I was sad to see the negative reviews for this place, because I think it’s great! As a restaurant owner myself I appreciate the food, service and knowledge of gluten free items. The veggie phở is great :)

Totally bland phở, miniscule amount of meat in both the soup and the dumplings. Left a full bowl of soup on the table and no one asked why. Poor quality, poor service.

Have been going here at least once a month(or so) for over a year now. I really enjoy their food, it’s hard to come by good vietnamese and thai food in the Boston area, in my experience. This place has my approval. It’s not the best I’ve ever had, but definitely good. The only downside is that their service can be a little slow at times. But if you have time and you can get past that, it’s worth a try.

Nasty and unhealthy food. AVOID! The phở has mono sodium glutamate. At some restaurants, you can request that it not be made with the carcinogenic salt, but not here. Almost all of their dishes have the cheap condiment so that broths and other foods are preserved longer. That aside, their phở is nasty. I tried it once and it was salty(MSG overload) and weird tasting. To get real phở, you have to go to Dorchester, where there is a number of restaurants owned by Vietnamese refugees or their now-grown children. You can also try Chinatown, which has several authentic Vietnamese restaurant. No one at this restaurant is Vietnamese. The cooks are Korean and Chinese who attempt to cook Vietnamese recipes and it’s NOT the real deal. Neither is the Thai food. If the first bite isn’t good that should be the indication. But with all the added sugars and salt our minds convince us it’s good upon the third bite.(Same phenomenon as eating a McDonald’s burger.) If you eat there, you’ll regret it at night when you start to wonder why you are so thirsty.

Ive eaten here and also had delivery. Its terrific– inexpensive and delicious, try the banh xeo and the bun bo hue. Or just do straight up phở — i swear it cured me of my winter cold.

My delivery came in under less than 9 minutes. And it was quite a bit of food. Update: The phở is great, but the Gra pow didn’t come with the fried egg and the green curry didn’t come with enough curry. Would only order phở and fried rice for delivery from here.

Phở ga was decent but nothing to write home about. Ordered take out and they seemed to struggle with the online ordering system since I wanted to pay cash.

Beautifully simple and tasty food. I had the vegetarian version of the Phở Chay with white rice noodles. Very comforty and warm, slightly aromatic crystal clear broth full of fresh perfectly cooked vegetables, tofu cubes, noodles and cilantro. They bring you sprouts topped with fresh whole leaves of basil on the side. Try breaking the basil leaves with your hands and stir them into the broth. You will be surprised. The service was very pleasant and discreet. The price for that generous portion was under 7 dollars. I will definitely be back.

I recently moved back to MA and was worried I wouldn’t find a place with authentic phở. This place surpassed any and all expectations I ever had about Phở. Their vegetarian phở is amazing!!! They also have bubble tea and a strong but delicious coffee. Very reasonable prices and great delivery service.

I ordered take out tofu/vegetable Phở which was pretty good and had plentiful veggies. There wasn’t a strong flavor to the broth, so maybe next time I’d get a spiced broth. The delivery was also very fast, which is appreciated!

This location used to be a thai restaurant called Tamarind House which I used to call TamaBLAND House. The place changed hands and is now Phở House with a healthy mix of Viet and Thai selections. I went with Thai on my first visit. The chicken satay is good. The steamed pork gyoza were just fine. The gra prow chicken is good however it comes off sweet which is not my favorite version of the dish. I think they use sweetened soy sauce in preparation. I will definitely go back and try other things.

Best banh mi I’ve found outside of Vietnam so far! Such a satisfying lunch sandwich for just $ 5. Will definitely come back here every time I’m in Boston :)

This is my favorite new Thai/Vietnamese restaurant. They do both cuisines equally well, have superb service, and the food is excellent. I consider myself a Thai snob, so that’s high praise from me. Check out their Taro Smoothie/Bubble Teas. It’s excellent as well!

I was SO hungry and I really would’ve been ok with anything — I was craving phở so I pulled over as soon as I saw the Phở Countryside sign! Pros: service was super attentive. I loved being able to order a fried egg on top of my shrimp and pork ban. The shrimp was also delicious! I wished there was more of that shrimp. Cons: the phở soup was SO salty! I ordered a small order of Tai(Phở with rare beef) without the noodles for the broth, but the soup was so salty I was only able to eat about a third of the dish. The pork in the ban was so incredibly dry and tough that I left most of that behind. It was like when you have leftovers and try to revive it by frying it up — it was awful. And it had like almost a freezer burn flavor to it? The noodles in my ban were also overlooked :( It looked SO good when it hit the table that I was really let down when I ate it. The potential is there! I’m just not sure I’ll ever subject my tastebuds(or my poor sore jaw from all the chewing) to this.

Love this place! Friendly servers, consistently delicious food(I’ve gotten the phở, pad see ew, spring rolls, vermicelli, and seaweed salad — all great), and nice, comfortable atmosphere. Not the best phở I’ve ever had, but definitely the best in porter!

Food: 3.5 Stars Service: 3.5 Stars The food is a little bit on the bland side but great portions and quality of ingredients. This is a new place that has opened in a location that has some really nice décor. We ordered for appetizers the rice wrap rolls which were delicious with the dipping sauce. They have vegetarian phở which my girlfriend enjoyed and I ordered one of their vermicelli dishes. Really filling and decent taste. Great place for a quick dinner or lunch.

Even though the prices look really good, it’s still not worth the food which is sub-par and severely lacking deliciousness. Thai Salad — small in size and not much to make it interesting(mostly iceberg lettuce and dry chicken) Duck Choo Chee — a small quantity of duck with too much fat and bones. Vegetables on the crunchy side. Watermelon shake — very artificial looking and tasting a bit like pepto bismal

I’d never had phở before coming here, and it was definitely something I’ve wanted to try. When this place moved in up the street, I figured it was as good a time as any to try it. I got the Phở Ga, which is a chicken broth with shredded chicken, in addition to noodles, basil leaves, and other ingredients. I also got it with egg, which only added $ 2 to the total and added a really nice texture to the dish. The noodle bowl came with a side of uncooked bean sprouts, basil leaves, and a lime wedge that you could mix in. I didn’t use them all, but I used enough that it really added and didn’t seem like it was too many different textures or flavors. Once everything else was gone, I found that the broth itself was really filling, and I couldn’t finish it. I also got a Thai iced tea, which was really, really good. It tasted like every other good Thai iced tea I’ve had. Overall, my bill was around $ 13, and that was mostly because I’d ordered the large Phở Ga with the addition of the egg. Great place, I will definitely go again!

Poor service due to understaffing. My boyfriend and I came for Sunday lunch. There probably was 10 – 15 tables, but only two waitstaff. We both ordered entrées from lunch special.(They come with soup, spring roll, crab rangoon as appetizer). My appetizer AND entrée came out 10minutes before my bf’s appetizer came out… I got tom yum soup for app which had no flavor and UNCOOKED veggies(they were so fresh and crunch). We ordered Wild Boar and Duck Choo Chee. Both entrées has veggies that are all UNCOOKED and OVERCOOKED meat. Duck is supposed to be more tender than other meat. How do you make it taste like chicken breast… I’m certain that they freeze cooked meat and recook it and throw in veggies and sauce 20 seconds before serving. I’m very disappointed and not coming back here again.
