This McDonald’s is the most often McDonald’s I go since more than ten years ago. They just recently remodel the place and open late now which is a plus and a minus for me(Plus is open late yay minus is im going to get fatter boo) anyway I never bother to write a review until the recent service. I mean Its a McDonald’s, what can you write about? well the competence of the staffs of course. As today before i go to work(7:40AM) I wanted to get a quick bite because i am hungry and want it fast.(almost late for work) I also have an App for buy1get1free deal. So I rush to this McDonald and normally Its a nice Indian lady manager with a friendly smile there in the morning. However today i didnt see her there. Only a senior staff and a new face there(i call him the senior staff cuz i see him work there many many years. Always a lazy face but it doesnt bother me) There was 2 customer waiting for their order and one of them went back to ask the senior staff some questions. The new face staff saw me and greet me nicely, I show her the app for buy1get1free, of course she doesnt know how to do it on the computer. which i dont blame her cuz she is new. So I waited till the senior staff is available(I expect him to do it quick and well since he is been working here many years) The coupon on the app said buy1 get 1 egg mcmuffin free. But the senior staff ask me what i want after showing him the app. So i assume he knows what he is doing and i am able to choose other sandwiches beside the one shows on the coupon. Then I did chose two different kind of sandwhiches. And he ask me to scan the coupon with a mumbling voice, I need to really focus to hear what he said. After scanning the coupon it didnt work. So i told him maybe i can only get the one on the photo because that is what it says. He hesitated and he added 2 egg mcmuffin and ask me to scan it again. It didnt work. On the customer side you can read the words on the computer saying«The condition does not meet.» Then with an impatient voice, he told me the system doesnt work. He just stood there and not even trying to figure out maybe he misses a bottom to press on the computer system. by the time 5 minutes had already pass and i really need to get to work. I saw there are few hash brown available so i ask to get 3 of them and left in a rush. When he said the computer didnt work, I almost tell him no, its you that dont work. Normally when this happens they will honor the coupon and just do it. nonetheless, I do not see any manager there nor i have the time to wait and argue with him. After all its McDonald and I can afford an extra sandwich. Its the way he handles the situations pisses me off. Maybe that is why he will work there forever and isnt a manager after all those years. Or perhaps he doesnt want to be, either way its none of my business and i wouldnt waste time arguing with him over a sandwich so i just move on. I am writing this to put it out there if other people have similar situation as me, just move on. Its not worth fighting for a few bucks sandwiches to a person without purpose in life. I seen some new dude work there and promoted to shift leader and manager then move on. And those people did good service the customers. There are some good staffs there so i wont rate 1 stars cuz of that one staff. For the new interior looks and open late and the mostly ok staff and service. I give it 2 stars.

They are always friendly. They have been understaffed at times and there have been problems with the soda fountain being out of order at least 2 times in the past year. Egg McMuffins are not that great as they don’t cook the bread and the cheese is cold. This has happened enough I don’t order from there anymore. The fries on more than one occasion were cold, low on the amount and sometimes not salted. Again they are friendly but they need to make some changes.

Almost gave two stars because the morning staff and afternoon staff is decent but nighttime is a joke. Plan on waiting 20 plus minutes and then getting the wrong order while being overcharged. I don’t expect much at McDonald’s but compared to others this place is a joke.

I know, it’s a McDonald’s. This is why I didn’t have high expectations at ALL when I stopped by this morning on the way to South Station. My brother had a bus to catch, but as a loving older sister, I was determined to make sure he had SOMETHING quick and hot to eat before he left. Enter this nightmare. We went in around 10:15, and there were two other customers inside – one was getting the meal she ordered, and another was waiting in line. Fine. I didn’t think anything of it. But then the woman who had already ordered just realized that they made a crap ton of mistakes on her order… which seemed bizarre, as there were TWO people behind the counter and about THREE milling around in the kitchen. It apparently took both people and a good five minutes to sort out this woman’s mess. The other person in line ordered what sounded like a simple peppermint mocha coffee drink… which took another five minutes. Then, it took forever and a day for me to order a meal… with questions after every single thing I said. «One number 6 meal, please.» «Okay, you want a number 6 – you want a meal?» «Yes… and two extra sausage burritos, please.» «Okay, what else did you want besides the number 6?» «Two sausage burritos…» «Ok, what kind of burritos?» And it went on. And on. And on. Oh. Em. Gee. My blood is boiling as I write this! I wouldn’t have minded so much except that they were putting my brother’s food inside a random bag and then took it out and put it back into the right bag and then they tried to stick all sorts of different sandwiches in all sorts of bags. In the end, we left the McDonald’s at 10-freaking-33. FAST food? No. FRIENDLY service? No. MISSED bus? Almost. Never ever again… not even in desperation.

Kitchen appears clean and food is consistently up to McDonald’s standards, but I seem to get in an argument over what exactly I ordered at least every other time I go there. Today I ordered«#2 — 2 Cheeseburgers meal»(that’s exactly what I said) and I got upcharged for a «large» fries. There is no display of what you ordered, and the person running the register NEVER reads back your order. So I didn’t find out until I had my receipt — which they took away from where I’d placed it on the counte, when they handed me my food. Also, I can’t order coffee at this location. The coffee menu is an ANIMATION that ends every 30 or 60 seconds and fades away to black for 5 seconds, likely while you’re reading it. I refuse to be screwed around with by a food menu.

Standard McDonald’s in the strip mall that houses the Whole Foods and Staples in the Fresh Pond Mall… parking is never a problem. If the traffic is bad travelling down Alewife Brook Parkway on your way in or out of work, this is great place for a quick coffee pick me up and/or a snack. Staff can be super friendly and helpful or cold and not very welcoming, it all depends on the shift. The food has been standard for a McD’s and they do make a mean McFrappe which is what I normally go in here for. It is a little smaller than a regular Micky D’s and normally fairly clean. I have never used the bathrooms other users have complained about. I also have never seen food dropped on the floor and reused, if I did I think I’d be calling«Help Me Hank» vs. writing about it on Unilocal,but I digress. Go here for the $ 1 burgers, stay for the McCafe.

This about the bathroom. I had to use the facilities, so I toddled in. There’s a quarter meter on the bathroom. Humph. I duly inserted a quarter. No dice. Apparently, you need to get a token from the register, after you buy something. So, I bought a coffee I didn’t want, then got the token, and entered the 7th circle of hell. The bathroom was possibly the most disgusting place I have ever been near. I didn’t have to pee THAT badly. I will never have to pee that badly. I walked down to the Whole foods, and had the opposite experience. That was the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen. There’s a lesson in this, somewhere.

this place is the worst… hands DOWN!!! IFYOUWANTYOUR food played with, touched and picked up off the floor; COMEHERE. this is no joke, I’ve called the HEALTHDEPT. on them for taking the ¼ lb. that they dropped on the floor and cooked it on the grill, not before dusting it off-LIKE THATMATTERS!!!

It was a great little MickyD’s in a strip mall. I don’t think there is a drive thru like the other reviewer said. The service is good and the cheeseburgers were perfect 5⁄7 visits and good the rest. I have only gotten perfect cheeseburgers at McDonald’s twice before. It closes at 10pm.

oh my god the service was awesome and the fries were perfect. i heard that they have some other locations, but this is my first time at the place. the only problem was my little sister got a toy and i didnt and i got jealous because i wanted a stuffed replica of johnny depp, too! next time i’m gonna try the drive trough it looks like so much fun.
