I stopped eating here because of their almost «explicit» ads which I find offensive to women… and men and children. However, if you don’t, they make an ok burger for fast food.

I ordered a «Natural» burger with no lettuce, well, I kept changing my order. Maybe he didn’t like that?
Well, here’s what you do, You make the burger, you get rid of the bun, and then you completely wrap it in lettuce!
LOL!!!
I got home, opened it up, and, well, you just have to laugh!!!

ok — so it’s a fast food chain — 4 stars here is for a meal that costs less than $ 10, so if you are expecting white tablecloth, waiters, a full wine menu, you have a very different idea of what to expect for fast food. Everyone’s prices seem to be going up, I would think that Carl’s is probably on the high end… If you’re smart you will get the Big Hamburger and pay for the extras you want — it’s way cheaper than the rest of their offerings, just not quite as «fancy» (I know, an oxymoron for fast food, huh?)
it was too good to be true — they «parked» my car as I went through the drive through tonight — I wanted some more crisp burritos. I waited 8 minutes until I went inside to go get my food. That’s craptastic — if you send someone around to park because the food isn’t ready, you don’t have any excuse to let their food just sit once it’s done. boo. I’ve already waited longer than I should, you should get it out to be pronto. Next time I’ll just sit where I am at the window in your little drive through until you get me my food, that should help you expedite my order.
This Carl’s /​Green Burrito is one I go to often — it’s probably the closest place to where I live. The food is always served hot, they have never messed up the many orders I have placed and when you eat in, they bring you your food. I’ve always been met with cheerful staff.
I tried the BBQ nachos last night — weird idea, but they were really quite good. The jalapeño’s really spiced it up and I was happy. While a little more generous serving of the BBQ wouldn’t hurt, I walked in, they greeted me cheerfully, happily explained what this new offering was, took my order and then brought it out to me quickly. It was hot, it was delicious — what more could you ask for?
(It just feels wrong to give a fast food joint 5 stars, and like I said, it would have been better with more bbq).
Their breakfast burritos are the wife’s favorites — it’s sad that they are not offering any breakfast specials like Jack in the Box and some of the other places are offering. I was jazzed with their biscuits when they first came out but something doesn’t quite work as well as it did before.
I had the crispy burritos today for lunch and they are also very tasty. I feel like Carl’s has a wide selection that should appeal to almost any one. The fresh salsa bar is a big plus, so it would just be wrong to give it less than 3 stars, until they treated me like crap tonight, now it would be unjust to even give them 3 stars. On balance it is a 3 star place that didn’t do a great job that night

Food is ok, but water tastes like mold, they need to clean their water fountain. That is disappointing

I know, I know (as my now 13 year old nephew would say)…Reviewing a fast food restaurant and giving it 3 stars. Well, anytime I am in Oregon visiting my in-​laws, it is a given that we will come to the local Carl’s more times then I care to admit (or will check in).
This location is always clean, service friendly and also has Green Burrito. Most of the time, if I am not doing the cooking or planning other places for us to go, this is the default so I have had to learn what is decent and what to stay away from. I have been known to enjoy the Oreo ice cream sandwich and this trip have eaten the new taquitos twice (they are pretty good and remind me of what JITB used to have back in the 80’s).
Seriously though, if I had my way, it would not be fast food, but since I am not always in control, this Carl’s is ok.

Although, all Carls Juniors are the same…
I can get any hamburger made into a low carb burger. I can enjoy the mushrooms, and all the other burgery perks (yes burgery is not a real word) and feel fully satisfied by the end.
The criss cross fries are to die for… they are heavy on the grease, but always satisfy your fast food french fry needs.
You’ll leave two pounds heavier, and two pounds happier.

P. S. Im not so sure about the green burrito side of it all… I’ve tried it… and felt very dissappointed every time… so I stopped trying.
