Went out this Sunday morning looking for breakfast, to a place we thought was on Bascom. Missed it but found Goodies. Instantly relaxing due to very family-type patrons. Lots of groups laughing and eating like you wish your family was. We had intended to eat to induce a carb coma, but I ate a veggie burger, which my husband kept poachiing. He had bisquits and gravy and hash browns(a carb coma sweep). My skillet was close on to perfect. They kept offering inoffensive coffee, and seemed really really friendly. Although far from us, we would be inclinded to return.

This place is better than the star rating it has received. I meet here probably a couple of times per month with some girlfriends of mine. The food is decent, and we usually end up staying a couple of hours with no hassles and no pressure to leave. I have not met and unfriendly staff person here. The guy that brings around coffee does it quite regularly and is very friendly. If you want to go to a place to hang out for a while that is kind of like an old style café-I recommend it.

This place was disgusting. I always see that its packed and thought«okay, should be good» WRONG. Ordered a caesar salad what they me was a pile of cabbage and lettuce with carrots and a spoonful of caesar dressing on top, not even mixed. I simply got up and left. Never going back.

Talk about super old school. A diner in the old ways that you dont see anymore. Breakfast skillet with bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and potatoes. Side of sourdough toast for my normal breakfast goodness. SOlid. It was clear we were the youngest people in the whole place and the tempo of the room seemed like it was from another era too. If you like traditional American breakfast with some choices of old school Greek and Mexican thrown in, Goodies fits the bill

After subpar to downright awful experiences with the food on my last 3 or 4 visits, I’m done with Goodie’s. Used to be a great place to get cheap, classic, tasty diner-style food. No more. So the final straw was this: Came with family for lunch, got the tuna melt. I literally couldn’t eat it, it was so bad. Something was wrong with the tuna. I should say here that I’m not the least bit picky; you have to REALLY screw something up to get me to not eat it. And to ask that it be removed from the bill? I don’t think I have ever done that a single time in my life. But this time I figured someone really needed to know. So when I told wait/cashier staff about it and requested they remove it from the bill(because it was inedible), they disappeared for 5 minutes apparently talking about it behind the scenes. Then came out and said they would take 50% off the sandwich. Really? Ok, whatever. I don’t care about the money. But seriously? A customer who quietly explains that the $ 9.00 sandwich ordered was inedible, And you can’t take it off the bill? Come on. I’m sad that it took something like this for me to break up with Goodie’s. At least we had a few good years together. :)

No. Just… no. They never cease to fail me. Goodie’s is so very close to where we live that we keep coming back whenever Dad wants to take us out for a meal. Every damn time we ate here at least one of us has been served something in the range of «nasty» to «completely inedible.» Mealy French fries, slimy eggs, greasy everything. I’m sorry, Goodie’s, but you do not make«Good Eats» by any standard. Today, on this historic visit, my sister said, «That’s it, this is the worst tuna melt I’ve ever had. This time don’t let me leave without making them take it off the bill.» It was a seven minute wait to talk to someone who then agreed to give 50% off the price of the sandwich. It wasn’t worth the time it took to complain. Maybe that’s why they are still in business.

I went to goodies a couple of years ago and remembering the experience as a positive one. Thought I’d try it out again and all I have to say is what happened? Pros: –Really cute greeter! –Good whip on hot cocoa –cozy, old school interior –Nice man who brought us our drink orders. Cons: I thought an eggs Benedict was suppose to have a runny, gooey egg yolk. Mine was almost the consistency of a hard boiled egg. My hash browns were not heated properly and was cold. –server seemed angry. Didn’t really feel welcomed. But I do understand she must’ve been there all morning so I give her some points. Overall, I will probably come back because I don’t want to believe it has gone down hill.

I don’t know how I’ve never found this place before, but wow I’m sure glad I finally did! Let me sum up the experience in a single word… BACON!!! food: again… bacon. Best bacon I’ve had at a restaurant. It’s thick and cooked perfectly. I could eat it all day! Ok, then there’s the less important food. Eggs I got poached(medium) and they were again, perfect. Hash browns are a tad greasy for my taste, but still good. Pancakes are ok. My son had chocolate chip pancakes and said they were great. Service: fine. Nothing extraordinary, but good. Atmosphere: it’s a diner. Don’t expect fancy. All in all, we’ll be back for sure. Seriously… bacon.

Wow! I am stunned. This is the place to go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! The service is friendly AND efficient. I ordered breakfast and got a piping hot plate in about 5 minutes! The food is fresh and delicious. The portions are simply perfect! The waiter stops by every few minutes to make sure your cup of coffee stays full. I can’t wait to take my family here. Thanks so much.

In a town with some well known breakfast joints, this one is right up there with the best. Easy parking, and a wide variety of seating make for a welcoming place. Came in on a weekend morning to see quite a bit of people, but there was no wait so we were taken straight away to a table. Nice variety of familiar breakfast foods, so there should be something for everyone here. I ordered an omelet with home fries and toast and found it well cooked, stuffed and piping hot. About the only fault I found is the coffee. Diner coffee isn’t known for its complexity, but this was marginal at best. Drinkable, but left something to be desired. My tablemate ordered the corned beef hash and it looked quite good, he complained about there not being enough, but I suspect that was because he liked it. We were seated quick, served properly(busboys here rock, on their game for sure) and out just as quickly, feeling fat and sassy. Can’t go wrong here and will likely find a new weekend haunt…

I came here for brunch this morning with a friend. Service: Service wasn’t ideal. Our server didn’t really check in on us much and she completely forgot to bring the grapefruit juice I asked for. Ambiance: Standard American diner. Nothing fancy. Food: Again, nothing fancy. I had the gyro sandwich. The meat wasn’t very good quality. The potato salad had too much vinegar. Overall: Underwhelming. Edible, but I probably won’t be back.

This is the third time I have been in here and it has not once disappointed me. The chicken fried steak was better than I thought it was gonna be and the eggs benedict was pretty good also. The place does not have fresh squeezed juice and the coffee is very average but it is still a pretty tasty little diner.

I had a pretty basic breakfast with bacon and eggs. It tasted good. Corn tortillas as a substitute for toast. Great prices, in my opinion! If only they had almond milk or any sort of lactose-free creamer so I could have my coffee, I’d probably come in more regularly.

We stopped for a quick lunch. My wife had a BLT and commented on how much bacon was on the BLT, a lot of bacon. I had a simple grilled cheese. Very good. We like to support local businesses and plan on going back soon.

This place was just alright. We live close by and notice that the parking lot is always filled for this place. We finally had a chance to try it out. I didn’t think it was anything special and the ambiance has a bit of an identity problem. Service was a little slow, but the restaurant was quite full. This wouldn’t be my first choice for breakfast/brunch, but we can at least say we tried it. Portions are pretty big.

I ordered the Eggs Benedict and chicken lemon rice soup to go. Good: potions are huge. They definitely don’t skimp on your order. Lots of fruit with my Eggs Benedict and 1 order of the soup could easily serve 3 people. Lots of lemon in the soup(and I like lemon). Bad: both items just didn’t taste that great. Eggs Benedict is usually my go to breakfast item if it’s available and even Denny’s Eggs Benedict tastes better than this. I ate about 1⁄8 of it then tossed it. The rice soup was OK… I had another restaurant’s Greek lemon chicken soup the other day and it was fabulous and I was comparing theirs to this — it just didn’t match up.

Finally tried the place live close by and always looks crowded. Came in on a Sunday afternoon it looked packed but we only waited about 5 minutes, the hostess was very nice but once seated we were not greeted for quiet sometime our waitress came to us three times to take our order deliver the food and give us the check we were never asked how the food was or if anything was needed pretty disappointing. It also took her a while to realize we were done eating and waiting for her. We did noticed that some tables were helped right away, like received coffee only moments after being seated. However the food was pretty good non greasy and not heavy. The fruit was very fresh and non syrupy. The menu had everything you would want from a diner. I got French toast and an omelet both delicious and even though in was on the bigger side it was not overwhelming. The place gets three stars because the food is delicious, you don’t feel gross just fool, but the service was very spotty, we were forgotten.

Another bookmark knocked off. It was last Thursday that I came here w/my little one after a 5 mile run and a 3 mile walk. I really wanted to order a breakfast entrée but knew that I would definitely go overboard w/my calorie intake. I opted for their Chicken Taco Salad instead. While the deep fried tortilla bowl doesn’t constitute it as «healthy» and neither is the sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese however, I think that burning over 500 calories have given me that freedom to enjoy my somewhat healthy salad. I ordered the macaroni and cheese w/fries for my little one. The meal comes w/a drink. Beware though because my server appeared to have forgotten about it until I reminded her. It wasn’t a big deal but never paid attention until after I leave but w/car payments now, you better believe I will pay close attention now. Every penny counts! No menu online so I called to make sure they have salads and what kind. The girl, assuming the hostess had no clue what was on the menu. Her response, «I think we do». I was disappointed in how she handled it. Even if she did not know, the menu has got to be w/in arm’s reach. Total fail. Despite her oblivion, I went anyway. My little guy and I were seated right away. The entire staff were all prompt and friendly. My iced water and diet soda was refilled instantly and constantly. Looking through their menu brought indecisive thoughts but I was determined to order the taco salad. It’s pretty expensive but I will say that I love the avocado that was freshly placed on my salad whereas most places would serve it w/guacamole. The lettuce was fresh and crisp but there wasn’t a whole lot of it. The salad had a bit of everything… an actual serving if you minus the tortilla bowl. The tortilla bowl was crispy and was fried perfectly. I loved how it was served on a lettuce leaf. My little guy’s meal was ok. The fries were standard, wasn’t freshly cut but it was fried just right as well. I’m now assuming all of their fried dishes on the menu is awesome. The macaroni and cheese must come from Kraft… very cheesy albeit standard. Kids eat free on certain days except for holidays. I need to come back for their breakfast.

Update: Just a suggestion. We still eat here all the time because we live so close and they are SO accommodating. I have been ordering the same thing for a while now, they make it for me with no complaints, as it is not«on the menu.» I order the BLT, add avocado, and add an egg. It is amazing! I highly suggest it for breakfast. I just love that they are so helpful and accommodating. Some restaurants won’t even let you change anything. This place will let you change anything! And for little charge!

Easy to find and to get to. Pretty straightforward place. No cutesy stuff here. Noticed a bunch of law enforcement dudes having brunch too. The bigger group mentioned above was there before us but the kitchen served our food in between. It was awesome! Clean place, fast service, reasonable prices and kids gets to eat for free M-F anytime! When you check in on Unilocal you will get a free non alcoholic drink. With purchase of course! This is where a little bit of confusion ensued. The female server/cashier said she does not know what to do with it. Not my problem. You advertised — you better know what to do! I want my free O. J! I got it! She’s nice… just be patient… like I was :) Tip: they serve wine, cocktails n beers n they have their own parking lot in the back! Wohooo!
