I’m trapped in a one lane drive thru. Nobody answered speaker so I drove around to find a car waiting for an order I guess at the pick up window. After I waited about three minutes he assed money to the person working window. After another 3 – 4 minutes his order was passed to him. It consisted of three beverages. When I pulled up they were more interested in the speaker than me who was ignored at speaker. When I pulled around I was leaving as I thought they weren’t open. Then I was gong to order but when ignored I just drove thru the drive thru.

It’s a Wendy’s(with attached Tim Hortons) so you know what to expect for the food. Food is good enough. Restaurant is filthy. We were there at about 12:30 on a Sunday. All the tables were empty except for 3. Still we had to find one that was the least dirty and wipe the food particles off it ourselves. All the napkin dispensers were empty so we had to go over to the Hortons side to get some napkins to clean our table and for our meal. Yuck.

It was ok. Nothing spectacular. My husband was in the hospital and I asked if there was a particular treat I could bring him and he said a vanilla Frosty. I don’t eat at Wendy’s all that much, so I can comment on the food. I know they have burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, and salads, but that is the extent of my knowledge. The service was pretty slow. There was a family of three in front of me on a Monday evening and it took quite awhile to process their order and then mine which only consisted of a medium Frosty and a Diet Coke. They share a location with Tim Horton’s and is located right off of Ford Rd. by Meijer and other shopping. I’m not quite sure I would make a special trip here, but if you are craving a vanilla Frosty and a burger, it may be worth your time. Just be patient!

I had finished shopping at Ikea. I had just received some Wendy’s coupons in the mail, so why not? Exit Ikea and turn left. Or do what I did, because I was driving hubby’s massive Excursion – turn right, drive a short way, then use a parking lot on the south side of the road to turn around. There really ought to be a boulevard to make it easier to turn left without having to accelerate like a rocket ship. Wendy’s is on the south side of Ford Road. The same direction you’d go to get back to 275. This place is slow. The woman who took my order was certainly pleasant enough, but I thought it was a little unprofessional for her to show me all the coupons she’d received during the day, allow me to keep mine, and then offer to let me take some more with me. Just take my coupon and keep it to yourself. But like I said, she was very pleasant and agreeable. My coupon was for Asiago Chicken. Buy that and get free small fries and drink. It was not as good as some other chicken sandwiches I’ve had from Wendy’s. It had a sour lilt. I prefer the spicy chicken. In the end, I would have been better off just getting the sandwich I like without any free add-ons. As a plant lover, I couldn’t help but notice all the dead and dying trees in the boulevard between Wendy’s and the bank. They really ought to cut them down, rather than leave dead trees as an eyesore. It was a bit tricky to turn right out of this place to get to 275. The traffic is thick and you have to cross a right turn lane to get to the lane that allows you to go straight through the nearby intersection to get to 275, but a nice person let me in.

The new Dave’s Hot N Juicy is neither hot nor juicy. The only thing better about it was the thicker, crinkle-cut pickles. The meat had no flavor ATALL. It has two pieces of cheese, not one, but I think they split the cheese slice in half to be ½ as thin. The cheese became one with the burger and was undetectable. We came inside at about 12:15 on a Sunday. Only one person was working the register and assembling orders. The line grew very long, and a few people left w/o ordering. Do yourself a favor and drive 2 miles east down Ford Rd to Five Guys. This is who Wendy is trying to immitate. Far miss, Wendy. I’ll be seeing those Guys next time I want a good burger.
