I’d prefer to give this place a no star review. I was charged an additional $ 150.00 once I had made it back home to Denver, and I contacted the hotel to try and dispute these false charges. The lady at the front desk had the IQ of maybe 50 and was damn near impossible to communicate with. I got a call back from a manager today the following Monday about it and he stated that we had smoked in a non smoking room. This is absolutely absurd. Yes, I smoke, but to me its absolutely disgusting to smoke indoors anywhere. My nephew and I stayed there for 4 nights while we were out of town doing a job. My nephew had cut open a cigar wrap and emptied the UNSMOKED tobacco into the bathroom wastebasket. That is the only«proof» they had to mention, other than the room smelled of cigarettes. THEWHOLEGODDAMNED place smells of cigarettes! Every night after work we got there it smelled like an alley in Las Vegas. I disputed these charges with the«manager» and he stated that they were standing firm on their charge. I told him I stand firm on honesty and justice. I just finished filing a complaint with the BBB to help assist me in getting my money back from these thieves. If you absolutely have to even be near Canon City, do yourself a favor and sleep in your car. This whole experience was a nightmare. I hope to nbever come back to this town, and if for whatever reason I have to, I would rather sleep in a dumpster.

Our second quality inn stop for chile festival weekend. Since we couldnt get a hotel for saturday in pueblo, canon city was the next best option. The hotel itself is a little outdated but has great amenities outdoor pool was still open, onsite bar, breakfast, and indoor jacuzzi’s. The room was a little small, television did not turn on but who goes on a getaway to watch tv nbd. Everything was clean and comfortable. The only bummer was I guess there was a wedding reception so the bar was closed and theres not too many places close by this hotel. Breakfast was okay however everything was a mess and they had ran out of quite a few things. I gave this location 3 stars because the staff was very nice and helpful just a few kinks to get worked out.

My Mom and I stayed at the Quality Inn Canon City, Co. this weekend. The staff was so helpful and friendly. We even slept in the Room Goldie Hawn had previously stayed inn. Christina in the Lounge made me creative and amazing cocktails.

My family of ~25 stayed here for 3 night and were well taken care of. Pros: I never smelled smoke near my room. The pool goes from 3′-5′ which was great for our young kids. There is a separate spa room with 2 hot tubs so the adults didn’t have to be surrounded by noisy little ones but could still keep an eye on them. The rooms were well-maintained. Several have a sliding glass door out to the parking area which I found quite convenient. The restaurant had good specials and was quite tasty. Price was about what one would expect at a hotel. Pool tables and a couple arcade games available. Vending was reasonably priced. Breakfast was mostly satisfying. Coffee in the lobby 24⁄7. Cons: The carpet tacks by our room entrance and bathroom door often snagged my socks or poked my feet. Understaffed on weekdays. Checking in on Sun-Thu can involve quite a wait since there’s only 1 employee at the desk. Breakfast – eggs were cold and no yogurt.

Got there at 4:30(they said I could check in at 3 on the phone) only to be told my room wasn’t ready. Everyone checking in was getting the same story too, maybe they were short staffed that day, but I would hope a fully booked hotel would have their act together on a Saturday afternoon. The hot breakfast would have been nice if they hadn’t ran out of scrambled eggs at 8:00 and refused to make more. The room was clean, although in need of some remodeling, and the staff was friendly. I saved $ 20 with my confirmation number from the royal gorge route train, so that helped with the price. Oh, and the free wifi… we were on the far end of the hotel and it did not work!

Checking in is a nearly impossible task at this Quality Inn. While staying here for Ride the Rockies, we attempted to get checked in at this hotel when we arrived at noon but were turned away because the room that was assigned to us(aka blocked) was not ready. This is an event hotel so they had advance notice there would be a large number of guests arriving for months, so you can imagine our surprise when we couldn’t check in. We were patient, however, and waited until after 3(when check in becomes available according to hotel policy, but struck out again. The staff were not helpful or accommodating and It wasn’t until we demanded the assistant general manager(MIA the emotive time) take action that the cleaned and ready rooms were provided to the guests who were already waiting in a line leaving out the door. If you consider checking into a hotel a basic necessity to staying in one, you’d better move to the next hotel in town. Don’t expect help from the Asst GM as he or she will be busy leaving his staff to not-handle the situation. Room is as expected.

Checked in here only because it is pet friendly. Even though they charge you an extra $ 10 per dog per night. I figured since it is a chain it would be decent, but it’s not… the building smells old and awful. The room is gross. The carpet is peeling up and stained. The sliding glass door does not lock, so they provide a stick to keep it shut, the screen door is completely busted and flapping in the breeze. The TV is so grainy and fuzzy on every channel, the paint in the shower is peeling up, and the bed is hard. The landscaping is well maintained, but we did walk to the back of the building to exercise the dogs and discovered the dryer vent from the laundry room. It was so filthy and there was a huge mound of lint, looked like a snow pile, probably a big fire hazard and it smelled awful. Would definitely not stay here again… this place needs a huge makeover! Not worth the $ 100 :(

We normally like QIs. However, we were very disappointed in this one. Room smelled really bad of some type cleaning fluid/disinfectant. Wifi was worthless. Will not go again. Also room was pricey and needed a lot of work.
