommended I stop at the«place with the best muffins» but he didn’t recall the name of the restaurant or bakery. After a quick search on Unilocal and drive/stroll around Cambria, I found Linn’s. Yep! They have amazing muffins!!! We ordered brunch food on a Sunday morning. I got the special stack breakfast that was basically two potato cakes(much like hash browns) stacked with cheese, spinach, onions, etc. and topped with eggs of your choice(over medium for me). This was soooo good but heavy. It was just what I needed to fuel my full day on the coast. Almost every breakfast comes with the choice of a muffin, scone or something else(can’t remember what) from their bakery. Now about the muffins… they are just so fresh and delicious! I tasted the olalliberry, blueberry and pumpkin muffins. The ones that come with your meal are the smaller ones you might back at home. The ones sold in their separate bakery section are HUGE and they’re $ 3 each. So worth it. The olalliberry sauce on top of the olalliberry muffin was perfectly tart. It tastes like a cross between a raspberry and blackberry. The blueberry had just the right amount of sweetness and the pumpkin had the spice warm of the holidays. Gah! I want one now… Others at the table got omelettes or «the basic» breakfast. The bacon strips on their plates were generous, thick and crisp. They give you fresh fruit that lightens everything on the plate. They’re famous for their olalliberry products. They even make a milkshake with it! As for service, there were LOTS of bus boys and girls but few servers. It was strange and took a while to place our order and to get the check. Nonetheless, everyone was friendly and the vibe of this casual establishment kind of makes you feel right at home.
