I agree with Mike P. You are insane to have this rated with 3 stars. Patience is a virtue here, but well worth the wait. The food is AMAZING and the staff is Super friendly. I’ll definitely be dining here again.

ok, so this is my 1st time here for the lunch. My husband and I have been thinking to try out their lunch platters for a long time and finally decided to go. The platters are expensive for what they serve you in that. Variety-2pts, quantiy– 2pts. flavor/aroma/taste– 1.5. The biryani tasted like steamed rice with veggies. no aroma no flavor no spices!!! It came with paneer and dal. the quantity was less than what you will get for a $ 5 thali! Their North Indian food is good, which I have already reviewed before, but Lunch platters and biryani(what they are actually famous for) i a big NOOOOOOOOOO!

I love this place and I was thinking why it has such low reviews. My most recent visit sums it up. The place was half filled when we first arrived. The interior décor is great! The place is clean and we’ll kept. The ambience is okay not great. Coming to the cons. This is a very unprofessional place with no concept of customer service but with good biryani. I am from Hyderabad and I crave Indian hyderabadi biryani and this place is the closest to a decent biryani is the LA area. I tried vegetable dishes before but was disappointed. When you step into the restaurant they never greet you. They take you to your seat. You order your food and then they never come back to you. If you do not call them they don’t even get you the check if they are busy. Just go to the front to pay. Unfortunately the last time I asked for goat biryani, it came to me cold. Common, how can you serve a customer cold rice, it goes against all decent hospitality. It did taste good though but I was pretty pissed. Also the food is slightly overpriced. Anyways if you don’t mind a crappy service and you want a decent tasting biryani go to this place. And if you are not unlucky like me it will come to you hot or at least decently warm.

The briyani is good and food taste good. But the restaurant is not family friendly for kids particularly for dinner. There are lot of people drinking and noise level is high. But food is good definitely recommend if you like briyani.

Have been going to this place for 3 yrs n was in love with this place till recently they changed their chef i suppose or management changed. I called them and checked when they close the restaurant and the answer was 10:30 so i drive almost 30 miles n reach at 10:05 and guess what the guy at the couter simply refuses and says he can’t serve us food. When i asked him why he didn’t say this on phone he had no answer. NEVERGOINGBACKAGAIN.

I had cravings for Indian food that too Hyderabadi food. So one of my friend suggested me this restaurant. The ambiance is good, but the food tastes bad, too spicy, too expensive and quantity very less. I will not try this again.

This place is good, with some indian dishes that are unique. If you like spicy and I mean spicy food, you must try this place. The looks of the place leave much to be desired, the staff do their best and are friendly, and the food is good. You might find yourself with a little bit of a craving, I ended up coming here every week for two months. My fav… Apollo fish. Go check it out.

Probably the best biryani in LA. Place is so good. Though decorations and ambiance could use a little work. The food and service is great.

This restaurant is well overrated not to mention over priced. The food quality isn’t that good compared to restaurants outside of Canoga Park. Sadly I’ve ordered The Organic chicken plate and it was terrible… 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant i felt like throwing up… I’ll never go there again. This is an Edit… 1 hour has past since i left the restaurant and my stomach still hurts so bad…

The food was very good. They mixed their spices very well and nothing was overpowering in terms of flavor or over saucing. We had an assortment of dishes and everything was tasty. My favorite was the Tandori Chicken, it was amazing. Also, their flagship Biryani Chicken entrée was excellent too. I’d return again if I was in Woodland Hills area and in the mood for an Indian dinner.

Reliving some of my indian biriyani memories ! The staff is very friendly. Try their naan with Dum Ka Murg(Chicken) or Dum ka ghost(lamb) !

I had the Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani and liked it — not often that I get to have biryani in the US. Apollo Fish Manchurian was good but I like it more crispy.

I have lived over 15 years in Hyderabad where Paradise Biryani point began, and I can say that the food here tastes great! The service here was awesome too. If there was another one closer to LA city, that would be splendid! :)

An Indian colleague of mine recommended this place as having the best biryani in town. I ordered the non-veg lunch platter with chicken biryani and I thought the biryani itself was at best 3 stars. Everything else on the plate was probably 2 stars. I think this hits the spot if you are craving biryani as there aren’t many other options to choose from, but in no way would I recommending driving from far just to eat at this restaurant.

Ordered boneless chicken biryani, the curry that came with it was authentic but the biryani itself was not up to the mark, the chicken in the biryani was fried and the price did not have much flavor to it. Maybe the regular biryani is better, but the boneless chicken biryani is not great. Mango lassi was pretty good and very good service.

2.5 stars with 41 reviews? rather unfortunate. This is one of the precise reasons for me to actively contribute on Unilocal. Some restaurants just don’t get the due and this one falls in that category. I have been to their restaurants in New Jersey on Oak Tree road, The one in Artesia and this one on Topanga. Suckers for Spicy South Indian Cuisine, this is the place to be. They specialize in Biryani. Its a dish the Mughals brought to India. it underwent multiple customizations across different parts of India. The point i am trying to make is: the Biryani from Hyderabad(Southern part of India) will be very different to the one you might perhaps eat at New Delhi(India’s capital) Biryani Pointe specializes in the Hyderabadi Biryani. its rice cooked over meat. Usually chicken or lamb. But it is the amalgamation of various spices(Pepper, dalchini(Cinnamon), dagadphool(star anise), khada masala bada elaichi(cardamom), cloves, bay leaves with meat and cooked over Basmati rice makes it a very popular dish in India as well globally. They also have Veggie(Egg) biryani for non meat lovers. The Biryani is seasoned with green chillies. It is served with Mirchi ka salan with is basically Mirchi(chilli) cooked in a special masala curry and this dish belongs to Hyderabad. They are definitely able to extract the flavor and the biryani is excellent. Please try and thank me later. They also have other chicken and goat dishes: I especially love their Chettinad Goat — another cuisine from the south of India. The goat is cooked with bones and marinated and served over Chettinad curry, delicious and spicy!!! you eat it with rice or the Rotis. Please do try if you are in a mood to try something other than your usual«Chicken Tikka Masala and naan bread» Very unfortunate stereotyping of Indian food in this part of the world. They have limited parking behind the restaurant and there is street parking as well. So go out try new stuff. Enjoy your biryani. Do let me know what you think

It’s like a haven for people longing to have biriyani and esp non veg Indian food. Of course this is nowhere near the actual paradise biriyani in Hyderabad but at least you get to taste some yummy dishes. Of all the biriyanis served at the restaurants in the nearby localities, I definitely would vouch for this one. Though it is over priced, it shouldn’t matter much for once a week hogging ! The pepper goat fry, the tandoor chicken are my favs. The platter is reasonably priced. All the main dishes are served within a price that is affordable. The quantity of biriyani served is quite enough(at least for a woman) On the whole… It’s good but can improvise in many ways

Came for lunch! My brother and I ordered chicken biryani and apollo fish. Both were not upto the mark. No butter or ghee in the biryani which is one of the most essential ingredient of it! The taste was bland. Couldn’t even taste the spices properly. The chicken was cooked well but it still has raw taste! Apollo fish was a disaster. Dissatisfied. But at the end I ordered mango lassi which was the only good thing here. The service was not good.
