This place is going downhill fast. Bigger isn’t always better… just check out the way it’s done in Texas. And what’s up with the bar area? What an odd concept for a BBQ place.

Love this place! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, awesome BBQ! I recommend the burnt end sandwich. My eight year old is constantly asking when we can go back!

My husband and I stopped here from out of town. The pulled pork was delicious, and the sauce was decent, not spicy enough. The pretzels and beer cheese was terrible! Service was okay, a little understaffed.

My husband and I always said we needed to stop by this place and try it. Then we did. We shouldn’t have. My husband eats anything put in front of him. I’ve never seen him turn any food away until we went here. I had a chicken sandwich and it was ok. Nothing special. Although the fries were too greasy to eat. He had ribs and said it was so incredibly dry he couldn’t eat it. Very disappointed. I had such high hopes for a place with what I had heard, has a good reputation. Where’s this award winning sauce?

Food was very average, 1 good piece of ribs covering 1 very dry piece. Atmosphere was McDonald’s like.

My husband and I visited here tonight for the first time, thanks to an Entertainment Book coupon. He had a ribs and brisket platter, I had brisket and pulled pork. While the meats all had good general flavor, none of them had the smokiness we expect from barbeque. My husband remarked several times that the brisket just tasted like roast beef, not bbq. My pulled pork came in large pieces, not smaller shreds I’ve received at various bbq places, with a fair amount of fat and fibrous elements. In fact, my whole plate was greasy from rim to rim — rather unappetizing. The baked beans were quite good, cornbread was nicely sweet, fries were fine, and coleslaw was«OK» per my husband. I enjoyed the sweet and spicy sauce, tho I wouldn’t classify it as «spicy». Overall, we were left with a «meh» feeling — some things were good, some left a bit to be desired. We’ll probably try it again(with another coupon!) to see if our visit was a true representation or if some of the rave reviews have merit.

Great BBQ, speed of service is a little slow. Easy to see why they win the Ribs Burn off nearly every year. There is there award winning sauce at every table and the dining room has plenty of room and it’s easy to have a conversation with friends.

I was very disappointed! I tried ribs at Naperville Ribfest on July 3, 2011 and the ribs did NOT fall off the bone and was 70% ALL fat, it was disgusting! Dry, tough and fat!

Nothing short of Texas bbq/Smokin’ in Dayton, Ohio will ever be good enough for me again, but Two Fat Guys bbq comes awfully close. Love the quality meats, sauces and sides, and it’s also fortunate for me Mack’s Frozen Custard and Desserts opened inside this location just in time for summer.

Got the Sweet Potato Casserole tonight. 10 minutes after eating my stomach started killing me. Been sick all night. Stay away from that gross thing. I’m pretty sure its poisoned.

Well, on the bright side I think I clarified the sauce situation from my previous visit. I was pretty disappointed with several aspects of this visit. The sauce again was just as disappointing as I remembered it, but at least this time I am sure that I got the spicy sauce. I was able to try the brisket and the BBQ beans this time around. The brisket was lacking flavor and didn’t have that signature stretchiness that brisket has. Definitely on the bottom few briskets I’ve had. The beans were actually pretty good — they had some pork and onions in it and had overall good balanced flavor. However, the portion was really small — it was kinda strange. The cole slaw was average at best especially for a BBQ joint. Another gripe that I had was how soggy the bun was… without even any sauce on it. The entire bottom bun was completely waterlogged; I had to remove it and knife and fork my sandwich. I probably would have gave this a one star, but the beans and the portion size of the meat on my sandwich(there was a ton of meat on there for $ 8) saved it. I probably won’t venture here a third time… unless i am close by and have a serious BBQ hankering. I guess the ribs would be next to try but I have almost no expectations.

Very good BBQ in Canton. They have some items that most BBQ don’t: smoked sausage, brisket, and smoked turkey and such. Not just your normal pulled pork and ribs(though they do have those). This is the better place to go to vs. Old Carolina and levels above Hog Heaven. The only reason I knock this down from 5 to 4 stars is sometimes items are out. I’ve been here probably 10 times and they have been out of signature items a few times. Friday night and you run out of Brisket? Not cool. I wanted to try their fried corn on the cob… out. There isn’t a bad item to get, but when you drive down craving some brisket and they’re out, it does leave you wanting.

My favorite BBQ outside of St. Louis. Great ribs and sausage. The best Brunswick stew in the north. I recommend TFGs to all my out of town guests.

OK… This was a very unfortunate experience here this time. I usually go here once a month for bbq. It was always decent bbq for canton ohio(much better than some local competitors). I travel the country for work and I consider myself a BBQ expert. I have had BBQ that I feel in love with — I had BBQ that was good — I had BBQ that I figured I would try one more time because maybe it was just a bad day, and I have had BBQ where I wouldn’t feed to my dogs. In the past 2 Fat Guys was what I would expect to find for BBQ in Ohio. I literally just got done eating carry out from here. I ordered 2 Slabs, stew, beans, slaw, and mashed potatoes for me, the wife, and my daughter. The sides were excellent with the exception of the beans(they were OK) just not much flavor as you would expect from a BBQ joint. Now for the meat… These are literally the worst ribs I have ever eaten. The outside was burnt(I will attempt to post a picture after this review of what they looked like) not just over cooked, they were charred, hard, and had that burnt taste. When I picked up one of the 1⁄3 slabs and tried to pull a bone off the entire outer part of the ribs where they were burnt all came off together. These ribs were not edible. Burnt on the outside and cold on the inside. My guess is that these were leftovers from the burn-off that took place this past week for the hall of fame festivities. I was so looking forward to getting a good slab this weekend after being on the road in Arkansas all week. I will probably still return to 2 fat guys again — however, if I have another experience like this again I will not return. I hope the owners read this because in canton there are a on of restaurants and if this type of quality continues they wont be there much longer. I always try to support are local business owners — but I expect to have my experience consistent. Take a look at the picture I am going to post of the ribs.

The food is great, they’re not over priced, and they have some really good lunch specials. But if you’re ordering take out you’re going to be left waiting. This is not a good choice if you’re in a hurry. But it is delicious!

The first time I went there I thought… «hmmm — this place ain’t half bad.» The second time we got takeout. We ordered some meal that they said fed 6 adults. BS. The side dish containers weren’t big enough for even a single portion. The meat on the various meats was cold and tough. The ribs were despicable. I actually stopped eating half way through because I was so disgusted. So, the moral of the story is don’t order their meal for 6 for takeout. Ever.

Was visiting Canton and had lunch here after leaving another barbecue because nothing was gluten free I was very suprised that much of their food is gluten free. Their sauces are gluten free as well as many of their sides their ribs were very tasty and their sapuces and sides were very good. Overall a good experience. I would definitly recomend them for people with gluten sensitivities as well as anyone else looking for good barbecue.

My son and I are on a 3 day road trip when we happened upon Two Fat Guys BBQ. We have a belief that there is no bad bbq. Well TFG’s was one of the best bbq joints we have ever been too. We have eaten bbq from coast to coast and this place belongs in the upper echelon of fine eateries. The smoked sausage was incredible and the brisket divine. The portions were gigantic. This place was just great!!!

This was one of the only two rib vendors we tried(one can only eat and spend so much) at the Heinz Field Rib Fest. We got a 3 bone sampler for $ 6 – 7 which included cole slaw and beans. After eating the ribs, I high-fived, bowed to, and threw the mallochio at the man who prepared them. Greatest. Ribs. Ever. When they say«fall off the bone» they mean Two Fat Guys BBQ. Can meat melt on the tongue? Can smoke be a flavor all its own? Can a BBQ sauce be akin to a street drug? There are no other ribs. These are made by people who were born to compete and excel. Two Fat Guys, you are the World Tag Team Champions.
