It’s a pleasure to write a review for someone you have worked with on something as challenging as buying property in the Bay Area(and in the difficult buying year/summer of 2013). As a result, you really get to know and see the true quality and character of someone who is partnering with you like a real estate agent. I was so fortunate to meet Hamid Reiisieh through a good friend who worked with Hamid over the years(she herself worked as an agent in the past). I have bought and sold properties before, so I’m not a total newbie and I can compare with at least 3 agents I did transactions with before(not to mention many I may have worked with in passing here and there). Hamid stands out among all the agents I’ve worked with, and there are so many reasons. First of all, Hamid has deep knowledge and experience specific to the Bay Area(primarily South Bay), as well as an impressive background in finance(not just mortgage finance). He is an awesome communicator too, which is not easy when it comes to the finer details, and understanding and clarifying all the ins and outs of contracts and processes, many of which are unique to California or the county/city in which you are buying. Hamid also worked around the clock and kept up with every detail. It’s amazing how he stayed aware of everything and forewarned me as needed, keeping everything going smoothly and to my best interest. From searching, narrowing my options, making multiple offers, negotiating, funding, due diligence and inspections, close of escrow, post-sale details and assistance — he was always available and responsive, patient, helpful, and understanding. Things get tricky and details are tough to get through sometimes, and the unexpected is inevitable in any dealings. He has seen it all and knows just what to do, and with such a pleasant attitude. It is perfectly legal in California(maybe elsewhere) to use one company/agency for both your real estate agent representation as well as your mortgage broker. Hamid did quote me some pretty good rates for the mortgage, but I ended up going with another for the mortgage. For some folks, it’s definitely a plus to do both services with the same company(you can close a lot faster and more predictably, no doubt) and Hamid does provide that if desired. Hamid strikes the perfect balance in so many ways to be such an incredible agent. There are times he was aggressive, firm and decisive(or pushed me to be so), whereas other times he was just patient and supportive(like in the searching stages — as I looked at MANY different areas and options). He’s great with it all. To top it off, he’s just a wonderful person, and that’s always the most important thing in my view in working with anyone!
