This location has a precarious stair entry that could use some repair (boards flex under weight) and is downright scary when it gets covered in snow and ice. The staff are reasonably friendly and they do have monthly local specials.

Yeah, it’s weird, but the reviewers are right… there’s just something different about this place! The staff was super friendly, the sandwich was one of the best Subway sandwiches I’ve ever had, and somehow the atmosphere in there is just… cozy. I liked it!

You think all the Subway store are all just the same?
This Subway, Rte 1 (Elm St) in Camden, Maine has the same corporate food line, but seems to put out a better end product, with people that care.
The working smiling people there make a better sandwich, stuffed with more of what you want in the tasty fresh roll!
It’s a small store, not many tables and in an old house. Right on Rte 1 (Elm St) Camden near the Rockport line.

Okay. Maybe I’m just jaded because of where I live (Northern VA — the land of cranky, unhappy, transient people), but this Subway was pretty freaking awesome… the folks that served us were SUPER friendly and sweet, and honestly, it was one of the best subs I’ve had at any Subway, anywhere, ever. Maybe I was just hungry… or maybe I’m just not used to kind people… but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Awesome.
