Too inconsistent for me! Some days I order platters and its spot on and delicious then other times I come and the food is horrible! Undercooked, underseasoned… not worth it to me its ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ whether I’m going to like my meal.

I just drove from Philly on my way to New Jersey. I thought my family and I would stop in and grab a bite because this website posted open until 10:00 pm. That was wrong. The restaurant was closed. I saw a man opening the restaurant with a young woman with him. I started to question why he was not open, but did not feel it was worth my time. I should have stopped in Philly for a taste of Jamaica. Update your operating hours so you don’t waste people time, gas and make a bad first impression.

First off, I love this place. There aren’t too many Jamaican restaurants that have «authentic» Jamaican food. Being Jamaican, I can taste the difference. The owners and employees are very friendly. The food is always good and o point.
However, the only thing I’d have to say that I don’t like about this place is their time management. I’m a repeat customer, so its not enough of an issue to keep me from coming back. But if I call, and place an orser for take out… usually I’m told 10 – 15 minutes, and every single time it takes an hour plus for just an order of one platter. If they got this issue under control, they would have fotten 5 stars from me.

Island Vybez (vibes) is a Caribbean (Jamaican) cuisine restaurant offering table setting and take out service located on Federal Street.
Overall our experience was great and the service was friendly. I would definitely repeat!
We ordered take out:
The jerk chicken platter. Platter comes with two sides of your choice. We chose rice and cabbage. The cabbage was great thought the serving size was too small.
The jerk chicken and shrimp alfredo, which was delicious and plentiful!
Lastly, an additional side of plantains, which were sweet, tender moist and cooked to perfection.
I would recommend that you call ahead as everything is fresh and mostly made to order. Our order took about 25 minutes.
While we waited the owner Kevin, was kind enough to offer us a sample of the jerk chicken egg rolls, which were awesome!
