A unique place with some really beautiful pieces! They had a lot of stuff I hadn’t seen before. Staff was really friendly and engaging. Prices were really pretty agreeable. Picked up a neato torpedo teleidescope!

I like to act shifty and suspicious when I go in this store. If they’re going to keep watching me like I’m going to steal something, I might as well have fun with it. Hide my hands behind my back and kind of scoot oddly between displays. Also, when they finally make eye contact, look away really quickly. Pick up some little knick-knack and then look around like I’m checking to see if I’m being watched. Yes, being watched. Put the knick-knack down and smile. Makes the lemon-faced woman crazy. Don’t shop here. They’re terrible people.

One of the coolest shops I’ve ever been to and was in there for about 45 minutes. I found things here that I’ve never seen and pretty much wanted to buy everything. I highly recommend checking out all the shops on this stretch of road after you check out Hearst Castle(that’s what I did). If I could give six stars I would!

I was with a friend who was smoking on the street and away from the store, while I was in the store looking for his birthday gift. I left the store and told my friend a gift was found and he said not to buy anything from the store. While I was shopping, a tall man working for the store came outside to where my friend was standing(far away from the store) and demanded he stop smoking! I was in the store and did not smell any smoke. I will NEVER visit this shop again and they lost a sale of a $ 300 item.

Honestly this place has some really great stuff… BUT…I have a few downsides. Most of the things they sell are really really pricey. When my mom and I waited in line to purchase a $ 15 pair of earrings and a $ 22 wooden box that is about 3″ long we were told to move out of the way so that a man could make a $ 400 purchase. It was incredibly rude behavior. My mom lives in Tennessee and I always brag to her about how the people and businesses in the Central Coast are amazing and I was so embarrassed that I brought her to this store. Needless to say we did not purchase anything from this store. I did however go back in and get the name of the items we wanted to purchase and then went online and purchased them. I love to support my local businesses but this place can find a spot in the hottest place in hell for their horrible service.

Really a neat shop full of different types of hand made good. We bought a steel welded piece to rust in our garden and they have some really cool watches. Wooden watches and these steam punk style watches. Definitely worth a stop by and some great gift ideas. The owners are really nice and helpful. They have a wide variety of stuff but many authentic craft items made here in the USA.

Definitely a place you just visit in Cambria. They have beautiful local art and creations that are great for the home. The salesperson was wonderful and we found some incredibly unique things in the store. We left with something I truly believe we wouldn’t find elsewhere. I’ve gone here since I was a kid, so make sure you check it out!

My husband always indulgence me a stop in Moonstones when we’re up in Cambria. So many lovely things here — jewelry, woodwork, pottery, lawn decorations, kitchy art, artsy clothing. It’s a great place to buy gifts made in the USA(be sure to check) to take to friends in China. This way your friends in China don’t laugh at your for bringing them a gift made in China bought in America! It’s also a great place to buy gifts for other friends. They have an extensive Holly Yashi jewelry collection and other designer jewelry.

This shop is very charming and offers a wide range of items. Many items are small, different and detailed so it took me a while to look at everything they had to offer. While I was browsing, I felt as if I was being watched really closely by the clerk. It made me uncomfortable. I really wanted to love this little shop but I don’t appreciate being watched as if I’m going to steal something. I would still check out the store but be warned you might be watched closely during your visit.

I visit Cambria often and always check out Moonstones. But this was the first time I visited where I felt that the sales person was watchiing me as if I might steal something. They have so many unusual things there and you have to spend some time looking just to be able to see everything. This time the sales person followed me around from a distance and looked at me as if I was going to shoplift. I thought it was terribly rude of her. I wondered if this woman treated everyone like this when they visited the store. When I eventually chose something to buy, she handled the payment but never said a word to me. This woman was older, had blonde or silverish hair, and never smiled. The younger woman behind her who was wrappng up my package was very nice and conversed with me. I am seriously considering not buying anything from this store ever again. The customer service was horrible and they did not make me feel welcome. I only hope that someone is reading these reviews and does something about the service. It’s a nice store, just crummy service. I hope she wasn’t the owner!

Moonstones has a really great gift, art, and décor selection and is a great stop if you are looking for a nice little piece to take home. I saw a few things that I was very interested in, a wooden box for my husband and a mezuzah that I would have really liked to have. However, since we were not greeted or acknowledged by the saleswoman I decided it wasn’t worth my time and we left. I don’t feel like raising someone’s sales numbers or adding to their commission if they can’t even say hello, especially when I am standing at the case right in front of them.

Every time we go to Cambria, which is 3– 4 times a year, this store is always a must stop. They have unique items that are fairly priced that make beautiful gifts. Great trip there today… started my Christmas shopping! The Cambria Pines Lodge has a trail that empties you right out onto Burton Street … almost at their doorstep! Small hike to do some shopping! Minor drawback … the sales people are a little hit and miss with customer service.

this was litke going to a craft show but better. they had original, quality handcrafted things by true artists. It was a joy to look at the interesting knick knacks, jewlery, wall art and more and Mary was so nice to talk with

I liked browsing, but it wasn’t much of anything I’d want to own or display. With pets, it’s too expensive and an accident waiting to happen, anyway. Service was so/so… I didn’t really feel welcomed. I dig the sand art, though. Wish it weren’t so pricey or I would have probably snagged one of those!

With a plethora of Gift Shops in Cambria to entice you to spend your money or pick up that«signature» memento of your weekend or quick vacation in Cambria I can think of no other place that compliments the artisans style more so then Moonstones Craft Gallery. I’ve come to this location for many years. If you ever need to get a special unique gift that is beautiful or extremely personal jewelry that is one of kind look no further. For years they have carried Bill Campbell signature pottery. My ex-husband cousin had a full set of dishes, cups, vases etc. and I have always admired them. So when I needed to purchase wedding gifts or something that would make an impression on a Boss I would wait until I had my Cambria visit and stock up on gifts. Service is always personal and friendly and you can find anything at whatever price range you are looking for. Respectfully Reviewed

The store had some amazing pieces. It’s ashame the service was terrible. The lady behind the counter was incrediby rude. I think it might be the politics of the store. There were three people behind the counter; all of them were talking shit about a customer.

This store has been a ‘must visit’ place for me during our many previous trips to Cambria. After my last visit, not so much. The gentleman tending to the store was kind of an asshole. The store has amazing pieces. Clocks, knives… jewelry. But lately, I am bored with the same inventory. We’re in Cambria about 3 times a year… and I believe this may have been my last time in this store. Please don’t send me hate mail regarding this rating. This store is lucky that I am just taking 1 star away. And I will rip you a new asshole if you send me some disagreeing message. Deal with it.

I love this place. It’s another open until 10pm shop. They mostly focus on inlaid wood items that are sooo gorgeous. Everything from bookmarks, kaleidoscopes, watches, pens, knives, fountains, jewelry boxes, to clocks. I’ve bought several things over the years from here since they go from cheap to super high end. It’s a great place to get gifts. My wife and I both have inlaid wood bookmarks right now from this place. They also have local jewelry made from different materials such as local moonstones. Great place, I highly recommend.

This store has a fantastic selection. I always love wood crafts and things made from wood, so when I went in and saw what they had, I was quite happy. The first things that caught my eye were the kinetic sculptures on the wall(by David Roy, in case you’re interested). They’re wound up and stay moving for several hours, which was quite fascinating. Once I got over the excitement of that(and the realization that each of those pieces cost over $ 1000), I saw some wooden watches in a case. The lady that helped us was really nice and let me take my time in selecting one of the wooden watches. After I picked out one, she fitted it to me and put it all in a box. Fantastic service!

I’m weird about jewelry — what a lot of people would call gorgeous I’d call garish or gaudy, and I rarely find anything I even want to see close up. So I was surprised to come in here and almost immediately find three different pieces I really liked. I ended up buying one of the pieces(a pendant) even though I initially thought it might be silver and yet it turned out to be white gold, hence, uh, a wee bit more expensive. But hey, it was on sale! Yay, shiny souvenirs that appeal to my taste!
