Old Carolina Barbecue Company

We tried the Kansas City Combo and it was extremely well. I tried few places in North Carolina and this place was much better.

Everyone in our household loves Old Carolina. We actually go on vacation yearly to the same area that this place is inspired by– Brunswick County, NC. When they have their Calabash Seafood fest we never miss it.
The BBQ is great, I love the sauces, the meat falls off the bone. There’s some sentimental value for us here as well. Old Carolina was my mom’s favorite =)
She passed away on Easter in 2014 from cancer. We enjoy carrying on the tradition and still eating here. Our son loves the vinegar on his fries and the creamy slaw, which I have to say is quite good.

Not my idea of good bbq. But the Brunswick stew is the reason I go here! It has beans, pulled pork, other veggies and a light tomato based broth. Probably one of the better BBQs in canton. But I travel In Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, etc. A lot… no comparison

Ive been here many times when I was little and never get tired of it. Love the mashed potatos. The pork is great with the BBQ sauce. The hush puppys are great too! Great service and cheap price.

Solid BBQ at a pretty good price. Took advantage of their $ 11 full rack of ribs over the 4^th of July weekend (on the last day) and somewhat expected to «get what I paid for» since it was such a good deal. The ribs were fantastic. Tender. Lots of meat. Flavorful. Their side dishes are always on point. Great local chain that gets it right. Have had the pulled pork and brisket, too. Always leave full and satisfied.

Good smoked flavor in the pork, brisket and fall off the bone ribs. 5 different sauces to choose from but the meat was so tasty did not really need any. True Southern sweet tea to wash it all down.

I had the pulled pork Carolina style meal with fries. The sauces here are fantastic! The have four main sauces: Tomato based traditional; Tomato based tangy; Mustard based tangy; Spicy
They smoke the meats using logs that are stacked up right in front of the place.
I will definitely go again when I can.

This REAL BBQ was a welcome addition to the greater Akron-​Canton area.
The pulled pork and brisket are amazing. The Original (sweet) sauce is still my favorite, but they do a really nice take on the Carolina mustard sauce, which goes great with the pulled pork, as it should be. The sides are great — good beans, which is essential, love the hush puppies, and the Brunswick Stew is a truly unique and mind-​blowingly delicious addition.
Possibly the best part about OCB is the staff. These kids are clearly trained in customer service. The restaurant is walk up counter service (typical for BBQ), but the staff make recommendations, help you save money, have a sense of humor, and swing by your table multiple times to see if they can get you anything. Love it! This friendly, welcoming atmosphere will keep us coming back! Great job guys! We’ve been to both the Massillon and Belden Village stores, and this is very consistent.
And I don’t know what the guy over on the Canton review page is smoking (no pun intended). At the Massillon store, we could smell the smoker as soon as we pulled in the parking lot!
Also wanted to let the management know that we first found you guys when you were handing out very generous free samples down at Lehman’s Hardware earlier this summer — very good advertising. We’ll be back!

If you don’t like BBQ with pizazz, Old Carolina Barbecue is a nice place to go. Don’t get me wrong; food here is not bad, but rather bland and uninspiring. That goes for all of their proteins and most of their sides. Their only dessert; banana pudding is superb. I had a good experience though because even bland barbecue beats no barbecue at all. This might be a great place to get a party platter: You can take it home and add your own pizazz to it. They have platters that serve up to 50!

I love a good BBQ place, and this is one of the best I’ve been to. Their meat is delicious, they have some wonderful tasting BBQ Sauces (which you can buy!), and excellent side dishes. The baked beans are to die for and the best I’ve had. I can’t wait to go back here again if I travel through here!

the sandwiches are priced well – $ 5 for a pulled pork with lots of meat.
the sides are great – i always get garlic mashed potatoes and baked beans.
