Fantastic local ice cream joint located close to the harbor. It is about 8 feet wide and seems to fit like a shoebox between the taller buildings surrounding it. I visited one afternoon while in the area recently and was excited to see the variety of flavors that were offered. I sampled a few and finally decided on something a little different, a maple walnut this time. Served in a cake cone, it hit the spot for me in the muggy heat of July. Grab a cone from the friendly teenagers scooping up singles and doubles and savor the flavors of summer in Camden!

Good creamy ice cream that can be served in a cone or bowl. Lots of selections and a really friendly staff which im starting find was rare in this area of ME. Loved the eagles nest or eagles feathers ice cream. delicious.

Mainers know their ice cream, and Camden Cone is no exception. The selection is always varied, including some good sugar-free options, and the hole-in-the wall look makes it all the more charming. As for the ice cream itself, it is creamy, flavorful, and generously piled onto the cone — Maine-style. A must-visit for anyone wandering Camden on a summer day!

Meh. Long line. Many wrong orders. Staff of children. Not impressed. Ice cream was overly sweet and not creamy at all. Actually found ice pieces in the ice cream; either it was made improperly or not kept frozen properly. Either way, this doesn’t compare to others in Maine. Skip it.

Camden Cone serves Round Top ice cream, which is great, but arguably not the absolute best, in the state of Maine(for that, go to Cote’s in Brunswick!). Their Chocolate Almond is delicious but melts much too quickly. Blueberry ice cream(which they are quick to point out that Martha Stewart loves) is pretty good, but not the best. Still, strolling around Camden and its harbor on a nice summer day while licking an ice cream cone is pretty wonderful, and Camden Cone’s offerings hold their own.

Ginger Ice Cream! Perhaps the best single scoop I’ve ever had. Friendly Dad and son served me. Nice folks!

homemade, creamy ice cream, a big variety of flavors and toppings, and the great New England«walk up to the window and order» experience. The M&M ice cream is really good, as are the raspberry chip and mocha chip. You can also get your cones and stroll down to the harbor… very pleasant!
