Very good coffee in a quaintly decorated, comfortable space with a decent menu to boot. I like this place better than the nearby(and overpriced) Euro-chic Dom’s. The laid back staff and décor are much more fitting to the location in the very New Englandy Farmington Valley.

I just had one of the best latte’s ever. I had given up coffee last year and I was driving buy and just really wanted a coffee. I am so happy I stopped in. If you’re going to fall off the wagon this is the place to do it:) It totally hit the spot and I didn’t get that horrible stomach pain I use to get when I drank D&D coffee. Great service and a very comfortable environment!

This is the best coffee I have had in the history of ever. I wish I could GIV more stars! :) My husband and I enjoy everything they offer: hot and cold coffee beverages, pastries and their ground coffee beans. Every. Single. Thing… we have had has been a flavor party. The coffee is perfectly made and has no chemical tastes or flavors. It’s never burnt and is always absolutely delicious. The folks who work there have always been super nice. Oh! And I can’t forget, you can buy a local milk there that they also use in their coffee. The milk is wonderful as well. Keep up the good work, guys!

The café is clean sleek classy. With hip, and unique décor. This café is made for anyone. A student, business meeting, or just a quick bite with friends and family. The concept is genius. Fresh everything. Ice green tea was amazing. Made per order right in front of me. Which I love! Thanks to Unilocal I found this place. I love this place.

Great little coffee shop to sit down and unwind some while gawking out the windows. Coffee was good and my raspberry Danish kicked butt. Place was clean and the people behind the counter were friendly and courteous.

I’d been buying coffee from Jeff and Emily before they opened the shop. Best coffee ever!

Love this place. Great coffee, fair prices, and they do their own roasting. The people here are very friendly and the place is clean. It’s a great place to stop to avoid the chaos and cheapness you find in chain coffee stores.

Easily the best coffee roaster we have tried in the Hartford area. Lightyears ahead of any other place in Avon or Canton. Only the coffee at J. Renee comes close but that’s where Giv’s friendliness and the skills of their baristas wins out. Our only complaint is that they’re not open on Sundays.

I want to love this place, I really do! But I can’t. I waited for months for them to open, excited that we were getting a local roaster where I could support a Canton business. The atmosphere is nice, the service is friendly and helpful – but the coffee is just BAD – and crazy expensive. They charge $ 12+ for 12 ounces of bitter coffee – (so more than $ 16+ for a pound) and it’s not even organic! Please lower the prices and figure out where your roasting is going wrong. I would LIVE in there.

Love this place! The coffee is fresh and they have an amazing variety of coffee which you can not find anywhere else. The staff is very friendly and they are very knowledgable of what they are selling. You can go in there and get great coffee(much better than any name brand coffee chain) and not spend a lot. I alway enjoy coming here. The only negative critique I can make about GIV Coffee is they are not open on Sundays. However I do understand everyone deserves to have Sunday off. If your in Canton and in the mood for great coffee, this is the place to go.

I really enjoyed Giv Coffee and I’m glad I happened to stumble upon it. It’s located on the lower level of what used to be a house and they roast their own coffee right inside. The inside is a tad small — they have a few tables and 2 comfy chairs to sit in if you want to hang out and sip your coffee. I got a regular cup of coffee which was delicious and they helped me pick which one based on my flavor preferences and my husband got a pour over which he very much enjoyed! They do have a small selection of baked goods on the counter as well as different kinds of ‘pies.’ From what I heard the guy tell another person they are like a pocket of sorts — they had both breakfast and savory ones however we did not try these. Overall we really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back!

This place is the real deal. As someone who has ordered coffee from many of the best small batch roasters in America, I can vouch that the very small batch roasting here is second to none. I highly recommend buying beans from this well run small business. You will not be disappointed.

The barista this morning(not sure of his name?) made me the most delicious honey latte ever. I just moved back east from Seattle and this latte made me very nostalgic… it was SO dang good!!! From the consistency of the frothed milk to the ratio of flavors, it was all around perfect.

I come to Giv coffee about 3 times every week, they have the best lattes nearby and it’s a wonderful treat after physical therapy! The place inside is tastefully decorated and has a wonderful atmosphere! I’m never disappointed

Cute, homey ambiance with friendly service. Excellent espresso and pastries. The hot chocolate could use some more chocolaty-ness.

Your order: A large cold brew latte, not too much ice. The reason: it is absolutely delicious and not as much ice allows you to get every drop worth in this cup of coffee. I have only tried a couple of cold brews from different shops, but Giv’s hands down gives you the best, with the perfect portion of milk. No sugar or syrups are needed. At all. Do not detract from the outstanding taste by adding anything. You’re welcome. Giv gives, which I love, with two dollars of each bag of coffee beans bought going toward individuals in need. The owners make sure to purchase fair trade beans so coffee farmers are paid what they should for their crops. Though I was not completely sold the first time I stopped in, I gave Giv another chance and have found one of the best cups of coffee around. When I first visited, I tried a mocha and found it to have way too much syrup. I was shy to try anything else, thinking I only really liked coffee with a flavor. I loved the comfortable atmosphere of the shop, with big chairs and a high top counter looking at the roaster. I was impressed by the kindness of the barista – who actually brought my mocha right to me at the bar at the roaster room’s window. I wanted to like everything about Giv, but, at the time, I left thinking perhaps this shop is better for just plain coffee and not a sweetened version. I had not been back for a couple of months. Until today. I now have no idea why I did not come back sooner. After seeing a picture of the cold brew latte on Instagram and reviews noting the cold brew was good, I decided to try again, keeping in mind the plainer coffee thought. When I walked into the shop this afternoon, I was met by a heavenly fragrance. Fresh beans were being roasted right in the shop. The barista was extremely friendly and served up my cold brew latte quickly. My only problem with it: there was slightly too much ice. I did not realize I would love it so much until my cup of almost all ice was empty. It has left me wanting more. It was perfect in flavor and was not too heavy. Perfect deliciousness. I was able to sip while watching a barista sat at the roaster while the beans were being worked to perfection. Thank you, Giv, for making me a cold brew latte addict. I will admit that I am. I do not intend to get another from anywhere but Giv now, so owners of and baristas at Giv – take note: I will be back, soon, and repeatedly. Get that cold brew ready for me.

Awesome friendly place! Got a yummy iced chai late today. Stopped by on the way to the Ace Hardware store. This place has very relaxed comfortable furniture too! I would love to come back again and try one of the meat pies.

It has more soul than the corporate cookie cutters, less folksiness than Coffee Trade and less Euro glitz than Dom’s. It is positioned squarely in the center of your Farmington Valley coffee options, and that isn’t a bad thing at all. I had a nice breakfast here today. A terrific cup of coffee, a cup of cereal/granola with yogurt and honey, and a cranberry chocolate scone. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. The dining room is very nice and comfy. And my coffee was terrific. But unexpectedly, the star of my morning was that scone. I’ve had enough of these over the years to expect some dense and chewy mass that is half door-stop and half paperweight. But, man oh man was this one great. They get their dough from the New England Pasta Shop and bake them here. It was light and delicate and a far cry from the usual flattened shot puts of a scone I see far too often. It was a pleasure spending a half hour here today.
