I see a good turn around with the new president of the league. Focusing on «it’s all about the kids» is a work in progress. As a parent of a player, I see a healthy environment for positive growth and life lessons. PLAYBALL!

So this will be our 2nd year playing for the league. Its Thursday, and opening day is on Saturday, still no uniforms or hats. Crazy. Seems ok. I think its real cliquey though. We’ll see.

And so it begins. The place where my dream first started. The dream to play major league baseball… the dream of becoming the next Ricky Henderson(I worshiped this cat when I was young) the dream of becoming the next Griffey or Bonds. Campbell Little League was the dopest little league around. Growing up all we thought about was making the majors 9−12yr olds. T-ball, farm, minors were all just stepping stones. Campbell little league and baseball in general is what kept me straight growing up. While my boys were wild’n out on the streets, I was at the field 24 – 7. I would either be playing, practicing, studying other teams, announcing, even umpiring at times(dream job as a teen). Most importantly I learned how to be a team player and a leader… more or less, they taught me how to be a man in the work place. I coached my old team one summer when I was 18 and it was one of the best experiences in my life! If you live in Campbell and have a boy/girl who wants to play ball… hopefully you are in their district!
