Everybody is right. You need to get the chai. Also, having lived in Brooklyn, we are pretty picky about our bagels. She was out of cream cheese when we got there but we feel like someone did us a favor. Our toasted bagel with butter was to die for! Great spot in Capitola.

I only stopped here because I found out that they sold North Shore Goodies’ coconut peanut butter. And that makes it awesome it my book(that stuff is amazing and I’m thrilled I can buy it fairly locally without the shipping from Hawaii). While there I ordered a Turtle(?) iced coffee and a slice of banana bread. The banana bread was delicious. The drink was not great. It was almost all syrup. I somewhat blame myself for ordering it since it has chocolate and toffee syrup and maybe something else. But I couldn’t drink it since it was too sweet/syrupy. I should have stuck with something more simple. The girl working was very nice and friendly. The Acai bowl looked yummy.

Wow this place is amazing! The Chai is to die for, hot or iced — best in town! They also have fresh baked goods that make the whole place smell like your grandmothers kitchen. The owner, Justina, is always smiling and ready to make her guests happy. Her whole staff is always very friendly and start your day just right! They also have Acai bowls which are delicious! Best coffee shop in Capitola!

We ran in here for a quick beverage, not knowing anything about the place, and couldn’t get over how delicious everything was. Great coffee. Homemade herb-infused lemonades. Definitely house-baked scones and other baked goods– all fresh, moist and not too sweet. Made with high quality ingredients. The woman behind the counter couldn’t have been nicer to us. Cozy place to relax. Highly recommended.

Heavenly pumpkin and white chocolate chip scones. The warm batches are quickly snatched so best to arrive before 11:00am.

The chai here is delicious. It’s loose leaf and not some concentrate. While that means it might take a few minutes to get your chai, you can wait for it in Calypso Cove’s very cute café seating. Staff is very friendly. Just a great little spot in the ever-adorable Capitola village.

I ordered an acai bowl here and while the employee seemed less than enthusiastic to take the time to make it(understandably so… it was a busy Sunday) it was absolutely divine. While it didn’t have the most appetizing appearance that I’ve seen with other bowls, I will be returning often as it was delicious.

Cute little coffee shop in Capitola. Really enjoyed my iced latte and the pumpkin white chocolate scone. My friend’s banana bread was moist and tasty. They also have prepared sandwiches and breakfast burritos in the refrigerated case if you need to grab a savory snack to go.

Cozy coffee shop with a warm-hearted staff. Even if it’s your first visit they make you feel like a regular. There are usually 3 different brews on tap, light to dark roast and they also do a full range of espresso drinks. Make sure to try their freshly baked banana bread. I would also recommend their Black Flower chai, which is sourced from the Santa Cruz Mountains and is delicious! Our dogs are always welcome to sit with us inside and there is a jar with dog cookies. A great alternative to the big coffee chains, don’t miss stopping in here if you’re in the area.

I love this lil place! They have great tea selection, great homemade scones, great tasting coffee, plus it’s family run! Super cute inside and always remembers your name… so glad this lil shop opened. ESP since it’s was vacant from the last coffee shop after the Capitola flood! New beginnings! Support you local small businesses!

Dancing Goats coffee! So delicious! In the last year, I have had to change the way I drink my coffee from lots of of yummy cream to none at all. So I’ve been on a quest to find a coffee I like drinking just plain black. Because I tried adding other«cream» choices, including soy milk, but nothing was making me happy. I discovered that without cream, I became very picky about my coffee. And probably a little grouchy! And then Calypso’s Cove opened and I discovered this wonderful coffee! Dancing Goats! I love the name(since I’m a Capricorn), and love the coffee. I’m happy again! If you are on a similar quest for that perfect«regular» cup of coffee, I recommend this place very highly. Very cute, nice little coffee place just up from the main Village – sort of close to the fire station. Someone wrote about the homemade carmels. Yes, they are that delicious! It takes all my willpower not to get one every time I go in. You must try them if you are a carmel lover!

What a great surprise to find such a good café in Capitola Village! I don’t drink fu-fu coffees very often, I usually just indulge in expresso– which is a good barometer of the quality of the beans, and the skill of the barista. On both counts Calypso’s Cove is a complete winner. They use Batdorf & Bronson organic coffee — so good. Today I had a lavendar &sea salt caramel candy that was amazing.(I like it when the salt actually has that little bit of crunch, it’s a great contrast) Most of the edibles are created«in house» by the proprietor. I will be retuning to give the other homemade items(scones ect.) a try, but it will be very hard not to grab one of those amazing caramel’s each and every time!

Glad to have this new café in town! We love the honey lavender caramels and the gluten free banana nut bread. Definitely going back to try other menu items, and we are eager for them to extend hours as the summer arrives.

Great new addition to Capitola Village. Owned by a local single mom. Had an excellent latte and a muffin. Also serves sandwiches and gourmet chocolates. Will be back soon.
