When I first moved to the Bay Area I didn’t really know places to eat at. My cousins stopped by this shop and it has been my favorite Bánh mì place ever! The bread is light and tasteful. The grilled chicken is marinated so well I get tempted to eat two!

The overall price for a regular sand which is a little over priced and the bread came soggy when i wanted it toasted. It’s nice and all that they have combo deals like 6 bucks for a sandwich a bag of chips and a soda, but its not worth it to me if the sandwich doesn’t appeal to my taste. I feel that my grilled pork sandwich was too salty and was terrible in comparison to Huong Lan’s sandwiches which are only 2.50 each and they come with a perfectly crisp bread that makes you want to drive the distance to eat their food for a picnic or for lunch. I heard that my friends liked this place for vietnamese sandwiches, but i would highly recommend that people try Huong Lan for authentic vietnamese sandwiches that make you want more! I feel bad for advertising another shop on this review, but I want people to know where to get a good vietnamese sandwich for a better deal.

I love this place so much. The food was so good, staffs were fast and friendly, and the owner was so nice to everyone. I often got number 3: grilled pork sandwich, I thought it’s the most popular item there. Number 1 is my favorite too. They have very special house mayonaise. The combination will make you melted with all the goods. Make sure you try Phở too. Can’t go wrong with number 12: beef combination. No MSG is a plus!!! Can’t ignore Boba tea. Go for Mango Milk Tea with pearls! Thumbs up all da time!

Small banh mi place that is hidden as it is inside a plaza. They have a limited selection of sandwiches and other foods. I went with the pork belly banh mi. Whenever you are in a Vietnamese restaurant, you have to get the Vietnamese Coffee also. The sandwiches are a bit more on the pricer side as they start around $ 4. They also only have a couple different selections. I liked the overall banh mi but I prefer some other places with a cheaper alternative.

Pretty good and cheap Vietnamese food. It’s a bit of a drive from my work place in LG, but it’s the only cheap one around the area that tastes more Vietnamese than American. I used to get the fish cake sandwich(banh mi cha ca), but they stopped making that one, so I’ve been getting grilled pork or other things on the menu. I wish they still had the cha ca though. Nice and friendly staff. Place has limited parking and gets pretty crowded during lunch time. Portions are big and good for the price. They also offer Phở and fried rice and other dishes, as well!

I just came to this restaurant for lunch today and I must say, this place really lives up to its name! I ordered a BBQ Pork Bahn Mi and it was definitely yummy — large bahn mi for a great price and tasted really fresh. Not to mention the service was quick. I will definitely be coming back here again. UPDATE: Visited a second time and ordered the same thing. This time, the sandwich was very oily, changing my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars.

This place is definitely worth a visit. It’s unfortunately located in a shopping complex that doesn’t receive a lot of foot traffic and I feel like they would be better served being physically located elsewhere… that said, you probably won’t be waiting long for service. Their Banh Mi are really tasty! I’ve tried the BBQ Chicken and the Pork, and both are refreshing and flavorful. They leave you with energy without feeling heavy. Their spring rolls are also quite delicious! The service is very good, and the wait staff is friendly. I hope they get more traffic… and hope they can move to a better location soon!

Combination Phở was actually really good but I wished there was tripe in my phở though. My phở didn’t come as fast as other phở places I’ve been to. Very small restaurant with like 4 tables inside and a couple outside. Not sure if it ever gets busy. Prices are ok.

The sandwiches are really tasty — a good balance of house mayo/pickled veggies/meat. I’ve only tried the BBQ Pork(#5) so far, but will definitely be back to try the others. The bread is so so good — definitely fresh and very crunchy. Service is friendly and quick.

I pulled over into this totally nondescript shopping center in the pouring rain with a baby in the car. I needed something quick to eat. I open Unilocal and see that there is a Vietmese restaurant with a good rating here. I order a #5 with extra veggies to go … since I saw that was popular. Seeing I have my hands full with the child, the kind man behind the counter tells me to wait in my car and he’ll bring it out to me. Bear in mind … it’s still pouring out. A simple but much appreciated gesture of customer service. When I got my food(from the smiling soggy man), I was delighted that the bread was warm, crispy, and soft. Perhaps the best bun I’ve had on a Vietmese sandwich. All the fillings were yummy. I appreciated the option of extra veggies. It makes for a better balance. Sometimes I find these sandwiches can be too bready. Another great random find thanks to Unilocal

Food: Great bbq pork sandwiches and grilled pork with vermicelli. I like the sandwich deal with chips and a soda. We always call ahead and pick up as this is a whole in the wall place with limited seating. I just wish they were open on Sundays as I always seem to want to eat this on a Sunday for some reason…

Came in for a to-go order. Small parking lot, but we were able to find a spot right in front. Their space is clean, and the menu was presented very clearly! I ordered the #3(Banh Mi thit nuong) and a milk tea w/pearls. I mean it’s good for being probably one of very few restaurants that sell banh mi in its area, but I don’t think it’s as good as Huong Lan on the east side. I felt like there wasn’t enough meat, and the meat was a mixture of actual meat and meat fat. The veggies are delicious and possibly the vegetable to meat ratio was a little bit off(more veggies), which isn’t terrible to me since I like the pickled veggies. The milk tea was alright too, pearls were a little bit on the hard side, but still edible! Overall, this place is pretty good for its area and I’d come back whenever I’m craving a banh mi! :)

Not bad. It’s a good place in Campbell, but I think other shops in the San Jose area beat it. I got their #1 and everything tasted pretty good. Maybe needs a bit more umami or something, but I’d try it again. They also have Phở, spring rolls, rice noodles and more if you’re looking for something other than sandwiches. They do take credit cards here. Although, because they take CC, they also charge tax which is a little foreign for a banh mi shop.

Came back and gave this place another shot. The #1 bahn mi was quite tasty especially with extra veggies($ 0.50) My new favorite sandwich is #5BBQ pork with extra veggie and add pâté. The baguette that they use tastes very fresh. Make sure to get a sandwich loyalty card if you come here often! Their phở is not bad $ 8 – 9 and they DONT use MSG They also serve phở, chicken fried rice, curry chicken over rice and spring rolls, none of which I’ve tried. They also have boba, Vietnamese ice milk coffee. There are four 4-tops inside and several seats outside as well. Good for a quick sandwich to go or to dine in. Parking is easy if there’s space available in the plaza’s lot.

I had a craving for Banh Mi, but wanted to try something other than Lee’s. I was pleasantly surprised. like others have said, their baguette was soft and crunchy– better than Lee’s! Their meat was a good portion and not as salty as Lee’s. I think the meat could have used a little more flavor, so I added a little salt and that helped. Their Banh Mi comes with pickled daikon, cliantro, carrots, peppers, and a slice of cucumber. The cucumber helped each bite to taste fresh. My friend had the beef phở. She said it was good and comparable to Le Quy. Wasn’t crowded on a Tuesday for lunch, parking is limited as it is in a strip mall, but remained half full for the duration of our lunch. Small hole in the wall restaurant, food was good, service was very speedy.

This is a small sandwich shop in a strip mall. Parking can be hard to find, especially during a lunch hour. I like this place for their simple menu. Typical options are banh mi sandwiches for 4.50, and 4.00 for the vegetarian options. They also have phở and boba drinks. I got their BBQ pork sandwich which came out to just under 5.00 with tax. Compared to other Vietnamese sandwiches I’ve had, their bread roll is the best. It’s warm, freshly baked, and soft. Other places have their breads not that fresh and sort of rough. The pork was soft but not that flavorful. In fact, I found the contents of the sandwich(carrots, pickled daikon, cilantro, etc.) to be sort of bland. They don’t put enough in there so it feels like I’m eating bread for the most part. It’s nice that they bring the food out to you if you order to eat in. Usually, they call a number and you pick it up.

Wow! Was craving a banh mi sandwich and found this gem in a small plaza in Campbell! Ordered a sardine with onions banh mi and I was very satisfied. Freshly toasted bread, veggies were crispy and flavorful, and sardines were generously distributed and seasoned perfectly with the right amount of onions. The sandwich was also warm(probably from the bread), which added to the tastiness of the sandwich! Friendly staff, quick and easy bite to eat. Check this place out, especially if you are looking for delicious Vietnamese food! I am beyond happy to find a local Vietnamese sandwich place, can you tell? Enjoy!

This place never fails me, ban mi(amazing), spring rolls(delish), boba in Campbell(bless you), mom and pop shop(support local)…plus a stamp card(hell ya)! Oh did you want the short version? Go here! Ps. They do take cards in case you run out of cash! Ps.2 people here are always friendly Update: in case you look at photos the price has been raised… sandwiches are $ 4.50(not 3.50) and combo is $ 6(not $ 5)…to be honest they are a small mom and pop and I do t mind paying the extra dollar… esp when their service and food is always amazing! And don’t forget their rewards card!
