They carry some excellent items that we love, and the people that work there are very friendly and helpful. Prices are very good as is the selection. We have been going there for several years. Now I have to go visit them. I am in need of some goodies! :)

This is a great store with amazing products. Their service is super! We spent some time in Croatia last summer, so being in that store brought back wonderful memories from the trip. Love the products and prices too! Give it a try — you will want to come back for more!

This place is a cute little shoppe for ingredients you normally wouldn’t find in an average grocery store. A lot of the products are in different languages so I found it really helpful for the store owner to guide me around. You can really tell she loves food and sharing good food. She helped me pick out quality cured meats like her favorite Hungarian style salami! She carries a large variety of these and other meat parts such as pork butt, and cheek, etc. Its a great wide variety and also really reasonably priced! They have dried, oil cured olives! Sooo many varieties of sardines! French/Turkish coffees! And if you have a sweet tooth like me, the isle for European gourmet chocolates would be your wallet’s demise! She carries a large variety of different chocolates and sweets. If you have a good recipe for European/Mediterranean dishes, try getting your ingredients from here, the lady(and I wish I remembered her name) is super sweet and helpful!

If there’s a Balkan food store within ten miles of me, I’m going. Jasna’s service and specialty candy makes this five stars. She was so friendly, and walked me around the store to recommend the best choices for chocolate, coffee, and ajvar. The prices are reasonable considering the cost it takes to import. You can also take 10% off your purchase if you check in on Unilocal! The store is a bit easy to miss, so look out for it in the plaza by Orale with the Kumon sign. Also, be careful and go slow, or you’ll crunch your front bumper against the pavement like I did :(

I have been here several times. What I like about this place is that they sell a good variety of European candy and chocolates and it’s not that expensive. The last time I shopped here I noticed their large variety of ice cream pre-packed. They had a lot of flavors that I was drooling over. I will definitely buy a pint next time I go. The people that work ther are friendly.

Pay attention to the expiration date — some produce are expired years ago. Don’t buy Croatian burek(three different kinds tried) — it’s full of soybean oil that smells like fat when cooked. Buy Jami burek only. As for the fruit spreads you got Grandma’s Secret produce. No need to buy podravka crap anymore. The same for ajvar and similar products.

Who knew that there was a Eastern European place here? I just happened to park nearby during lunch. The lady working is from Zagreb Croatia and we got to talking about the food she missed. When I mentioned I liked Cevapi, she lit up. Best way to be accepted by a culture is to eat their food. Was talking to an old couple as I was looking through the cured meats and they recommended some Croat supplier who was fairly famous there. SO many thing here, I need to go back and brush up the food items

After a tastey taco at Orales’, I saw this grocery store nearby. From the outside, it looked like one of those generic eastern euro grocery stores in the inner richmond of SF, except this place has the better quality of food stuffs. Picked up some fancy Croation apricot jam and a box of Italian tea cookies for a nice price. Also, found my favorite brand of Greek dried figs. They have piroskis too. Nice selection of chocolates from Croatia. Dried salami’s in the back. Different kinds of olive oil from different countries. No veggies. Customer service: nice and v. helpful.

If you’re looking for Eastern European stuff then this is your place! They have all the stuff from my husband’s country so we go here every now and then so he can get a little taste of home. They are always stocked and they have just about everything you could want, so it.

Attention chocolate lovers, you just HAVE to check this place out especially if you like chocolate from Europe! The BEST plain milk chocolate IMHO can be found here. It’s called Milka. I think it’s Swiss chocolate. I’m not sure since the packaging isn’t in English. It comes in many different flavors, but I didn’t care for anything but the plain one. Other stuff you can find here are Easter European cookies, sweets, bread, canned food, fish, meats, cheese, tea, coffee, soup, pasta, snacks, and more. Trust me when I say Milka is great, just get the plain kind. The package is blue and the plain kind says Milch on it. There are some exotic flavors like coffee, strawberry filled, and more for those of you who like that sort of stuff. This store is worth checking out if you like to try new things or just like really good chocolate!
