Great service from Muhammed. Has all the ingredients you need for those special native recipes that you can’t find at any other store.

This place is great if you’re looking for spices and other hard to find ingredients for African and Caribbean cuisine. Some of the staple items here have quite the price mark-up(frozen meats, canned goods) so you are better off purchasing them at a regular grocery store or another meat market if it’s meat you’re looking for. The owner was very chatty and friendly, and even offered to order particular items for me. I was looking for Senegalese/Guinean items, but this place has mostly Ghanaian and Nigerian items. It is worth the time and the drive.

Finally found an African Market that sells Ghanaian food. Basics available, but watch your wallet! Spent almost a $ 100 for staple items, including a $ 15 real African yam.

I gave them a 4 stars for friendliness and unique food selections, but the store itself is a bit scary to walk into and feels claustrophobic and a bit dirty. I still find muyself liking it though and it makes me wonder if it is how a real African market might feel.
