My wife got a discount certificate for her birthday, so, having tried the Pittsford location, we decided to try the Canandaigua store. We own a convertible, and it was a beautiful day, so away we went. The place is easy to find with ample parking in front and in the rear. There’s a nice little patio dining area in the rear, but there could be a better view than the dumpster, which was being dumped while we were there. No big deal, but worth mentioning. Our waitress was lovely and knowledgeable. She offered us a taste of some wine of the day, and it was quite tasty. We each had a half glassful. There’s always so much to choose from, but my wife had a Chicken Cordon Bleu Crêpe, and I had the Philly Cheese Steak(hold the mushrooms, please). My wife’s crêpe was wonderful. Everything about it was pretty much perfect. My crêpe was excellent too. BUT, there were those mushrooms staring at me. OK, I decided that it wasn’t worth the wait to reorder. So, for the first time in our 19 year relationship, my wife saw me eat mushrooms. It’s true I didn’t explode and die. I didn’t get sick. I still don’t want them, but at least I know I won’t die. My crêpe was delicious. BTW, I saw our server indicate on her tablet that I didn’t want the fungus, and she offered to have my dish made again, so it was a wash, no harm, no foul. Too full for dessert, we ask for our check. Next time, we skip the wine. $ 8.50 for half a glass? REALLY? That was $ 17 we could have saved. So, yes, it’s pricy, but you get your monies worth for the food. For the most part, the ambience is good, save for the dumpster. The Pittsford store is near the Erie Canal, and is quite nice too. I have no complaints about staff or portions. The venues are nice at both places. I suggest staying away at peak hours, because these places fill quickly. I’ve gained a whole new appreciation for crepes, and look forward to our next visit.

This place is amazing. Great spot with a small town feel. Left a wedding and was looking for a good brunch spot and this is it. Babs(Barbara) was our waitress and had great personality.

Simply Crepes is one of my FAVORITE places to eat. I’m from Canandaigua and I would definitely recommend it. There’s something for everyone on the menu– whether it be sweet or savory crepes, and there’s also smoothies, oatmeal, or parfaits if crepes aren’t your thing. The building is very comfy, cute, and artsy, and the people who work there all seem very nice from the times that I’ve been there.

Slow service. Chair was uncomfortable. Also silverware was not brought until after the meal was served. Disappointing service. I’ve been here before and had a better experience but I would not want to throw the dice again. A resturant should be consistent, not a roller coaster.

Came here with a friend for a belated birthday celebration. We were seated quickly and served drinks before ordering lunch. They have many gluten free options! My panang curry crêpe was delicious, but a little skimpy on the shrimp. Good selection of local wines and beers

this is a great place for lunch always have a good time. If I have the same day off as my three daughters 1411 and 7 we like this place for lunch. The staff is always polite and friendly. Sometimes its a little busy for my liking, but thats just more evidence they are getting it right. The desserts are really big. I don’t know if they are intended to be shared but they probably lose money because we always share a dessert. Could never finish one after lunch ;) they do a great job!

Below you’ll find my original review BUT Nicole H, I assume, from Simply Crepes reached out to me to improve their service. I personally really respect that kind of customer service. Simply Crepes has 3 locations so they must do something right and do it well. My experience must have been an outlier and with this type of commitment to customer I will certainly try them again. 3 stars Original review: Keep it simple crêpe! I was very disappointed in everything but the apple butter spread and the watermelon lemonade. I’ll pass on this place next time it comes up. 2 stars

Stopped here after a business meeting and the quaint atmosphere was perfect for a chat and lunch. Ordered salad and soup, which were both delicious, especially the tortilla soup. Thick, rich soup with sour cream. My coworker had the house salad with chicken. Fresh and filling. But the best part of our experience was our server Babs! She was the perfect complement to the small town Canandaigua experience.

WOW! Delicious!!! You have to come here! Savory and sweet crepes, nice portions and a great garden area. Their red pepper sauce was to die for. Go there. Just do it!

Loved the crepes here– all the ingredients are so fresh and blend beautifully in the crepes. Try the goat cheese and arugula!

Simple and awesome. Hands down the best place for brunch in the finger lakes. The samplings of savory and sweet crepes are out of this world. Everything is just awesome here at this place. Looking forward to going back.

Place is very clean, pleasant and friendly. But the food is terrible. Went back twice to make sure. Very expensive too. All crepes are a very sloppy mess, and either flavorless or taste nasty. Its a crêpe place. Locally produced cheese tastes like rubbery water. «specialty» coffee was cold, old, nasty. Fried pickles tasted like pickles and greasy crumbs. Fries, Gravy, Everything is Sooo tasteless. Real shame too. All that potential. Manager said he has never been to another crêpe place in his life. Could explain why he has no idea about how crepes should look and taste. NOTESWORTHMENTION: 1) Hot cocoa and Chai beverages were Excellent, 2) I didn’t order any meat(dont know if their meat is good) 3) Canandaiguans love it. But it’s probably because they too, have never been to another crêpe place. 4) I am writing this in the hopes that they will read it and do Better.

I went back. Only because my family was going and I was dragged along with them. I have added one star to my review. Let me tell you why. We did the brunch. It was actually pretty great. I think the best thing was the crêpe station, but since I don’t particularly like crepes I didn’t utilize that. The other food was decent, loved the little sandwiches thet had out. Lots of fresh fruit. Eggs. Bacon. General brunch fair. This was definitely WAY better than the savory crêpe entrée I ordered on my original trip. While I still don’t think this place is amazing, it’s not bad, and the brunch is good. Check it out for breakfast. Avoid most anything that is not breakfast related.

My wife and I decided to try a new place. I’d never had crepes before so I said let’s try here. When we arrived, parked on the street. It was a Monday morning. We walked in and we’re greeted quickly with a friendly person. Seated immediately and offered a sample of a local cider. It was 1911 and so we split a bottle(5.00). I asked what she recommended and for breakfast she said the eggs Benedict. It was a crêpe with thinly sliced ham, eggs and then pieces of bacon all covered in a white cheesy sauce. It was delicious.(9.99) She also suggested a side of home fries which were so fresh and delicious(3.99?) My wife wanted lunch and so the waitress recommended a crêpe cordon bleu. Lightly fried in panko bread crumbs over fresh spinach.(12.99) Overall we really enjoyed this place but the price was a little harsh. With tip tax etc it was 42.00 for brunch. A cider, 2 meals, 1 side and a small soup.

Simply Crepes is an above average place, for what there is to offer in Canandaigua. If you’re looking for something a little different, it’s great. Basically it’s crepes creatively designed into real meals(or desserts). I must say that the entrees — although they sound great — don’t impress me too much. But the desserts on the other hand(and the breakfast items, which are served all day) are phenomenal! Normally we go just for dessert. I can’t recommend a specific dessert crêpe because they are all so delicious. **Note: The dessert crepes come in 2 sizes! There’s not a huge difference between the sizes but it is notable. If you’re really hungry, you could eat a whole big one, but normally I side with the«petite.» If you forget to mention you want the smaller, you’ll automatically get the large, so don’t forget to tell your server! Lastly, the restaurant usually has very few people in it, so it’s nice and quiet.

I WASVERYDISAPPOINT how rudely My husband n I was treated. We got there 2:40 they told us they stopped serving at 230 We told them we came along way n the wbsite said, 3:00 they said sorry we walked out then amother couple wslkrd in n they seated them I was so insulted. I own a Resturant n would never have let my employee s treat a customer that way.

Love it here. Food is delicious! GF options also! Wish there was one closer. Fried pickles and buffalo chicken potatoes are my favorite apps. My husband love all the breakfast crepes. The berry brûlée is AWESOME. I also love the buffalo chicken wrap and the seafood wrap. AND the dessert crepes… any will do!

The food is good, the service is fine, the management is CRAP! (7÷13÷2014) I walked in with my wife and son on a Sunday afternoon at 2:20pm and was turned away because the manager said they were closed. This was the very first thing he said as I opened the door, by the way, as if he couldn’t wait to get out of there. I told him, «ok, but the website says 3pm.» He replied, «yes, that’s correct, but last seating is at 2/2:30.» My wife told him it was only 2:20 and he asked us if we were only planning on eating dessert. NOTHANKS. It’s a small town and this type of «service» just lost a repeat customer. Turning away customers almost a full hour before closing is pathetic. This manager needs to get his priorities straight.

Summary: Simply Crepes has a multitude of crêpe-y goodness in the form of breakfast, entrée, and dessert crepes. Cost: Sort of expensive. $ 10+ for a crêpe seems like a bit much, but for what it’s worth the portions are large. Taste: I had the Blueberry + Strawberry Dessert crêpe with Vanilla Ice Cream and Whipped Cream. My fiancée had a similar one, sans blueberry. The crêpe tasted fresh and was very refreshing. Atmosphere: It’s a cute little place! Waitress was nice enough. Overall: I haven’t had crepes in the US(was a big fan of Harajuku, Japan crepes), so it was pretty good. I think I prefer them Harajuku style, but these were darn good. If they weren’t so expensive we’d go more.
