When I was a freshman at MIT, I remember the first morning I woke up: I didn’t know anyone yet, and orientation started that day. I ended up wandering into Dunkin’ at the MIT Student Center, and I’ve been back sporadically since for donuts and breakfast. I must say that the donuts are very serviceable, and always moderately delicious(especially the chocolate ones), but they really can’t compare to Krispy Kreme donuts in London. Unfortunately, they ruined me for donuts from most other places. I had my usual this morning: ham, egg and cheese with hash browns, together with tea. $ 5.35 is similar to the standard price, and pretty decent considering the consistency of the ham bun I get every time. The small hash brown pieces aren’t close to the quality of McDonald’s hash brown, but they do the job in the morning. The service is okay — I mostly get my food within a couple of minutes — but I have never liked the coffee guy who shouts out the type of the drink he has in his hand, expecting the right person to hear him and come pick out the drink. I mean, don’t judge me if I get there 5 seconds late! The seating area is comfortable and clean enough to work for an hour or two, and the outdoor area is really nice in the spring and autumn. I just have to warn you against having any of the expensive and terrible pizza available at the adjacent counter! I would recommend this Dunkin’ to you only if it’s convenient and you need breakfast and/or donuts in a hurry. This situation tends to happen to me quite a lot!

This is for the pizza place connected with the Dunkin Donuts; I think they are operated by the same people since you are sometime served at the pizza place by people in Dunkin Donuts outfits. The pizza is overpriced but decent. Service is not good. They gave me the run around for some tap water. They don’t have tap water but will sell you a cup for $ 0.25. I’m not sure why bother selling me the cup if you don’t have tap water. Unless of course you are lying, liar.
