I wish I came here more often. I do enjoy shopping here. It is clean an stocked with everything. Big difference in savings when I shop here as opposed to local grocery stores. Staff is kind and helpful. All my stuff gets packed perfectly and carried out to my car. I wish they were a little closer.

I do my shopping here and dread it because who likes grocery shopping. They recently moved everything around and made my shipping trip take quit a bit longer then usual. I’m not a huge fan of change and this is going to take some time to get used to where they moved everything. The produce selection is pretty sad and I wish they carried more of a variety of foods. Also wish they had better parking. The parking lot is terrible and there are few places to bring your carts back to, so there are carts everywhere because people don’t take them back. It’s just ridiculous because they take up parking spaces.

This is about the commissary by the front gate. The two ladies who were working at the self checkout today between the hours of 11:00am — 12:00 pm Were extremely rude and old nasty bitches. They told me i couldn’t use my military id(which is understandable) but they were extremely rude about it. No way to treat military families or a loyal customer for over 20 years. The employees here are getting more rude every visit. So disrespectful!

I enjoy coming here for my groceries. Produce section could be improved i usually do my produce shopping elsewhere because I’m picky and eat paleo so my produce is 50% of my cart. Anyways compared to other grocery stores it more affordable. Tax free. . they do have a deli and bakery which is a bit hidden towards the checkout. Customer service is fine only needed it at checkout and i have no complaints. sometimes things can be out of stock and its annoying when its about 4 times in a row.

Customer service is always horrible the store is hardly stocked most of the time, the prices are about the same as other places and to me this grocery store is hardly worth it anymore. The produce will go bad quickly as well. Not impressed with how this store been the last few months

If you are military, ex-military, or married to someone who is, this is the way to go for most of your grocery shopping, if you live around Camp Pendleton. The staff is friendly and helpful and their selection is very expansive. They have conventional grocery items obviously, but they also have organic options as well. They have plenty of meat options, but they even have vegetarian and vegan options as well. If you are hungry and want to get something too eat ready too go, their deli is a great option with plenty of choices and for a good price. Price wise, it is what you would expect from a commissary. Plus they price match if I remember correctly. To top it all of the store itself is clean and the quality of the food is better than most chain grocery stores. Bottom line, if you have the option there is no reason not to take advantage of it.

Rude employees. If I go through self checkout it means I’m capable of scanning my own groceries and don’t care how they’re bagged. SO means i don’t need a professional bagger coming up to me telling me I should’ve done this or that differently and if I choose to put the basket underneath the shelf instead of handing it to you(like I can read your mind) you shouldn’t have an attitude and tell me to hand it to you. I mean, are you too big to bend over and get it later after i’ve left? Or is it just laziness. Sure. let me make your job easier for you.

I come every three months to shop with my mom. Even though I don’t need much groceries, I still come to check out the goods. I manage to spend between $ 125-$ 200 per visit depending on how long it’s been since the last visit. I try not to come during payday weekends since I like to browse the aisles without all the kiddos running around or electric wheelchairs blocking my way. I like to stock up on rib eyes and meats on every visit. Then the essentials veggies, fruits, eggs, cheese, misc… Lots of sales and promotions and you get some really good deals, especially when you use your coupons. The prices are very reasonable and when coming on non-payday weekends, the store is all yours!

LOVE shopping here, if you have the ability to patron stores on base I highly recommend buying groceries here. Deli meat is super fresh, handmade sushi daily, and discounts on all your basics. The produce is always fresh and I can find almost everything I want… except for that ralph’s brand carbsmart yogurt I am hopelessly addicted! What more can I say? This place is where it’s at.

I’ve been shopping here since 2007. I NEVER used to buy produce here for years till just maybe this year. The produce quality has improved by leaps & bounds but still cost quite a bit more than a couple of the markets out in town. But I def buy our staples here. Most of the clerks are really nice & the store is clean which is a plus. The one thing that really annoys me tho is that they have things like chocolate cookies & snacks sitting in the sun for who knows how long at the entrance. Who does that?

Ah, the infamous Camp Pendleton commissary. What can I say that others haven’t? Ah what the heck! Things haven’t changed… Yes most government officials want these dinosaurs closed now, I wouldn’t blame them. Customer service is always a hit or miss. I love entering the store in odd time frames and dates to avoid the nasty crowd on pay days. Think ninja. Stop drop and roll… Fast paced and dodging everyone. I’ve tried the sushi at the deli and it’s made me sick the last time I had some. So NOPE sadly not ever getting that again… The bakery is okay, I believe they put crack in their chocolate chip muffins since it’s a fight to the death to get to the last one whenever it’s available. The only items really worth buying are the fish and or meats. The vegetables are always either porous or not anywhere near ripe. No win win on the fruit and veggie situation… Although sometimes you may encounter a stroke of luck!!! Another thing that grinds my gears is… What the heck happened to DRESSCODE??? What did you women think it was A OKAY to walk into a military installation with your COOCHIE hanging out? Who told you it was«GOODTOGO» to wear your nipples hanging out or your«pajamas» out to the store? Girl I got kids and I still don’t look like #%^%#%. If I can do it SOCANYOU. Also, another grievance… Please explain to me why you have installed the new format of scanning ID’s in the self checkout lane if you still have workers«looking» at your ID. Along with them being so GD rude?! Pointless job? Most definitely. I LOATHE coming here. I’d rather drive AWAY from it and go elsewhere… The only thing keeping me going in ninja style is to attain your damn chocolate chip muffins!!! That’s with living on base and all. There… That feels better.

Whenever I get the chance to come on base, I do take advantage to buy grocery here. No tax, come on! The parking is a bitch though. I always wonder what we’re they thinking when they designed making places like this. Make it a damn maze for cheap & cram everyone in as much as possible? Yea boo on that part.

Cheap groceries and plenty of coupons. If you’re in the military you obviously know you shouldn’t really shop anywhere else. They even have a little sushi stand near the bakery so you know it’s made that day. Love shopping here.

When compared to local grocers, commissary prices can’t be beat. This commissary is a bit smaller compared to other ones I’ve been too. The aisles also seem pretty small. I’m always getting stuck in shopping cart traffic even when the store isn’t packed. Employees are so-so, I’ve had encounters with the best and the worst of them.

The prices here are by far the best in the area. I’ve seen cheese and yogurt for twice as much at Wal Mart. Overall the workers are really friendly and things are usually well stocked. I love the little bargain area by the sushi, I get canned goods there first. The fresh sushi is really pretty good. All of the things I’ve tried from the bakery have been so so. The cheesecake was terrible. I am especially loving all of the new organic products they are offering! Their selection has gone way up since I’ve moved here. My only real complaint is that the produce there goes bad very very quickly, so only buy what you plan to use within a couple of days. Also their organic produce is nothing special.

on particular days like payday or weekend it seems like they are running out of some products. Some products are cheaper than any other stores but not so much selections like Walmart but still a good place to shop

Prices are great. Produce and meat suck really bad. If you buy apples from them, eat them that day because if you let them sit for any longer(even less than a week) you will find mold inside them when you bit into them. Also, their meat tastes like leather. However, great place to get mason jars and canning supplies! Also, they have really good brands of dog food for much cheaper than anywhere else…

This of course is always the military’s best way to shop and save money on groceries. One good thing is they now also started the Rewards program so you can access coupons and discounts. The service is always good and it has all your basic items. I would only take off a star because I think they should open at 8:00AM verses 9:00AM everyday. The second star I am taking off because they do run out of items from time to time and that is a downfall when you really need the item to cook with. This location is A-Ok!

I haven’t been here in a long time. Looks like the renovations are complete. The place looks well decorated when you enter. As usual, the produce and everything else they sell is good. They also have free samples of sushi and other items once in a while.
