Love this place. My family has been buying kites from them for 30 years. These guys are knowledgable and friendly.

Just had to write about the stellar example of customer service we got over the weekend at this little kite shop. We purchased a kite and, unfortunately, it had a manufacturing defect — nothing the shop could have known. Seeing signs posted everywhere about the free repairs, we stopped in to ask if they could fix it for us while we ate dinner. The shop was closing, but the attendant was SO nice: offered a new kite, offered to give money back, even took a kite down off the wall for us to try, instead. We insisted that this was good enough, but he even went above and beyond, writing down the shop’s number and insisting that we call in to get a new kite or money back if the replacement didn’t work. It worked perfectly, and we really appreciate the super kind treatment. This is how a shop should run — wonderful, kind, concerned service. A+

We had a kite(bought elsewhere) that was missing a spar. I stopped in for the part and they took the time to not only fix it — for free — but also to help set it up and offer some tips. They were so nice I bought two small kites for my kids. They flew great so great I went back and bought a stunt kite which they also helped set up and gave advice on. They just could not be nicer or more helpful.

This is my second time visiting Once Upon A Breeze in the last few years. I own multiple Kites of varying quality and makes that I have acquired over the years from various kite stores along the WA and OR coast. I wanted to fly my Prism Micron and needed a new graphite top rod. I asked the lady working if she could cut me a new one and set me up with some lines. She rudely said she does not«sell parts for that kite.» Confused, I walked over to the«kite hospital» portion of the store and saw multiple correct sized graphite rods and the tools needed to fix my kite. I again asked her nicely why she could not sell me the parts to fix the kite and once again I received the very rude«we do not work on Prism kites.» My fiancé and I were absolutely blown away by the entire experience. The employee could not have been more rude or unaccommodating. I wanted a simple piece that she had the capability of selling me, however she was rude and would not help me get my kite back in the air solely based on the make of the kite I happened to walk in with. Everyone I have dealt with up to this point in the kite industry has been EXTREMELY nice and willing to bend over backward to help. I cannot emphasize how much you should seek out the other kite stores in Seaside, Long Beach and Ocean Shores as my experiences with all of them have been nothing but pleasant and positive.

Once Upon a Breeze is a great little kite shop. I stopped in the other day to find a shop stuffed with different kinds of kites, and a very helpful shopkeeper. Prices were great, and they offer free repair of kites, regardless of where you purchased the kite in the first place! Definitely a place to visit if you’re looking for things to do in town.

Once upon a breeze(its the oldest kite store) rules. It’s not that I know a lot about Kiting, but when I hit the beach, I need two things: A kite and a stop at some sort of candy shoppe(yes, shoppe. Forget your shops, you fascists). A friend and I stopped in to buy a kite for her dad, and they had a wide range of prices and styles. I can buy a jellyfish or penguin kite for $ 15, that’s all I’ve ever needed.
