Abbington’s Seaview Motels & Cottages

I’m the second to write a review. I agree with the first review — management couldn’t be nicer. The rooms are old and in desperate need of a face-​lift.
We booked 2 rooms… the beds were extremely hard. the towels where even harder — the bar of soap so thin — there was nothing left after a shower. Hot water takes a few minutes (not seconds) to warm up and don’t spend idle time in the shower — you will run out. Latter up and wash your hair real fast! The worst part — NO screens on the sliding doors — we got to share the room (s) with flies — not one or two — I killed at least 5… plus ladybugs and a few other critters.
For an additional $ 10.00 a night — I’d recommend traveling another 3 miles and staying at the Cedar Crest or any other place. This was the worst place I’ve ever spent a «sleepless» night.

Hm. I hate to make the first review of this place negative, because the management seems SUPER nice, and the price is cheap. The bed was comfy too, which is probably the most important thing. But the cottage we stayed in (#2, no view) had far and away the most dilapidated bathroom I have ever seen in a motel, and the hot water ran out after only a minute or two of showering. So I’m afraid I can’t give the place more than 2 stars. That said, maybe you’re on your way to/​from camping and you’re prepared for a rustic place like this, in which case you might well enjoy it.
