Lee has cut my hair for 34 years and always does a great job! He gave our son his first hair cut, and our son is still a customer, 31 years later. Yesterday, I went to have Lee cut my hair, but the shop was closed. Lee has retired due to health reasons. The shop has been sold and the new owner will open the shop on April 3, 2012. We wish Lee the best. He is one of the finest gentlemen I have met.

Cool barbershop banter. Reasonable prices. If you don’t like barbershop talk, you can chat with the owner, who speaks in a manner for which most male hair stylists are famed.

I like getting my hair cut by older men. Why? Because they’re straight to business and no BS. A solid, Don Draper hair cut and conversation about business or sports. All for $ 12. Come here if you want a capital-B Barber, go somewhere else if you want a stylist.

I liked Custom Barbershop and the proprietor Lee. Tried out this place because it looked like a classic small(2 chair) barber shop that wouldn’t keep me waiting, and indeed it didn’t. The dude has been here for some 50 years, talked about local history and was very friendly. It feels good to know there is an old-school barber like him in town. The haircut was cheap at $ 12 and faster than I expected… but hey it was done right and I am a happy customer.

Bummer. Was looking forward to this place after the reviews. Showed up and there was no one there so I figured I was going to be in and out quick then…“Oh hey there. I’m in the middle of lunch so if you can wait a few minutes I’ll be right with you”. Ugh. 10 – 15 minutes later, he finished his foot long then was ready. When he asked how I wanted my hair, I said electric razor #5 on top…“Oh hold on there. I don’t have an electric razor”. An old school barber shop that doesn’t have an electric razor?! I left with a crooked haircut and olive oil in my hair since he didn’t wash his hands after he ate. It was cheap though.

I’m coming back for sure. I went on a quite tuesday morning after class. He was great. We talked about a few things to get to know each other. The cut was good, the service was good. He made my day. A man is nothing without a sharp haircut. Unless he’s bald.

Lee, owner and barber, is just about the nicest man I have ever met. Lee is extremely skilled at the art of Barber Chair conversation. He is an old timer that has been around a LONG time and will tell you about the history of the area. Fascinating!!! The price was cheap, the cut was good, and Lee is a classy Gentlemen.

I like Lee a lot. I didn’t have any cash on me when I went in. He offers to cut my hair first before running to the ATM. Great prices @ $ 11.

Hey Ladies… turn your guys onto this shop and you’ll be able to spend even more on your own hair! Lee, barber, is phenomenal. He’s a great, old-time Campbell businessman who hasn’t raised his prices even though all his competition has. $ 11 for a basic men’s haircut! Can you believe it?! And he does a super job. My husband loves going to this shop because it’s in and out and it didn’t cost him an arm and leg. Nothing fancy, just a good old fashioned haircut! The shop is in an old strip mall on Winchester Blvd. between Hamilton and Latimer, on the same side of the street as Ricardo’s Mexican Restaurant and across the street from the Home Church. Send your guy there while you go pamper yourself at your salon!
