Today was a fascinating experience. I couldn’t wait to come here and write this review. We had been patients for a long time at the«Vision Ctr» in Canton, MI. We liked the Dr. very much but the girls in the office were not kind, not caring and very belittling with an attitude for some reason. So we tried«SEE» in Ann Arbor last year. I didn’t even remember that Dr’s name, so she didn’t make an impression on me. Also, their equipment seemed really«dinosaur» like and just ancient. So we researched and reviewed places to go and we saw that this Dr., Dr. Bohden, had great reviews, so we went there. I’m so glad that we did. He said that my prescription for reading was 2.50 and I only really need 2.0! Oh My Gosh! So I’ve been wearing glasses for a year that were way too strong for my eyes. What a way to make my eyes worse and gee, ya think that maybe that’s why I’ve had headaches when I never used to get them? He is a kind and patient man/Dr. He took a lot of time with each of us and even told us a joke or two. He was so patient with me, as I have an MTBI from a car accident in 2002 and sometimes I have a hard time focusing so it takes me a little longer than most people when they switch different lenses to see what you can see best with. He told me that he likes to give the lowest prescription with seeing the best! He has a class for contact lens wearers, or new contact lens wearers, I should say. It’s free too! Well, its included in your contact exam. So every other Dr. has told me that I coudlnt wear contact lenses. They said my «dry eye» wouldnt allow for it. But he says that now days they make«Ultra» lenses and if you do it right and it works well, then you dont need to wear your glasses so much and can wear contacts when you want a break! I was/am so happy to hear this because as I’ve said, I was always told that I could not ever wear them. It s so expensive, I just cannot believe it! These days everything is, but this is just waaay a lot. But he is not more than anyplace else, it’s just an expensive thing I guess. Insurance doesn’t pay for much either. But I must say that he has the best equipment, the best personality for working with people. He is so very knowledgable on the latest and up and coming advances in his field. He’s an all around awesome Dr. and we will be going back to this office for the rest of our days, as long as he’s there! There’s one more thing that I wanted to tell you about… You know that stuff, the drops that most eye dr’s put in your eyes. The ones that burn? I’ve never had anyone numb my eyes before doing that to them. I cant believe he did that. He numbed my eyeballs and I didnt feel that OR the stinging/burning drops that they use to weakly dilate your eyes. He has«weaker» drops that won’t las soo long too. He used the weaker drops to make my pupils larger so he could see the«behind the eye» photo better. He took the time to explain things like: Glaucoma, cateracts, Mac. Degeneration and even showed me the nerves, arteries and veins in my eyes and how they looked good! This is a MUSTGOTO vision center. Vision Without Limits, is an awesome place of business with people who truly care and who take the time for you. I would tell anyone I meet to go here. I trust Dr. Bohden and they/he were all awesome.

I have never enjoyed going to the eye doctor. I can actually say that I had a good time at my appointment yesterday with Dr. Bohdan. I will continue to go here as long as I live in the area– the service is unbeatable. First of all, and most importantly for me, you know that nasty part of your appointment when they numb your eyeballs, dilate your pupils, and touch them with that stick thing? YOUDON’T HAVETODOTHATHERE! You can actually opt to do a digital image of your eye instead, so you’re not out of commission for the rest of day due to light sensitivity and generally feeling icky. Yes, it was $ 39, but SO worth it! They just took digital pictures of the inside of my eyes, and then actually showed them to me on a screen and explained what everything was. It was fascinating. And they store them in their computer, so if my vision ever changes, they can look back at past images and see what went wrong. Amazing. Dr. Bohdan and the girls who work there are all super friendly and helpful. Also, they sell the big bottles of contact solution(the good stuff, BioTrue) for only $ 5, which is definitely something I’ll be taking advantage of.

A really great local vision place. Dr. Bohdan has the experience and desire necessary to give a high quallity level of care. He explains everything he is doing and where you fall. He knows the latest contact technologies and can help you into the best long term or daily contacts. He can foresee changes in your eyesight such as «needing reading glasses in a 2 – 3 years». I like him. VWL is family owned and the rest of the staff, Viv, Amy, and Rachel, are excellent as they know glasses and work well with the manufacturers when a problem arises. They are trying to resolve a manufacturers problem with some plating coming off prematurely on my expensive glasses that aren’t even 1 year old. Office has the latest exam equipment including optical photographs of your eyes that allow you to visually track your eye health over time which is important for diabetics — cost $ 39 extra though. Office is nicely decorated with some holiday decorations. Not a big waiting area for the kids to play while waiting for you to get an exam(worst part of this place) VWL accepts my insurance which helps with the exam and eyeglass cost. I actually have to drive over a half hour to get there as I like this place that much, so I have no problem recommending this place. Give it a try and I think you will write a review similar to mine!
