Smokers outside the door is a major problem. Really enjoy the store. Service is great. Lattes are consistent. However, there is a smoking area about 20 feet outside the door. Every time the door opens smoke cones in and it is a busy store. Regardless of where one is seated inside the smoke is noticeable. Today I had to leave because of it. If they could move the smokers to a place farther away from the door so this didn’t happen it would be 5 stars. Until then 3.

Starbucks can be found all over the country and are pretty much carbon copies of each other. This one is no exception and would rate 3 stars, as it meets our expectations for a chain coffee shop.
However, during out visit we requested two Komodo dark roast pour overs and were told that they would not open a bag of Komodo. Rather the Christmas blend was open and that she could do a pour over with that but why bother since it was already brewed. Excuse me? Anyone that knows anything about coffee, and I’m pretty sure a batista should, knows a pour over gives a much richer flavor. Are you familure with customer service and that the customer is always right? Our request was not outrageous and has been fulfilled by many batista at Starbucks around the country. We left wondering why the pour over filters were even on the counter (3 ft behind the cashier)?

I get decaf Frappucinos here in the summer, I come here a lot, as this is my favorite Starbucks. Tonight my coffee was unknowingly regular and not decaf. By that time, I had consumed half of it. I am on heart meds and have hypertension and a rare lung condition, which is why I drink decaf, with zero problems. For some reason Starbucks decaf espresso or coffee does not affect me and cause insomnia. BUT, Baristas MUST be careful not to screw that up or they can end up killing people. I was up all night, with what felt like gasoline coursing through my veins. Not a happy camper. One night with no sleep throws off the whole week of sleep for me and can cause serious health implications as my weak immune system needs rest to heal and fight off germs. PLEASE DO NOT MESS MY COFFEE AGAIN!

Tons of space! Good ambiance. Hot coffee!
I stopped by here before a morning appointment in Avon and was very impressed! This location doesn’t look like much from the road (strip plaza), but the interior has lovely tall ceilings and a lot of natural light coming in from the storefront. There’s a ton of different seating options too — this store boasts ample square footage.
Despite being a busy morning, I still managed to find a comfy seat by the (unfortunately unlit) fire. I also appreciate the free wifi and a copy of the Hartford Courant available by my side.
Because this location is in a strip mall, there’s loads of parking. And there’s lot of other shopping options nearby as well, if you are running other errands too.

Went in to get a venti pike. They ran out half way thru my pour and offer a mix with another. I didn’t mind as I needed my morning brew. As a «sorry» they offered my next cup on them. They didn’t have to do that.

I can’t say that Starbucks is the best coffee in the world, but it is always there for you, which is nice when you travel a lot. This is my home Starbucks and still the best I’ve seen. Comfortable, and clean, what stands out is that the employees are ALWAYS nice and [my] drinks are always correct. I wish all locations were this good.

Yeah it’s another 5-​star review for this place. I know it’s not artisan coffee, but I’ve had artisan and I just don’t find the time or need to seek out coffee shops when I want a cup. Plus, regular coffee hardly touches me, and Starbucks gives me the espresso shots I need!
But really, the stars are because of the customer service. I’ve never been let down and the line always moves smoothly and I don’t see or hear anyone complain ever. Also, in the rare occasion they do make a minor mistake, they will give you the right and wrong order or give you a free coupon for another one! I go every morning except Sunday and know the regulars and they know me. I like this place and the customer service is really what sets it apart. Plus, very clean.

Lately every time I have stopped here for lunch they are out of sandwiches. Especially paninis. Why can’t there just be enough at lunch hour? I don’t think they make an effort to keep their stock replenished. I’ve basically stopped going there for lunch anymore as a result.

This is a review for ALL Starbucks in the world. Not just the Avon location.
This is just the one I go to on the weekends when I’m home and desperately in need of a latte and Hartford Baking Company is just too far to drive. Luckily in a week I’ll no longer have to resort to Starbucks.
I really have to say that I cringe at the thought of drinking Starbucks now that I’ve tasted what real coffee can be like. The only way I can drink the espresso is if the flavor is masked by some type of sugary additive. My mom even had a double shot of espresso recently and threw it out after one sip – why so bitter?
I can say that Starbucks employees are always nice, I’ve never met one who has been unfriendly. The predictable cafes always look the same exact way, which can be either disappointing or comforting.
I’ve been spoiled by Tisane and HBC.

San Diego, CA
This is a good public spot to meet people personally or for a quick business coffee. It’s one of few places in the valley to socialize and people watch due to its location and high customer traffic. It’s also a favorite hang out of lots of high school kids so be prepared if you don’t want to deal with lots of teens.
The store is set in an upscale strip mall driving much of the foot traffic. The morning lines are reasonable. The staff is very friendly and works quickly. Overall, it’s a solid branch of the national chain that I frequent and really like.

Another good Starbucks. Although I would prefer a local coffee shop anytime to Starbucks, this Starbucks is fine. The employees are nice and it is a good place to sit and work for awhile.
