This park * pleasantly exhales* I would always come here with my mom during the summers of 1990 – 1994 and sometimes splash in the water(even though you’re not suppose to). Its right on memorial drive/tip of Harvard sq making it the ideal place to exercise, stretch, meditate, read and people watch. There’s a perfect view of the Charles river and on Sundays June-Oct. memorial drive shuts down allowing folks the freedom to bike, roller blade, jog, walk, etc.(Double check the times to make sure this still happens). Overall, it’s a lovely park, with lovely grass punctuated by breathtaking Sycamore Trees.

This is a fabulous little slice of paradise, perfect for those pickup games of ultimate Frisbee, smoking pot in the grass because it’s legal in Cantabridgia, or passing out in the sun while your friends draw penises on your forehead in sharpie after blacking out, drunk texting your ex girlfriend that she’s the c word and inviting her over for a booty call. Not to say that the park is over run with college students all year. The summer is quite enjoyable.
