Wendy’s

I rarely dine in when I decide fast food is the way to go, so I rarely think about how the inside of a restaurant looks. However after the a long drive, and needing to stretch my leg, my companion and I decided to stop here for a quick bite to eat.
Food is standard for a Wendy’s spot, so I really can’t rave or rant about that. But the service here was above what I expected to have at a fast food spot. When our order was nearly ready the employee gathering our things behind the counter told us we could take our seats and he would bring us the rest of our order when it was ready. I was floored by that, even though it was busy due to the fact that it was lunch time, they were able to do that for us.
Now, the dining area in these newer looking Wendy’s look more like a lounge than a cafeteria. High top tables, low top tables, comfortable leather seats by the faux fireplace, take your pick. Free Wi-​Fi if you must, and I believe this particular location even had laptops set up to use if you needed to do so. Truly, I’m impressed with where Wendy’s is going with this.

Your typical wendys. The first time we came here everything was normal. Second time we came here I assume they hired new people because they were all over the place. The women who took our order talks very low so you can barely hear her. She seemed very nervous as she paced the kitchen. It took way longer to get our order than normal and they weren’t busy. The layout of the store is odd. You have a bunch of little tables then in the back is the booth area which isn’t big and is almost always taken up. I mean what do you expect it’s a fast food chain. However I do love their food. Especially the chili.

Holy Moley this place was hot – literally! The restaurant must know it’s clientele (I think we were the only people there under 55ish) and had the heat turned up on an unseasonably warm day! We had to take our jackets off immediately after ordering.
That said, we received our food promptly and as expected. My colleague asked the cashier to hold the tomato and sauce, and she received her order exactly as she asked. The hamburger joint was older, but clean.
Overall, this Wendy’s was a great place for a quick bite.
