On Friday we stopped in at this Payless to pick up a pair of sandals for my partner. When we walked into the store we were surprised to see how massive their selection was as well as the fact that the store was well organized.
This store had a massive selection of larger women’s sizes and it was great to see that they had large men’s sizes as well.
The only issue we had worth this store is that the employees were not helpful and never actual spoke to us. Not once did they ask us if we needed help finding our items. Beyond that the selection was great and we would come back.

I don’t think one star applies I don’t typically shop here but I wanted a pair of boots and didn’t feel like shelling out a ton of cash. I get that’s its close to closing time but I’m the only customer and their are two employees. I ask for help finding a specific shoe & size and you point vaguely and I manage to locate the shoe. Since your closing I figure the other employee can help me, instead I must wait. Poor customer service. I won’t be coming back here.

I mean there is a line out the door, someone else needs to get on a register & you shouldnt be allowed to shop while you are in line… The woman in front of me must have had 12 things she needed to keep running back to get, she should have been asked to step out of l ine…
I called ahead to reserve my shoes and I could see them on the counter so I should have just been able to grab them & go… and thank god I looked at them they were 2 different size shoes… Seriously… and they were rude as hell too…
I get it that you are the mall store so I dont usually expect top quality service, but at least a Hello, Not, UGH Whos Next when youve seen me standing here for 10 minutes…

BEST. PAYLESS. EVER. Everything everyone else has said is true and has been for some time now. Wide selections. Super helpful and friendly, quiet staff. Everyone working all the time.
I needed Komet pumps in gold 10W in time for XMAS. I checked online and they had it at the Cambridgeside Galleria location. I called and they graciously offered to hold it for me until the close of the next day. I popped in the same day looking to pay partially with cash and the rest with a gift card. They worked with me. In and out. No fuss, no muss.
The only thing that should change about this store is that the staff should GET A RAISE!!! Thank you!!!

I go here to buy shoes for my toddlers. The staff is nice and quite capable, the store clean and their prices reasonable (at least for Boston).
Expect a Payless Shoes, no more no less. They also have a nice selection of toddler socks, and they are nice enough to get rid of the shoe boxes for me so I do not need to carry them on the T.
