Union Hill Grill

My husband and I ate at the Union Hill Grill last Friday night. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, the entrees were delicious, and the dessert was divine! We will definitely return to this hidden gem of a restaurant!

Wonderful find! Small and tucked away but exquisite. The crispy Brussel sprouts were to die for. Happy with everything. I had the goat cheese tortellini and my husband had the porterhouse. We will definitely come back

This place is GREAT!!! For a restaurant set in a shopping strip in Canton, this is a gem. The food and service were spot on. Our waitress was attentive without being overly intrusive. We had the duck and blackened fish from the specials menu. Both tasted and looked awesome. Be sure to order the pear martini it will knock your socks off smooth tasty and unique. Will be going back again but it is a tad pricey but worth it.

Live just down the street from the restaurant, and always enjoy the great food and service. Restaurant has daily seafood and steak specials. If you go there ask for Nathan for his attentive service. For sides you must try the crispy Brussel sprouts, or the grilled asparagus. You will enjoy the food!

Went with local friends to this place in the middle of nowhere and had a perfect meal. Excellent professional server who knew about everything on the menu and how to accommodate our restricted dieter. Many more sides and unusual dishes for a grill. Interesting cocktails. Dill pickle martini anyone?
I love seeing chicken livers on a menu and they were fantastic. My companions both got shrimp and grits and they put the shrimp from our vegetarian’s plate on the other guy’s plate. Nice touch. No quibbles at all.

Like stepping through the wardrobe to Narnia, this unassuming location leads to a 5-​star dining experience. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. I had a perfectly cooked to ‘medium’ 14oz New York strip. I chose some of the simpler sides, but you could tell they were fresh and prepared with skill. They do have an extensive wine list, and my server was able to suggest a nice Cabernet to pair with dinner.
In all areas, they exceeded expectations!

Food was excellent. Service was good. Four of us seniors had really tough time with noise level. There is no noise abatement at all making conversation very difficult. That’s why it’s been a couple of years since our last visit and why it’s likely to be a while before we return.

We had a lovely date night at Union Hill Grill tonight. We forget about Union Hill because it is a ways away. Sure glad we made it a destination by making reservations earlier in the week. We arrived about 10 minutes early and seated immediately. My husband saw some friends and went to speak to them. Waiter Kevin already had served me a glass of wine before my husband returned to the table. Awesome! I had the blue plate veal meatloaf. It was moist, tender, and most flavorful. I requested to sub roasted beets for the whipped potatoes and waiter Kevin was happy to oblige. My husband had the grouper special. It was accompanied by artichoke hearts, capers, tiny roasted potatoes, and sauteed arugula. He said it was fabulous and I did have a bite and must agree. We finished off our meal by sharing a wonderful slice of carrot cake. The place was packed but we did not feel rushed in anyway. Must give a shout out to our amazing waiter Kevin. He was covering all the tables in the bar area. I am always impressed by a waiter who writes nothing down and somehow gets it all perfect. He was taking orders at the table next to us and picking up our check and credit card as well. A real master of multi-​tasking. Good food, GREAT service, and it doesn’t get any better than Union Hill Grill.

My husband and I, having just moved to the area, tried out Union Hill Grill for a Saturday date night before Valentine’s. I’m so glad we did! We ordered cocktails, Asian pear salads, a pistachio-​crusted tilefish special, the pork chop with grits and crispy brussels sprouts, and a special dessert that involved a poached pear atop some sort of tart. Everything was fantastic! Flavorful and traditional, with enough of a twist that it didn’t leave me thinking I could have made the same thing at home. The wait staff was prompt, courteous, and helpful, and everyone we encountered seemed to enjoy working there, which says a lot about a restaurant. We were there late, and the place was still pretty packed considering that it’s in a strip mall in the middle of nowhere. I would definitely recommend Union Hill Grill if you want some solidly good food in a place that is nice, but still casual enough that you can wear jeans and laugh loudly. Make a reservation, though, if you want to eat on the weekend.

Can’t say enough good things about this sleepy gem! Excellent wine list, beer offerings. All food prepared fresh to order and always consistently excellent. Service is attentive and meaningful. — a must if you live in the 30 004, 30 115 zips!

Been here quite a few times with friends and family. Great food, great service, and a great southern atmosphere. Whether you want steak and lobster, duck, or just a burger (which is excellent by the way), this place will not disappoint!

Stopped in last night to check it out as we’re new to the area. We loved it. Madison was our server and she welcomed us warmly and made great recommendations. The burger is AMAZING, like a thick cut of steak on a Holman & Finch bun. The sweet potatoes and crispy Brussels sprouts were great as well. We moved to town from food-​loving Decatur so we were glad to find a restaurant of that quality just down the road from us. We’ll definitely be back. FYI: around $ 80 for two people with one drink each and no apps.

For many years we have been going to Union Hill Grill, but under their new ownership they have changed their menu and change their style.
They have taken off the chop, which was one of our favorites. The price of their steaks has gone up about five dollars each. We ordered a glass of Pinot Noir and were given a glass of Cabernet. After complaining, the owner gave us what we ordered, but only because my husband went to the bar. The waitress kept hovering like a helicopter and instead of the normal linens on the table, we had a rough piece of paper over the table which kept bending up when we brought our arms up to eat. Not exactly 1^st class for a meal that cost around $ 100 for two people. At the end of the meal, we had dessert which was from their new pastry chef. Not much of a choice on the dessert menu and it was very dry almost as though it was a week old!
We won’t be back.

Great food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. We live just down the street so the location paired with the quality makes it an oasis of sorts in the desert that is the marketplace of cherokee county. The bar has an impressively large selection to and Heidi can make you anything you like !

Yummy! Great Cherokee county strip shopping center find. Great food. Great service. Get the dates! And short ribs!

A bit disappointed as it was recommended to my wife and I by a few few people as a «must go to» restaurant as being awesome. We didn’t agree with the awesome able but definitely would rate this as good. If you want a good meal, at a good price served by good people this place is it.

Loved loved LOVED this restaurant! First time going was last Wed, 5 – 20, on my birthday. Every time me and/​or my husband pass it, it’s always packed. Now we know why. Very delicious food all around and great drinks. Very pleased! We will def be going back!

We came in on a Saturday evening not realizing we should have made reservations for a seemingly hole in the wall country restaurant. Boy, were we in for a surprise! We took a seat at the bar and were promptly greeted by the friendly bar staff. Had an amazing Blood Orange martini. Very tasty and refreshing!
We ordered the seared ahi appetizer. It was fresh and perfectly prepared. I will be getting this again the next time we come! I ordered the seared scallops and chose grits and collard greens as sides. The scallops were big and meaty and seared to perfection! The grits were tasty and the perfect consistency. The greens were almost as good as my own! ;-) My husband ordered the pork tenderloin plate. It was tender and juicy and the sides were excellent.
We will definitely be back! (again and again!)

I’ve been to to The Grill with the previous owners. The food now is better than any metropolitan resturaunt that we have visited. I feel so happy that I have a ***** five star resturant five seconds from my house!!!
