Closed so very closed. Salsa Boston website isn’t fully updated yet but the place didn’t renew the lease. It’s under construction and the parking wasn’t free!

This is where I learned how to salsa dance. I would come here every Thursday one summer for the lessons and then the dancing. The music is good and the view from the dance floor of the Charles River is mesmerizing. It’s a nice location and a good place to salsa the night away.

Stopped by for Friday night salsa dancing and had a great time. I went dancing at 4 different parties in Boston and this was my favorite. It had a huge dance floor and the most experienced dancers(mostly on1 but a good amount of on2 dancers as well). There were also a lot of beginner dancers and non-dancers hanging around but they were all friendly and there was enough space to dance, despite all the«onlookers» :)

Salsa danced last week at Club Caribe, for the 1st time since moving form California. My friend & I attended the lessons, ANDTHEYWEREAMAZING!!! The teacher, ROCKEDIT… she was precise, thorough & salsa was her Jam. She catered to the entire group of 30 and did it with great instruction, enthusiasm, patience, and kindness. Once on the dance floor we all rocked it because of her. They class is great, the club is cool, great place to start, kind people, free parking. Thanks guys :) Lisa xox

Maybe it’s because I’m not a huge salsa dancer and need a couple drinks in me to be willing to get up and try it. Once I did though I regretted sitting for so long. The people seem friendly. It seems to be a lot of regulars. Went last night for the first time and the ages seemed to vary from 21 – 60 something! But mostly people in their 20s-30s, maybe 40s. As time goes by you get better dancers, so don’t get discouraged if you’re there early and don’t see what you like. Drinks: $ 8 shots(didn’t do any, but asked how much they were ha), beers around $ 5, and I got a long island for around $ 9 which I guess I didn’t mind… The cover isn’t that big of a deal, $ 10 regular or two for the price of one if you get there before 9:30pm(not sure if you have to rsvp on the website though). I was hesitant because I’m not the best salsa dancer so when I go out I like to meet interesting people & amazing dancers that will lead me, but we got there early so the crowd didn’t look too awesome(just people taking lessons), but I had fun. They played some bachata too. Go with some people who like to dance and you’ll end up having a good time. You might just need some patience as the crowd builds.

Club Caribe is a latin salsa dance club, and a pretty good way to meet new people. The people there are«mostly» friendly. I have been going to Club Caribe since it started. It is a pretty decent place to go and dance. Most people there dance the linear style instead of cuban. And I would say the crowd most of the time 60/40,(good/beginner) I however, do not recommend it for a place to take lessons if you are serious about learning. The lessons are more designed for very beginners, and you probably won’t go very far if you just go to those lessons. If you want to get much better, you want to check out meta movement for linear style and boston rueda for the cuban style. As I have said, a lot of good dancers go there, so as the night goes on, you might feel a little our of place if 1. you are a male and 2. you are a complete beginner 3. you came alone Club Caribe is every Thursday night in in the Courtyard Marriott Hotel by the Charles River. It is a decent place, but let me also mention that Ryles is also open on Thursday night. Although I go to Caribe more often since i know more people there, Ryle is also not a bad choice. Especially if Ryles has a live band for the night. So hopefully, I see you guys there, if you come and see me, don’t hesitate to say hi and ask me to dance.
