Low expectations are key here. Our group was traveling by bicycle, so all we really needed were functional showers and beds. We got them, so I was satisfied. That said, there are some quirks to this place. Clearly the owners bought the building from some hotel chain that exited the town years ago. I’d estimate that transaction took place sometime in the early ’80’s, so expect dated décor. Randomly, our room contained a canopy bed and was painted blue, with three or four framed(water damaged) posters of angels. Wi-fi is free but pretty terrible. There really aren’t any other extras — not that any should be expected for the price. The affiliated restaurant is decent but not nearly as «world famous» as the owners claim everywhere, nor should it be. I will give them points for being bike-friendly — we were able to wheel in and wheel out easily. I don’t think there are any other options in this town. Given that, it could be a lot worse.
