Love the environment and Shannel is an angel! Extensions, cut, color you name it!!! I most recently came in for extensions feeling like my hair was depressing in length, health or volume and the picture speaks for itself. I left with high quality extensions put in carefully so that they aren’t seen, distributed well and so no one would know that it’s fake!!! The color matches PERFECTLY! seriously book with Shannel and the whole Platinum experience will wow you! Beautiful salon (totally put together by the owner), his cute dog Platinum, great Kevin Murphy products and did i mention they will give you wine while you’re getting your hair done!!!

This is an amazing hair salon! Clay is the best stylist EVER. He does magic with color too. I’ve been seeing him for over 12 years. He opened this beautiful new salon about a year ago and it only gets better and better. The whole team there is super friendly and make you feel right at home. Rosemary at the front desk always has a smile and is very professional. They do know how to pamper a lady. If you are looking for a great salon you really need to try this one.

I moved to the Bay Area about a year ago and I still have been searching for a stylist that fits for me and my availability. Yesterday, I had extra time in the day and was able to book an appointment with Lauren.
I walked in and was greeted by the friendly desk associate as well as by a cute little fluff ball dog. She is the salons mascot. Super cute and friendly. I got in and got out quickly and my hair looks so much better than it did before. I know a lot of women love going to the salon to chit chat and could spend all day there. I don’t. I like the after of getting my hair done, not the during. I got a full head of lowlights and Lauren had me done in just under 2 hours.
The salon is very chic and everyone seems very nice. The shampoo and conditioner (Kevin Murphy) was heavenly! Smelled amazing and Lauren gave a great massage in the bowl! At the end she didn’t push all the products in me which was a nice surprise. Every salon I’ve been at around here pushes like 5 products on me. I’m sorry I don’t want to spend 3,000.00 on product In one day and I don’t want to feel bad about it. Well, I ended up buying 3 products just because she didn’t shove them down my throat.
I booked another appointment for a cut with Lauren and am actually looking forward to it. Thank you Lady!

Very happy with my experience! I called and surprisingly was able to get an appointment that day about two hours later! I arrived at the salon greeted by the salon mascot (dog) along with Coco, my stylist, who immediately took me to her station. The attendant asked me if I would like anything to drink: coffee, tea water, wine (!?) I settled on coffee, which was very good! We discussed what I wanted. I asked for the color to be the same as what the current color was, only uniform. I’ve asked this of previous stylists, who failed miserably, Coco was spot on!
With all the attention and quality, I anticipated paying more for what I received, but they charged about the same as my previous (poor) hair stylists.
To top it off Coco sent me a very nice card, wishing me good luck on a wedding I was singing at, and hoping I enjoyed my hair style.
Yes on both counts!

I saw Brian and he did an excellent job of cleaning up my damaged hair and he got the bangs just right! I am absolutely going back again.

I’m so glad Unilocal helped me find this wonderful salon! I made an appointment for hair cut and color with Clay and am so glad I did! I walked in not knowing what I wanted and Clay helped me with his expert advice and honest opinion. He is s true master at what he does and makes you not only look but feel beautiful too! I walked out a very happy person and got ton of compliments! The salon is a very stylish and the customer service is superb! Highly recommend!

Can I just say? I LOVE THIS PLACE! I LOVE CLAY! I came in with my hair looking like total DISASTER! My hair had been through so much, latest being a super old balayage! My hair looked and WAS dead! ** But Clay WORKED WONDERS with my hair!!! Their hair products literally smell like something you’d wanna eat… the extensions he put in look like my own hair… my hair is FABULOUS! So many compliments and he was AMAZING and the staff was just FLAWLESS! My hair looks like I just walked off the red carpet… and I’m not exagerating. I love this place! I’m SO coming back!

Love this place! Everyone here is super nice and welcoming! Clay was really dedicated in making sure you get what you want! When he first did my hair, it didn’t come out as I expected but he was more than happy to give me what I was looking for; he made it his personal goal to get what I wanted! :) Sean is AMAZING too! He did a great job with my hair cut and I don’t think I will go anywhere else! This place is great, it’s worth well your money!

I LOVE the hair color they use — It’s PETA approved. It leaves my hair SUUUPER SHINY and doesn’t have a horrible smell at all. I didn’t get my hair bleached, but was given the opportunity to smell it. It smelled so good! Didn’t smell caustic AT ALL!
Clay knows how to work with thin, fine, and sparse hair — which is me. My cut ALWAYS comes out great — get compliments. The grow out is GREAT — shows a good hair cut.
I use the hair products (shampoo and conditioner) Clay recommends. Yes they’re expensive, but it doesn’t fade my color out at all. Just a little dab will do ya on the shampoo so it lasts a long time. The bottle lasts about two months.

Love coco! She is really good at styling, especially coloring. I have experimented a lot! The place is very chic and cozy at the same time. Very family and friendly environment. And Sean is great, too!

Clay has been doing my hair for years. It is always a pleasure to see him and come out looking more youthful and vibrant. Thank you!

I love this place! Sean is an excellent hair stylist. I would call him an artist. I did not receive a hair cut for over a year and my hair was quite the disaster. After almost half an hour my hair was completely revolutionized! Thanks again Sean and the team from Platinum!

My grandmother, mother, and I have all been going to Clay for years. Love the feel of the new salon, and that I am greeted by his cute pup, Lil Miss Platinum, every time I walk in. What I love most about my experiences here, is the fact that Clay always listens to what I want. I’ve gone blonde, brunette, and red by him (as well as full color, highlights, ombré, and peekaboos) and have loved them all. He introduced me to Kevin Murphy products– and oh my! They work so well and smell amazing! Have recommended and referred a few friends to Clay and the salon, and will continue doing so!

I’ve been looking for a new stylist for a couple of years now and no one has been able to get my cut just right. I went to see Clay for the first time last month and brought him a photo of what my hair should look like. He asked lots of questions then proceeded to cut my hair perfectly. This is the same photo I’ve brought to three other stylists but no one else managed it. Color me impressed — I am now a regular customer.
As if the excellent cut wasn’t enough, the gal at the front desk was extremely courteous and professional. She even came outside to find me when I had a hard time finding the suite. Great experience.
The cut wasn’t cheap — $ 80. It was worth it but be prepared.

I see my stylist Lora Hickman regularly here now– sweet salon! Brand new, clean, friendly people and of course, Lora is amazing at her job. It’s tough to find a stylist out there who listens to what you want and has years of experience=) I leave happy every time. Highly recommend Lora!

I needed a color and trim badly and my regular stylist books up fast so I decided to try my luck and called this salon near my home. I was able to get an appointment with Sean and he did an awesome job with both the color and cut. He’s very precise when he cuts and cleaned up my layers. He was such a nice, friendly, professional guy and really great at what he does. I’d highly recommend this Salon and Sean in particular. All the stylists were friendly as well.

I love love love coming to Platinum to see Clay. He took me from magenta/​purple to blonde without my hair falling off my head, I was told multiple times this was impossible, but Clay did it! I love my weekly visits for my deep conditioning treatments to keep my hair healthy and our wonderful chats. Clay has so much experience and is great at educating you about your hair and products. All the hairstylist are very friendly as well and are all well educated. I would definitely be willing to see anyone of them if Clay was unavailable.

So, so very happy Lauren Feniello is at this new salon! I’ve been with her for years at Main Street Annex in downtown Los Gatos and this is a major upgrade. Parking is easy (thank goodness) and it’s close to some of my favorite spots in downtown Campbell.
Lauren is easily the best hair stylist I’ve ever had. She listens and works diligently to achieve the look you’re interested in. I am asked often if my red hair color is natural, which is the ultimate compliment of her work.
The best part of a visit with Lauren is that it is so enjoyable — good conversation and the head massage during the shampoo and rinse is incredible. You’ll feel like you drifted off for a moment of Zen at a swanky spa.

I am SO excited that Iris Torrez is now at Platinum Salon! I’ve been with her for well over a decade and have been happy with my haircuts and the color she does. I mean, obviously. When I do color, I opt for fun hues like blue and purple which she totally knows how to do well. Check out my Spring 2012 photo for an example. Or really, any photo since she’s my hairdresser! :)
As for the salon, big upgrade. It’s located right off Winchester and Campbell near Rincon in a new building. There’s tons of parking which is a plus considering the city of Campbell lacks in this area. The salon is cozy and swankily decorated with deep purple plush chairs and chandeliers.
I can’t wait for my next haircut!
