I was happy to finally see a pizza made without a rolling pin or made from a frozen crust. The process was authentic and the pizza tasted fine. I enjoyed the fast-paced atmosphere in this otherwise slow moving community, reminiscent of my days in our own Brooklyn Pizzeria. Overall the experience was so refreshing, though In NY we don’t cover all the sauce with the cheese, but let it peak out so it is no overwhelmed by the cheese. But the cheese flavor was very good and the dough tasted great! I want to really taste the sauce next time to enjoy the experience to the full. Thanks for the open kitchen that allowed me to see the process from beginning to end. Another hint to perfect the process would be to brush the outer edges of the crust with egg yolk or oil to crisp it up and give it a sheen. Have fun with it and make sure the crust is golden brown, not too brown or too pale!

My mom was in town for bird day one night we were craving pizza and beer strolled in some guy drinking pitchers of lemonade at counter trash and pizza crusts under all I repeat all tables servers hanging out talking shop. Pizza was good but scared to drink from cups or eat off flatware. Place was gross gross oh and expensive for pizza it’s dough and cheese not premium lobster tails

Delicious! The toppings on our pizza were very tasty and fresh and the dough was thin and crispy. We actually came back the next day after we had lunch! The server Jessie was really friendly! We will be back. Maybe tomorrow lol.

We have been frequenting this location for the last five years since we moved to Canton. The last two visits were horrible. The food has always been great and frankly the only reason we came back. The service is lacking and the wait staff walked past us several times without even a simple acknowledgement. This time, after an hour wait, we got our pizza and it was burnt on the bottom. I regret to say we will NOT be back. I will steer as much business away from this establishment as possible. They need to understand the customer is why they are in business. If you mistreat the customer long enough, even your mediocre product won’t keep you in business.

We dropped by today for lunch and were blown away by how great this place is! We ordered the great white pizza. Crispy crust, creamy cheese sauces, topped with real sliced chicken pieces, nothing fake here! Basil and tomato and more gooey cheese. Our large salad fed 4 as an appetizer. The honey mustard dressing was plentiful and tasty. We tying the bbq chicken wings and were pleasantly surprised by the quality. So juicy and again tasted like home made. Our medium pizza was huge. We had plenty of leftovers. most importantly the customer service is exceptional. We were treated like kings and queens. The bathrooms were spotless also. The prices are also great. You get a lot of food for the price. There are TV’s that play sport channels which was cool because we got updates on our beloved Seahawks! I would highly recommend this place for families or anybody that wants some beer and pizza! We are out of towers but we will definitely be back!

Honestly I was just driving through and needed something to eat on the way, but I was really happy i ended up here. The pizza was really good and it wasn’t very expensive. The best part is that there is a pretty good sized deck outside I was able to eat at with my pup.

Pretty horrible experience here. The place was dirty and HOT. The booth we sat at was falling apart. It took nearly an hour to get a VERY simple order out during which time the waitress checked on us and refilled drinks ZERO times. Nearly every other table in the restaurant had been finished eating when we got there so it wasn’t even like they were just too busy. The staff was more worried about chit chatting with the regular bar flies than doing their job. Never going back.

Great pizza. The wait is lengthy at lunch time, but if you are not in a hurry you will not be disappointed. I had the 2 — slice lunch special which was good and satisfying. If you have a taste for NY pizza while in Canton, GA then stop by Johnny’s.

As New Yorkers we were pretty impressed! Nice pizza joint. Ny slices are huge like penn station pizza. Almost like NY pizza. Needs a little more flexibility when you curl it but considering its Georgia it’s impressive. Local Craft beer was delicious! Great staff!

Great place for a quick lunch. I had a couple of slices and they were fine. They were a little chincy on the sausage topping I ordered for one slice. I began to worry when I saw the cooks put up for the waitress. I thought it was mine and it sat there for five-minutes before she picked it up and took it outside to the customer on the patio. I was so glad that it wasn’t mine, and felt bad for the other people. I looked around and saw many dirty tables and the place wasn’t busy, so my guess is they are just unorganized. I will go back, because they are friendly and the food is reasonably priced.

Heather was our waitress and she was super upbeat and helpful, as was the rest of the staff. I had the Traditional Stromboli with groundbeef in place of sausage. It was so yummy!!! The rest of the family had garlic knots and pizza, both were enjoyed by all. The sweet tea is also very good. We love this location!

Wait was pretty lengthy, I would suggest going at a slow time if you want great service. However the pizza was good.

Growing up in the Tri-state area and being a pizza aficionado(not pizza snob) we always search out the best pizza in our haunts. The folks and Johnny’s might be nice but that does not, a New York pie, make. Their pies are mediocre at best. I tried explaining to them to please prepare the pie correctly, without results. Even after I explained to them that their«Slice» pies were closer to NYC style but why can’t they create their normal pies the same fashion they complained and said they didn’t carry the boxes. Guys — MAKETHEPIES with the same thickness of crust and the same preparation and you might make pizza lovers happier. They offered to make my take-out pies again after waiting 25 minutes for them ATTHESTORE… No refund or recourse. I asked for the owner to call me… nada. So customer service is seriously lacking in my experience… skip it please, there are better places. You’ll get better with Papa Johns or Pizza Hut imitations of a Brooklyn pie or New York style. Since we’ve been in Atlanta I’d say the best pizza your gonna get, fitting the true New-York style is Ray’s in Kennesaw… They take pizza lovers serious and amazing customer service to boot. I’m passionate about my pizza… The search in Dixie continues.

We went and it was empty on 3pm Friday. The service was ok — it took 10+ minutes to get water & sweet tea. The food was good. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich and my son had a calzone. I’d probably go back but I think I’d try other places first.

I always like Johnny’s and will stop into any franchise because the food is usually very good. I stopped on on a Saturday right after the lunch crowd… not busy… the place just looked not dirty but not real clean. The bathrooms were horrendous. Staff was friendly and nice but they just weren’t terribly proficient and professional. The pizza as always was excellent. Tough to grade this place because the food is good and the people are very nice but it just doesn’t seem to be well managed. I am afraid my experience would have been far less pleasant if there was more than just two tables of people in the restaurant.

Things are better. The food is good I’m becoming a Tuesday regular for dollar slice night. The staff is friendly and there is never a wait. The food could come out faster but it’s always fresh and hot, probably the reason for the longer wait times.

Delicious pizza — in fact I think it’s the best I have had outside of NYC. I don’t know why anyone — and I mean anyone — would order pizza from one of the«big 3» pizza chains when you have this Johnny’s in Canton. The pizza at those places doesn’t even compare. I have only ever had Johnny’s deliver or carried it out myself so I can’t speak for the staff aside from the to-go counter and phone people(usually one in the same). They are polite and quick to serve when you approach the counter. Aside from the quality of the pizza, Johnny’s handling of their role as provider of pizza for my son’s first birthday is what urged me to voice my favorable opinion of them on Unilocal. We ordered about 8 large pies for delivery the next day as we wanted to give the staff plenty of notice. When asked the occasion we mentioned it was for our son’s first birthday. The pizza arrived hot, delicious and on time the next day and our pies included a treat, courtesy of the owners — a «pie» cut into the shape of a «1» just for my little boy. That thoughtfulness was so unexpected and appreciated and has made us customers of Johnny’s Riverstone anytime we are jonesing for some pizza(which is often).

The pizza was outstanding – once we got it. We went to check out this place on what turned out to be poker night, and it seemed our server was paying a lot more attention to her poker patrons than to us. It also took the better part of an hour for our food to arrive at the table. When I asked if they’d forgotten about us, the waitress said the kitchen burned our first pizza, and it’s replacement would soon be out. But I do suspect she merely forgot to put in the order. Either way: tell me the truth, and if the pizza really did burn, please tell me about it before I have to ask. Oh, and if the delay gets so long that I do have to ask, at least comp my sodas or something. But as I said, the pie we finally got was really good. We had the Great White pie(a white pizza with chicken, tomatoes, and spinach). Delicious. The crust was just right. The combination of flavors was excellent. If I ever return to this place, I’ll probably just place an order to go.

This particular Johnny’s is under new ownership. We really have liked this in the past — have been going there for many years. Tonight was the first time we tried since the ownership change. This was a call-in order for pickup. Enough background — down to the review. We ordered the Vegetarian Delight, medium pizza and a cheese Calzone. The toppings on the pizza were plentiful but the crust was really overcooked. Crust wasn’t black, but it was whatever color comes just before it turns black — very chewy, just not good at all. Calzone wasn’t bad, but it was chewy too. Overall we were disappointed. Probably be a long while before we go back…
