Nice place. Food is good, people are nice. Good atmosphere. Very busy weekend mornings so make you’re ready for a possible wait.

The food is great, and the service is great. I love that they have a fitness menu. It’s hard to eat the proper macros just anywhere. I love the home-y feel to the place. They even put the football game on. The parking lot isn’t TOO bad, makes it easier to come here. The OJ is freshly squeezes and there’s several types of hot sauces to choose from.

There should be an option for 0 stars. Walked up to the café only to have the rude employee shut the door on our faces because its closing time. Is that the only way you can communicate. ASSHOLEATITSBEST. He could’ve told us «we’re closed sorry» and we could’ve walked away like normal people but he showed his asshole rude ass behavior but shutting the door in our faces when we reached for the door and laughs from inside like haha. I bet the owner is proud of having idiots working for him and we’re never coming back. Looking at other reviews now I wouldn’t wanna go there anyways.

Food, wonderful. Staff, fantastic. This place is old school. great place to have breakfast with the family. This wonderful little gem has been in my backyard for quite some time I went to go check it out on Christmas Eve for breakfast. Try the Benedict eggs with the homemade sausage This place is like a true American type of dinner

…Not impressed. 1st ignored. 2nd asked 4 times before given water. 3rd given wrong order. 4th burnt toast. 5th charged extra for what was supposed to be a substitution and then we told that either way it would have been $ 3 more than on menu??? Food was average for a Denny’s. Service fail. Although food came quickly.

Came in with twin 7 year olds, we were the second party in line behind 2 guys. Seated right away, server brought crayons and a coloring page for each girl. .then never came back. Restaurant started getting busy, line at the door, I see other parties that came in after us being served. Walked out. never coming back.

The service was awesome. The food was below average. I ordered the eggs Benedict and they were below average. The bread was burnt and super dry. I suggest that the cook instead of popping the bread in the toaster it would be better if a little butter can be added and use the skillet instead. The omelet was overcooked. The service was great. Food below average and that’s why I gave 3 stars. I apologize if my review offends anyone.

Old time coffee shop. Great service. Great food. My goal is to be recognized and have a «usual» like many people here do.

We came here to try a new breakfast joint out. The environment is nice, staff is friendly, the food is good, but the chicken fried steak needs a little more flavor, it would be great if the chicken fried steak was made with rib eye steak, and if the gravy had sausage in there, that would really make the country fried steak the best in the valley. We also had the blueberry French toast which was delicious, it came with either bacon or sausage and eggs. I am only rating this place 4 stars due to the chicken fried steak needing a little improvement. But 5 stars for the service and the French toast.

On their game today! I love their coffee. Always really good not bitter like some places. And they have coffee mate vanilla creamer! I always get there two eggs any style with hash browns and toast. They get the over easy just right :) I always end up getting the male server with the hat. Always on top of filing my coffee. Bathrooms are always clean. Place is always busy. …yep

Went out in search of a café that served home cooked breakfast and that had excellent coffee– this place is definitely it! Food is fresh and served hot, service is way above average — constant coffee refills and our food was out super fast! Courteous servers that get you what you want in a hurry. Best diner coffee I’ve found yet in LA county! Hot sauce is home made, not generic pace picante– authentic all the way! Nothing fake or plastic tasting like you find at the chain breakfast diners. The price is very reasonable and the portions are large. Eggs cooked perfectly, Belgian waffles crispy on the outside yet soft & fluffy on the inside– perfect! I will definitely be a regular here!

Food is excellent when you get it. The service has slowed down as this place has grown in popularity. Front server is the worst. He only works for tips. Never checks back and drinks take forever. First time checking in as never had an issue eating here. Food was quick and service with a smile. Three stars because of the food but one star for the service.

This is my favorite bfast place in the valley! Come here as early as you can on weekends because this tiny gem gets über packed! The service might fall of on the low rating a bit but the food makes up for it! If the management spends a little money in getting their servers trained to a T and get a bigger parking lot? It would be perfect! But then again there’s no such thing but for me, with all nat’s flaws I feel they are a five star breakfast place. Their coffee and jam are my fave!

Great diner on Topanga. I recommend this place for breakfast if you want a good omelette or pancakes. It’s clean and the staff has been there for ages because everyone knew everyone. I need to be a regular here so they should out my name when I walk in like they did for Norm at Cheers. For breakfast, I ordered the breakfast burrito and I requested it to come out wet with sauce instead of the typical way breakfast burritos come. They also brought out their homemade salsa which was nice but what I really liked was that they had on the table Tapatio, Chollula, and the green & red Tabasco! The burrito was perfect. The potato to sausage ratio was just enough where they don’t compete for flavor on my buds. It wasn’t too salty which I prefer because I douse my food in hot sauce which usually has a lot of salt already. The size was just enough for a burley guy like me without killing my lunch appetite. In all, this is a great place to come and enjoy your breakfast while reading the news or conversing with a friend.

Came for breakfast while my car was in the shop. This is a true diner. I felt like I had stepped into a Midwest diner. A lot of locals here. A big variety on the menu. Much better than the Denny’s option across the street. I had the Vegetarian Omlette with home fries and sour dough toast with an iced tea. Everything was very good! The jam was sitting in containers with spoons in them at the table. It gives you that home kitchen feel, but it grosses me out to think of what the people before you could have done with the spoon that keeps going back into the same glass jar. The service really needs improvement here. There were a lot of waiters but they seem very unorganized. No one ever checked on me and I was there for an hour. Killing time while my car was being worked on. Bathrooms were clean and smelling good. I would def come back though if in the area.

10x better than denny’s 10x better than IHOP. Still, nothing to write home about though. Service was fine(I sat at the bar). The food was simple and hearty like any good diner. It’s good to see one-off diners like this come back and get patronage. All that Denny’s and IHOP craze tend to have their own following, but you won’t get the service and attention at D’s or IHOP as you’d get here.

As far as no frills diners go, this is a good one. I was in the area waiting for my car to be worked on and needed to kill some time. A quick search of breakfast options on Unilocal led me here. It was crowded on a Friday morning and folks were waiting, but I got a solo seat at the counter. After scanning some pictures on Unilocal I decided on the FRENCHTOASTWITHTWOEGGS. It comes with three thick slices of french toast dusted with powdered sugar and warm maple syrup on the side. I got my eggs scrambled. I also added a couple of sides — an ENGLISHMUFFIN and ½ an AVOCADO. Hearty, non-greasy and cheap. Would definitely come back when I take my car in for service.

The wait time was about 10 – 15 minutes long on a Saturday morning. Our server didn’t really check on our table like a regular restaurant should. I notice the busboy being very efficient. He actually refilled our water cups more than the waitress checked up on us. The restaurant is small and the table — I hate the setup of the tables. The food was great but, not excellent. I don’t know if I got the wrong plate or not. I felt like my plate needed more flavor. The portions of the food were great, for an average food junkie like myself. I will return for their lunch specials and see what the fuzz is all about.
