This joint is going downhill. The fad for Mongolian style food is over. The rice is a hit or miss.

Not your mothers stir fry. I have been here a lot over the years and have my own go-to recipe. My wife does the same. This is consistently good food, prepared the way I like and with the ingredients I find tasty. **I will say that my most recent visit was troubling for my wife. She had ribeye in her meal and could not get it cooked to her liking. She sent it back to the grill 2 times, and both times was undercooked to her liking. She ended up not eating it. Fortunately, the manager comped her meal.

Wow! Is all I can say! I love this place. They have the best damn stir fry this side of the mississippi. Tell you what, these guys at Mongo make a great dinner! I can stuff my face with their food weekly. I blame them for my rapid weight gain ive experienced lately. My only gripe is that it aint cheap. expect to spend about 50 for two people to enjoy a couple drinks, unlimited bowls and fried oreos. PROTIPS: –Wear a hoodie or jacket to hide your eggs in while filling your bowl –Use soup cups instead of sauce cups for extra sauce = more flavor! –Noodles/etc on the bottom of your bowl, then pack the meat up to the ceiling!!! –Come extremely hungry! –Fried oreos are a must.

Very sketchy atmosphere. The floors, tables, walls were filthy. Food remnants everywhere with not one staff member attempting to clean up. The serving lines where you select your food items for grilling were disgusting and various meats were mixed from people not paying attention to where they placed the serving utensils. Staff never cleaned up that area but simply came by to dump more items from containers that they carried from the back room. No Management seemed visible and staff seemed to do whatever they wanted instead of cleaning the dining and food prep areas. The waitresses seemed over-worked with little help while others simply stood around. This place has really fallen down hill. I won’t be back.

Awesome food, great staff! Please do something with your sriracha chicken, the chopped chicken that your are currently using looks disgusting. Have you actually looked at it? Other than that, great job. Your staff is great.

The food was very good however, the restaurant isn’t kept very clean. When customers left the dirty dishes sit on the tables for long periods of time and food that fell on the floor wasn’t cleaned up until closing time. This was my 2nd time visiting this particular location and both times my experience was the same… disappointing. I would definitely suggest that people visit another location instead of this one if you want a clean, well kept restaurant.

Lately, I’ve been finding myself eating here for whatever reason. I ignored this chain for many years, and in the past few months, this is my third location that I’ve eaten at. After reacquainting myself with the chain, I find that it’s actually pretty good despite the few flaws that I’ve found along the way. For starters, they have a decent menu selection. Obviously, their signature and most popular item is the grill with the make your own bowl of food thing. For as much as I love it, I have a few qualms about it as I think it needs some tweaking. On the positive side, the food bar is flush with choices of most anything you could eat and make to eat. Chicken, beef, seafood are the standards here, along with items that are also pre seasoned as well. Several types of plain chicken along with seasoned chicken as well, along with other dishes as well. To many to list in this review, but you get the point. The downside of the bar? No recipe cards or ideas. They had 3 seasonal dishes taped to the glass that you could look at, but that was it. They really need to have cards either at the table at the bar so you can try something aside from what’s posted. Back in the day when I used to go here, they had that, but seemed to have stopped doing it for whatever reason. I can cook, but new ideas would probably keep me coming back for more. I’m the one that either puts to much spice and burns my mouth or not enough and the food comes out bland. Ratios of how much spices and sauce to use would be awesome. Also, they have a salad and soup bar that was here as well. While everything here seems and looks fresh and well kept, a better selection would be great as well. A selection of veggies would be great. Also, I’m very happy with the menu selection as a whole. Next time I come here I think I’m going to skip the bar thing and go with something off the menu. They have some great looking appetizers along with other dishes as well that seemed to have grabbed my attention. Service here was attentive and we were satisfied all around during our visit. It can get a bit loud and hot in here, but we don’t mind. Lot’s of families with small children were here which we loved as well. Great looking bar from what I could tell, and an overall positive experience.

Meh. That’s all I can say to describe it. The stations were pretty gross. Cross contaminated food, sticky counters, out of chopped peanuts, etc… I wanted to leave, and take the family elsewhere, but the kids really had their hearts set on eating there. Our waitress was really nice. There’s a few similar joints in the area that are much better.

Came in for a carry out bowl today 05÷28÷15 the food bar looked great everything was clean but when I got up to the grill that’s when things went bad. the counter was sticky the napkins looked dirty the grill was definitely too hot so all the food would just burn. the grillers were my biggest issue though, soooo not at their best, I seen one almost put the wrong sauce on someone’s food until they were corrected by the guest, idk why but they had no sense of urgency. Almost all the spots were full and they were just taking their sweet ass time letting guests food burn. I used to work at mongo for over a year so I understand how busy it gets some times but this was a Thursday evening… Come on now. Sadly this was the worst food I’ve ever had there not only was what I cooked on the grill burned but I even ordered fried rice and it was covered in little black speckles telling me they haven’t cleaned the grill in the back either. Honestly I couldn’t even eat my food because it was so dreadfully cooked. I’m totally disappointed.

For me this is probably one of the only nationwide chains that I find myself eating at. Typically we only go for our club mongo free birthday bowl and when they get new stuff in the build your bowl section. This location is hit or miss for me. I have been when the build your bowl portion is a disaster and things need to be refilled, but this time particularly everything looked like it was just set out and untouched(we just got there at 5p so that could be why). Really they should have glowing reviews, because it’s your own fault if you make a bad bowl. It would seem that every time I go to this location there is some glaring issue. In the past it was cleanliness of the bowl bar or bathrooms, but this time it was the first waitress we had. The host sat us in the section by the bar, and there were two boys playing loudly with chopsticks and yelling at each other. They didn’t have any food nor a parent with them so we asked our waitress to be moved to another part of her section where the boys wouldn’t be a bother. Her attitude was so bad she gave us a dirty look. Then rolled her eyes and told us to go back talk to the host. Then she stalked away. I couldn’t believe how rude she was. The rest of our experience was great when we moved to another waitress’ section. From the window where we sat we say the boys leave with the man the rude waitress was talking and laughing with at the bar. I really think that they were HER kids. And if that were true you should be able to control them to some degree. Anyways. Get the ribeye with chili garlic sauce! Yummy.

Wonderful food. We started off with our first bowl… talk about filling. .CORONARITA is the bomb. We ended this meal with vanilla bean cheesecake, not really much to talk about. Over all I say go with the drinks and one bowl of food. I was happy to see a female cook. She was very skilled. We were served by Joseph Z. He was fabulous. Very vast menu knowledge.

Always a fan of mongolian BBQ. I had not been to one in years, so there were some changes. Although I understand why they don’t keep the bowls at the start of the line anymore, it can get annoying when you have to wait for one. The spice selection has dwindled quite a bit since I was last there. However, the sauce selection is much larger than before. I didn’t venture outside of my usual soy and terriyaki combo, but I was intrigued by some of the options available.

The staff at BD’S is exceptional especially Stephanie the bartender. Laurie the gm is very helpful. Joe, Eddie and Julian are top notch grillers. Always such a good variety of food. You could go there everyday for a year and have something different. They even have a sit down menu now.

Great staff! They were hustling and polite and enjoyed what they are doing. ONLY mark against is the price keeps going up. Unlimited should be $ 12 – 13 or so and not $ 17. The promos they do run are not exactly worth racing in for. That being said — making your own stir fry and enjoying your experience is definitely worth it.

Unless you’ve recently crawled out of a hole you’ve been hiding in for the past 15 years, this place requires very little description or concept summarization. When it’s my night to pick the restaurant, I’m picking Mongolian BBQ9 times out of 10. That being said, I would like to give this place 5 stars but I can’t bring myself to do that so they get 4. I’m pretty sure that a couple of my hangups have nothing to do with this location specifically and more to do with corporate decision making, but there’s one thing about this location that drives me insane. I am likely the exception to the norm so they get a free pass. The grillers here must be entertaining to most, as nothing promotes continued behavior like past reinforcement of said behavior. Grown men screaming their own rendition of Disney tunes is not aesthetically pleasing to my ears, but it still tolerable when dining in. It’s infuriating when it’s your to go order and 50% of it falls off the grill because someone decided to stir your meal right as their solo was coming up. Their prices have taken a pretty steep hike lately, and for a while there I had to boycott their giant chunks of extremely yellow pineapple, but my meal the other day was actually the best part of my day when I discovered they went back to the good stuff. I swear I’m not a prude who hates Disney and fun, and I’m still really happy about the old pineapple being back — so much in fact but I just bumped my rating up to 5 stars. If I hear the wrong lyrics to my favorite Aladdin song ever again, this goes down to a 2.

Yay! I’m a fan Great staff. I love the fact that you can pick out your own ingredients for your stir fry. I usually make a seafood one with shrimp, scallops, and fish and a ton of veggies. The best sauce for seafood is the chili sauce. I add garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes to it. I love spicy and the flavor bomb of this combo. Ah-mazing. If you hate onions in your stir fry, this place is your ish. You never have to have an onion in your stir fry, ever again. The soup and salad bar now comes free with your stir fry now. #Bonus The kicker though, is they have Coke Freestyle now. I went for the Mello Yello mixed with grape. I was not disappointed.

The kids love to come and make their own stir-fry, and try new items — who knew my 8 year old loves tofu? Choose your meats and veggies — skip the noodles — as others have said there is rice and tortillas aplenty on the table. I like to double up on the sauce — either 2 sauce bowls or a soup bowl will do — it seems a little dry with any less. Mix your sauces — experiment — have fun, if you hate it, start over!

I had heard of BD’s, but had never tried it until last night. Really cool place. Despite the great food, the thing that really impressed me was how nice all the staff were. I went in and sat at the bar. The waitress asked for my drink order and then asked if I wanted rice or tortillas. I was completely puzzled by this question and explained I had never to there before and I wasn’t qute sure what the drill was. She then explained to me the system of picking out rice or tortillas, fililng up a bowl of vegetables and meat and sauces and then having the chef grill it. I was a little aprehensive as to how much to put in my bowl. It’s kind of hard to judge how much chicken you want when it’s raw and cut in little pieces. I made my best effort to guess how much I wanted and addded fresh broccoli, tomatoes, and onions as well as a side of the garlic chile sauce. They have almost any topping/side you may want for stir fry, fajitas or pasta. The chef quickly grilled my masterpiece and I was ready to enjoy. It was delicious and thankfully I had correctly guessed how much I could eat yet have room for dessert… a peanut butter bistro cake. The cake was delicious and filling, but wasn’t what I expected. I thought it would be a warmed/baked cake, but was really a generous portion of a chilled peanut butter mousse with crumbled peanut butter cups on top. It was a great deal for $ 2.75. I enjoyed my first experience at at «create your own stir fy» restaurant. The food was fresh and a good price and the staff were great! I highly recommend!

Mongo’s is my Favorite Stir Fry, and one if the few places I feel comfortable to dine alone. And even better place to bring a friend! I suggest sitting at the Bar for the absolute Best Service! The Cooks offer entertainment while preparing your Food and the entire staff will always greet you with a Smile!

This was the first restaurant that I ate at when I came to Canton. Everyone said that it was a fun place but I found it messy and expensive. I’m glad that I didn’t have to pay the first time. Since I have been living in Canton for two years, it’s not on my radar. If you want better Chinese food, go to China House.
