Waffle House

I am grey haired and long in the tooth so it is a rare occasion when I am pleasantly surprised. The Waffle House franchises look crappy on both the outside and the inside so I doubted my friends’ taste when they took me here for brunch. Well, colour me pleasantly surprised.
The staff was pleasant and I daresay quite entertaining. The food was… colour me surprised… DELICIOUS! My palate is rather fussy but this was some of the best comfort food I’ve had in all my visits to Georgia.
We had a large party and our orders were messed up a bit but the staff straightened things out quickly and without complaint. I can honestly say that the entire dining experience was delightful and I will visit this establishment again.
That said, the only reason this establishment didn’t get four stars is the bathrooms — though I did not use them myself others in my party expressed their displeasure at the lack of cleanliness and odour.

I don’t think I have ever given a Waffle House such a low score.
Our waitress was just terrible.
I was looking forward to a waffle and the soggy Frisbee I received was the worst waffle I have ever seen. I barely ate half of it.
The sunny side up eggs were a runny soup.
We sat back by the office. I guess the manager and another employee were in there chatting the whole time while the rest of the ship was sinking.
With as many Waffle Houses around, I will never have to go back to this one.
