After a shopping trip to Ikea we decided while in the area dinner at Halfway Café was in order. Patio area was open but we opted to sit inside. It was quiet, got seated right away. Our dinners were fine the cheese pizza was a bit saucy but nothing we could not handle it is a Tuesday special at $ 4.99 and a turkey club which was good & had the right amount of turkey/lettuce/tomato/bacon/mayo for a delicious club with a large amount of fries. Our waiter Todd was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. Overall a good time.

Food quality has gone down hill drastically. Last few times I have been there, several local drunks were well over served and acting obnoxiously. Also, the crowd at night is much tougher than it used to be. Hopefully they figure it out because it’s in a nice spot and most of the staff is friendly.

Let me preface what I am going to say with this used to be my FAVORITERESTAURANT! We went there for Mother’s Day(as it was my pick). It was empty so I was pumped. I ordered my usual, grilled cheese with tomato and onions. I got a grilled cheese with ONE piece of cheese and one sliver of tomato. As a small business owner I took the high road and reached out to the manager and corporate email the next day(I even attached pictures), nothing! So now I took it to Unilocal. Please do not waste your time going there, I will NEVER be back.

Eh, just nothing special. Ordered steak tips(the larger order thank God, I’d hate to see the smaller order) with fries. The tips were ok, had an odd texture to them, wouldn’t order them again. The fries were soggy, limp and cold. The bartender was fantastic. Those bar stools gotta go.

Visited on 4÷29÷16 Let’s start by saying the reason the rating isn’t a zero is because the service was great. It’s hard to believe that such a reputable name would feel comfortable with serving such a substandard product I understand that this is not a five star restaurant but the quality of the food was below bar food standard. Salad was lowest quality lettuce available, chicken was from the Perdue pre cooked bags. Steak tips were flank and all fat. Overall very underwhelmed with our first experience with Halfway Café. Again the service was great but the product is just very substandard.

Went on St. Patrick’s Day. We were there before 6pm. There was a DJ who was so loud that we didn’t even bother to get a seat. Shame really. Usually they are pretty good.

Hubby and I stopped in for lunch. He got a burger and fries, I ordered grilled cheese and fries after waiting 25 min for our order, my grilled cheese was cold and not melted but my fries were hot, burger was hot bit fries were cold. They did take sandwich off bill bit while we were sitting there the manager went around to all the tables asking how everything was bit he never came over to our table. Have always loved the half way but last few times it has been going down hill. Guess I will have to find somewhere else to go.

Went for lunch on a Wednesday. My husband got a Rubin and fries and was happy. I got baked haddock. Fish was very small with a few cracker crumbs no flavor, no lemon on side. Mashed potatoes were cold and broccoli not cooked enough(and I prefer it undercooked but this was pretty much raw). Popcorn was great. Lunch was very reasonably priced but I guess you get what you pay for. I probably won’t want to go back. I’m sure my husband would go back for pub food and beer. Maybe if you stick with burgers, sandwiches, fries may be a better bet.

Great local restaurant! They’re always consistent and keep up with great specials. Buzz and halfway hot wings are my favorite, accompanied by a good selection of beers on draft. Steak tips and burgers are quality, with a generous portion for whatever side you pick. You won’t even have room for dessert.

Restaurant almost empty but had to wait about 7 minutes before waitress arrived. Food was sub par at best. Only gave it one star because they don’t allow minus stars. Don’t waste your money or time.

I’m always looking for new places to take my mother-in-law for dinner in the Canton area. Last night we tried this place. what a mistake! We ate outside on the patio which was pleasant. I ordered the steak tips with BBQ sauce and boneless wings with fries and broccoli. My mother-in-law ordered steak tips rare with mashed potatoes and broccoli. My steaks tips tasted good but had no BBQ flavor at all. The boneless wings were supposed to have a buzz flavor of honey garlic with a kick. Not there at all. The fries were barely hot and limp. The broccoli was cold on the plate. What kind of chef sends out cold vegetables? My mother-in-law’s steak tips were well done, not rare as ordered and cold broccoli also. We sent a lot back. No manager came over to inquire about our meals being sent back. Needless to say, we won’t be coming back here.

This place used to be way better then is was my last visit on July 10th really disappointed me. My boyfriend and I were seated on the patio because it was a beautiful night. Yet, we were trying to talk and the music was SOLOUD outside that we were having trouble hearing each other. Being outside, along with very loud music made it challenging for us. We were greeted by a server who said she, and another were covering the patio that evening. Smart idea I was thinking, coming from myself who used to work in restaurants, having two people cover one area means prompt and attentive service, but no, not close. We were ready to order for quite a few minutes before either even noticed the closed menus piled up next to each other on the edge of the table. Once our orders were taken our food took over 35 minutes to come out. We were told three times that our food was on it’s way soon, and quickly knew that it was a bad sign. My boyfriend had a chicken sandwich and I had the Crab Cake special. There is no way it should have taken that long, and with two people watching the food window for the same area, it seemed as though it was just super slow and sluggish service. The redeeming factor is that the food was good and we were pleased. Just the service was subpar and the music was crazy loud.

Solid bar food. Good atmosphere and beer. They have outdoor seating in the summer which is a plus. Big fan of the free popcorn they serve.

We came here for a late night drinks and snacks. The hurricane cocktail was tasty but lacked alcohol. They have half priced apps after 9 pm, so we got chicken fingers, sweet potato fries and nachos. Nachos were bland and barely had any cheese. It was mostly a pile of lettuce and tomatoes and sour cream. And I just realized there was no pick de gallo at all, which was supposed to be part of the dish. The fries and chicken fingers were average. The servers were attentive and friendly, so that was pretty much the only good thing about the place. The music was super loud, so if you want to have a conversation, this is not the place to go.

We walked in and weren’t even acknowledged for 10 minutes as staff walked by on a Saturday night staring right at us. We walked out and went somewhere else.

had a great time here on sunday afternoon. my boyfriend and i were in the mood for some pub grub to go with a touch of football. he’s a local and when he suggested this place, i was on board. i understand they’ve recently undergone a menu change and, i can’t comment on what they had before, but i was very pleased with what they offer now. first and foremost– affordable. everything seems very reasonably priced; some items even under what i might expect to pay. there’s a great variety of apps, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. we sat at one of the high-top tables in the bar area, and were seated with a bowl of complimentary(fresh!) popcorn. our server, todd, was over quickly. he offered prompt, friendly, knowledgeable service. he was available, but never intrusive. since we were there on a sunday afternoon, we took advantage of one of their«mvp» specials: a double order of boneless wings and a pitcher of sam adams, all for just $ 24.99. i asked if we could choose 2 flavors, and was met with a resounding«yes.» excellent! we chose buzzz, which is a spicy honey garlic, and pineapple teriyaki. the wings arrived in a bit of a tumble. especially because the sauces we chose looked somewhat similar, it was a little confusing as to which were which, though we muddled through. thankfully, they were served with plenty of bleu cheese, and our request for a side of ranch was quickly fulfilled. this place isn’t fancy, but it is warm and welcoming. with a plethora of tvs, good service, and great food at affordable/cheap prices, you’d be crazy not to give it a shot. i know we’ll be back.

I stumbled union this place in Cobb’s corner and decided to give it a try. I ordered the salmon burger(from the old menu)…VERY pleased. I went in another time during lent and asked for a grilled buffalo chicken wrap with no French fries(seeing that I had given up fried food). I had the waitress repeat my order back to me to confirm. When my food came out what did I get… a buffalo chicken wrap with fried chicken and French fries!!! Of course I was upset and tried to get my waitresses attention(who was sitting in a booth across from me rolling silverware ignoring me). When she finally came over I told her the problem and she asked if she should just throw the fries away… what about my wrap?! Let’s just say I left hungry. With the new menu the salmon burger is gone(not pleased) when I asked if there was a menu change the response I received(well if you don’t see it on the menu we don’t have it). I am I hospitality manager and I would never speak to my guests that way

Had a pretty underwhelming experience with takeout here. First off, when you walk in there is no hostess so you don’t know where to get your food. The bartender was busy so I kind of just wandered toward the back of the restaurant and found a waitress that would help me. The food was not that good at all. Buffalo wings were undercooked and slimy inside. Gross. The salad was ok but had some wilted lettuce. Steak tips were great though! Tried the safari dog too, which is the biggest hot dog I’ve ever seen and it was pretty good. More like a kielbasa than a dog. Fries were disgusting.

Halfway, you magnificent bastards! You’re back and better than ever! My wife and I came back on a whim a few weeks back and were very excited with what we found. The«old new menu» was replaced with yet another«new menu» — but this time, it was on the money. The menu is back to having food items you would expect at a place like Halfway Café, with none of the weird experimental/pretentious/trendy type dishes of menus past. All the new appetizers are awesome… mac and cheese fritters are amazing. The make your own burger menu is a terrific idea. I was hesitant to spend big bucks on their burger with the most expensive halfway meat blend(chuck, short rib, brisket), but it really was great. To be honest, I am happy to spend more money on a high quality burger like this one(especially out in the ‘burbs). Beer selection remains terrific and affordable. Most importantly, the service is back on their A game as well. Each time I have been back, all of the waiters and waitresses have checked in regularly(sometimes different waitresses a few minutes apart), and managers have been walking around and checking in on people. Food is served hot, orders aren’t being screwed up, no issues at all. Halfway seems to have found their mojo again, and I’ll be sure to start coming back more often as a result.
