This was some of the best Thai food we’ve ever had. What a great find in Camden. The service was very nice the food was excellent, and it hit the spot. The restaurant itself is very small, but packs a big punch.

We were drawn to this place due to the overwhelming amount of recommendations, At first Glance we almost walked away and choose another place. We are so glad we walked inside instead and were seated. At first bite we were so so overwelmed. The freshest taste came with every bite. I usually don’t care for mussels, but the way they were prepared was out of this world! Then everything that followed was in suite! A must try and see for yourself!!!

Okay, so we went over a year ago, so this is a very delayed post, but this is a place we talk about all the time, it was that good. We live in Australia and have some amazing Thai restaurants to choose from and Long Grain still stands out as one of the best! We went early May, so it was the off season and not very busy. We received great service and spectacular food. I can’t remember what we had, but it was all good. I do remember ordering a dish with house made noodles and enjoying that immensely. I wish I could return here regularly but sadly due to distance, it will be a long time until we can return.

This place is an excellent choice for fresh and flavorful food. Highly recommend the fresh spring rolls, the mussels, the tofu with local greens and the khao soi. The mussels here are out of this world — we were all slurping up the broth even after we had finished eating the mussels from the dish. It also has a nice beer list featuring many Hitachino beers from Japan.

My dinner partner and I chose this restaurant based on the many reviews we read and several people in the Camden area who love this restaurant. We r from Philadelphia and enjoy Thai food there. We made a reservation. We were told we had the table till a certain time 1.5 hr. We arrived to a very loud crowded restaurant. We were seated on time, given paper menus. In less than five minutes we were asked for our order. We chose foods that that were reviewed as very good. The chicken wings were pink inside and had no flavor(thank goodness for the sauce). Mung pancakes just okay. Pad thai like everywhere else… maybe. Yellow noodle fresh ingredients mild flavor . 45min later dinner finished. Never to return.

Totally top of the class Thai/Asian fusion food that’s just about the best in Maine, especially considering the very reasonable price point. A must-try. Reservations strongly recommended or you may risk not getting a table.

Great food and great service. We eat a lot of Thai food and this was exceptional. The place is packed and you definitely need a reservation. The place was fairly small and unfortunately those without reservations had to be turned away. Definitely worth visiting while you’re in Camden.

The Thai beef salad is fantastic and the beef noodle soup is great too! I’m glad it continues in the same small funky space.

Loved it! I am a Vegetarian and I was skeptical that I would have to compromise on taste, but it was delicious… Would definitely recommend…

It’s hard to recommend a dish when they’re all so good, but I’ll go with the Beef Panang or the Spicy Night Market Soup. Also, the rice cakes and dumplings, and definitely the flan.

Go out of your WAY to eat here, you won’t regret it! I travel up here from Boston quite often and have tried allllll the restaurants. Long grain is the most delicious, friendliest, earthiest place I’ve found yet — and somehow their mussels are twice as plump and juicy as anywhere from Portland to bar harbor. Try the coconut flan and all the hitachino beers, but for the love of god don’t fill up before your main course.

We chose this restaurant based on reviews and were not disappointed! Definitely make a reservation because this place is insanely popular(for good reason!). We made our rezzie a week in advance — in February! Can’t wait to get back here! The food is heavenly and the service was super-friendly.

I lived in northern Thailand for several months and I enjoyed a delicious dish while I was there called Khao Soi. I had a difficult time finding this dish at Thai restaurants when I returned becuase it is so specific to northern Thailand. Long Grain not only serves this dish, but it is so authentically delicious! I was also impressed with their beer selection. Different brews from all around the world that pair very well with their cuisine. One of my favorite restaurants in Camden by far.

Fabulous house made noodle dish with local greens and pork belly. The pork and local seaweed steamed dumplings were also great. I love dumplings and these were some of the best I’ve ever had. Super funky and cute space with very friendly staff. I’ll be back!

A small, quaint little spot located off route one in Camden, Maine. Close seating, small bar that serves beer and wine and has a sort of eclectic feel to it. Trying the Lemongrass Coconut Mussels is a must; absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a few other different appetizers including spring rolls, dumplings and wings… and for your Chicken Pad Thai lovers, you won’t be disappointed in the least. The staff is super friendly and attentive and a nice atmosphere. Not to mention, the prices are very reasonable. I’ll definitely stop back in as there was more on the menu than my stomach would allow in one sitting :)

There is no sign, the exterior is run down, reservations are mandatory, and the interior is crowded, but do not let any of this deter you from dining at Long Grain. Do make reservations a few weeks in advance during high season or expect to be turned away at the door as we witnessed over and over on the Tuesday night of our visit. Also expect a delay after ordering because the locals and vacationers in the know call for takeout which backs up the kitchen. We witnessed a young threesome who sat for an hour at the bar before receiving their orders. We were a little more fortunate with my wife ordering chiang mai curry noodles, aka kai soi, with chicken and I, the pad ke mao with chicken(stir fried wide noodles with basil, organic kale and mushrooms). We have had both dishes in the past and this year’s version did not disappoint though my wife felt hers was a bit too spicy.

Very cozy and super great place to eat! Never fails to impress with their rice cakes out of this world! Long Grain has true Thai taste and is quickly made! Highly recommend the Thai tea and homemade noodle dishes! Might recommend a reservation for dinner. Not many options for young children.

As a New Yorker I definitely had better in NYC. But when up in Maine you choose long grain as second best. I had their crab fried rice def not visible crab but tasty and oily Their mussel was good too and the ginger chicken with mushroom was bomb. We did take out for dinner and brought it back to our cabin. Service was a bit slow so be prepared they don’t answer the phone when it’s busy we had to go there.
